    Great advice and tips to look for so we don't run into an issue! Thanks John.

      I actually did not know this myself, it may be common knowledge, I don’t normally run 14” wheels on anything so I will call it a learning experience for me this time.

    Nice tip John! Thanks.. I ran into this problem last spring with mine. I ended up taking a metal rasp and file and filed the brackets down to where the rim wouldn’t rub. Took a while but it did the job. Wish I saw this video back then. 👍🏻

      I was going to do the same thing!! I really wanted to run 14” tires on this build. Next time I know what to look for.

    Nice tip! Car looks like its coming along nicely. I'm not gonna use my 15" wheels. Probably gonna go with the 17" year ones.

      I really like the year one wheels,
      I don’t think you can go wrong with those.

      I have built and owned several birds and never knew there was more then one type of caliper bracket, mostly because i haven’t used 14” wheels but on maybe two of them prior and just got lucky I suppose.

    Now r there’s the answer I’ve been looking for. Do you think my 68 drum wheels will clear that genuine Right Suff flat bracket?

    • @VinylVillageGarage
      @VinylVillageGarage  11 месяцев назад +1

      Maybe, there are some 14” wheels that will not clear the 14” brackets. I can’t tell which ones. I just know if you don’t have the 14” brackets none of the 14” wheels will clear.

    Jon, are the brackets available as a separate part, or do you have to order as a kit from Right Stuff? Car is looking good!
