The reason Jean shot Falco is because he had a whole character arc about how he was hesitating against killing humans, and how he shouldn't hesitate anymore.
No. It means they forgot how Eren and other people from island were suffering and dying because of Marley and their warriors. Pieck literally was part of poisoning Connie’s village but they feel bad for her
A lot of younger people couldn't handle season 4, because it's not longer the Marvel/LOTR-like hero trope of good fighting evil. AoT actually tells it in every season, how foolish this is, but many didn't listened and simply enjoyed the action, so it's a surprised Pikachu in season 4 when its no longer background philosophy but actually shown on the screen. That's exactly what Marley's MP who killed Zeke's sister said. After all, people want to see cruelty for entertainment, don't they? The contrasting reactions of the two sisters showed this well. One continues to be confused about how to handle this situation emotionally and is at a loss as to whom to root for. The other, on the other hand, is basically smiling and overjoyed every time Eren or a character from Paradis Island attacks and kills someone. Then, as soon as there is a scene of dead civilians or dialogue about it, she looks sad, understanding the “irrelevant victims” as she remembers them. Of course, she is not smiling because the Paradis characters are killing people, but because she is happy to see the Paradis characters in action. But you don't need to see the scene of dead civilians to imagine it. I just know that Paradis Island characters attacking = a lot of unrelated people being killed. Eren said, “There are people of color both inside and outside the walls,” which we both agreed with. Reiner also talked about the people on Paradis Island as “all kinds of guys” during a meal with his family, but Reiner's mother and Gabi dismissed this as “devils”. In contrast, they denied to Reiner's mother and Gabi that they were brainwashed. There must have been many “various people” other than the characters Eren and Reiner met. There were many “different people” on Paradis Island, in Marley, in the camps, and in other countries. There must have been many nameless people, both good and bad. There must have been people on Marley who did not think Eldians were “devils”. Not all of the people in the camps would consider the people of Paradis Island to be “devils”. Not all the people would have had the same ideology as the country. Still, there must have been many Marleys who had no choice but to follow the instructions of their country. Eren and his men stood on the corpses of “various people” who were not depicted as “famous characters,” and the way they smiled with joy at their battle reminded me, in a way, of the Marley MPs who killed Zeke's sister and some Marley citizens who were happy to see newspaper headlines about “their country's soldiers in action.
The Battle of liberio is THE definition of the "you reap what you sow". Marley has no buisness playing the Victim card. THEY created those monsters... Not to mention that it is THEM who declared war, AGAIN.
haha "why am i so annoyed" i think its the insane whiplash of who to side with, like your emotions are being pushed back and forth worried about the warriors while being worried about Eren, then being scared of Eren then being sad about warriors losing etc etc lol ( lol should have just let the video play. you guys said what i was thinking )
Last episode Willy told Magath "don't change on me now!" when he said they'd get a bunch of Eldians killed in the internment camp because he was showing that he cares for them.
Eren and armin did exactly what Reiner and bertholdt did in the very beginning. It makes sense why Eren moving forward from this and Reiner act the way they do. They both had to look at the people they were crushing and smashing while killing them. Bertholdt and Armin kinda had it easier than the other pair, they just have to transform once and it’ll kill most of the people in that area instantly. The colossal is so tall I doubt it can see any of the people it kills unless it’s a huge crowd. Whereas Eren and Reiner have normal sized titans so they can see everything they’re doing and causing
I've heard this about the US Military but it works in this context, "We dont believe in self defence, we believe in self offence. Its much more effective."
5:15 You know shit's gettin' real when the Guy whom we assumed to be the "good person" literally murder/clean few hundreds of people (both soldiers & civilians) in just a single blast If we combined the kill counts of Annie, Reiner & Bert, it's still less than that of Armin's And if I'm not wrong, at least Annie, Bert & Reiner didn't kill innocent civilians (almost all the martyr ones are war soldiers), which is not the case for Armin
what do you mean only soldiers. They broke the wall and called pure titans. So basically they used them as weapon to kill. Its like "Summoner" in RPG haha weird comparison , but still. Imo , all two sides have killed a lot of innocent people
The point of Attack On Titan, is perspectivism. There are no good guys or bad guys, thats the whole appeal, all sides do what they think is best, and they got good reasons for it. Watch it more like documentary, than root for someone specifically
From Marleyan's infiltrating the Island of Paradis and causing the deaths of many to Eren and the scouts playing the uno reverse on them and you now feel sorry for them is such a wild story. Never ending retaliation and war.
12:50 Reiner is weak and exhausted so when he transforms at the end his armor on the titan body doesn't fully generate. Similar to season 3 episode 1 for Eren during his practice
One important little moment here (7:55) is Jean's decision to fire the thunderspear at Falco. He pushes through the hesitation because the last time he was in this situation (when he had that MP at gunpoint on the back of the cart), it almost got him and his comrades killed. It's an interesting bit of character development to see how combat against humans has affected Jean Also for why Reiner's titan looks so different, this was actually a bit of a mistake on the part of the showrunners (No spoilers, but I will be talking about the visual difference between the manga and show). So in the show, we're shown that Reiner's armored plates have that golden brownish color, but the manga was publishing in black and white, so it doesn't really have the same tonal delineation between the plates and the skin of other normal titans. So when Reiner pops up in this form here, it's made very clear that he's in such a weakened state that his armored plates don't form properly - he just has jagged fragments on his shoulders, shins, and such, but his torso and face are completely bare and he looks essentially like a giant version of his human form. The showrunners for some bizarre reason colored what SHOULD be his bare titan skin the same golden brown as his armored plates. They also added the armor clinking sound effects when he moves (even though he's unarmored there) and made his eyes glow. Because of this, I've found that when most people who haven't read the manga see this scene for the first time, they assume Reiner is in like a new, more powerful form or something (the glowing eyes, the spiky shoulders etc), when in fact the total opposite is true. Reiner is so weak and broken, that he's unable to even fully form his titan, and is simply using all the strength he has left to push through for Gabbi and Falco. That probably didn't need explaining at this point since I'm sure you two have seen the next episode by the time this one airs, but still, it was a weird little production mistake I thought would be interesting to point out
The lessons people learned in S1-3 are coming up in twisted ways in these episodes. It's very interesting on rewatch e.g. In S1 when Levi Squad died to Annie, Eren learned he needs to act independently and aggressively to save the people he cares about. In S3 when Jean didn't take the shot on Kenny's soldier, he learned he has to put his humanity aside to save the people he cares about. I'm sure there's more but I'm piecing it together as I watch with yall. Crazy stuff & love the reactions

@@santiagonaranjo6672 OR MAYBE YOU KNOW people are actually sympathetic to the fact that the "titans" attacking Paradis were actual 9 year olds. OR MAYBE YOU KNOW the largest casualty of this attack are the Eldians in the internment zone who were discriminated their whole lives only to be killed by 'their own people'
@@yatharthrai4658 Killed by the people they hate and wished for their extermination, yes. Exactly. If only Marley would have left Paradise alone none of this would have happened. But no, they had to go an try to exterminate an entire race first, and yet, you´re still rooting for them, nice.

eren is the villain

A patriot ✊

Eren: Okay.
Marley: --oh crap wait never mind guys hold up

@@ShantyIrishman It reminds me of that scene from The Last of Us show, "It has to stop NOW, you mean? Now that YOU are in the cell?"
If you recall, wayyyyy back, what Eren said to Armin as he watched the walls fall... xD This is that culmination of his words and anger.
The sad part about this if you realize it that it's Eldians fighting themselves, just like in the Great Titan War in the play.
And for a minute there I thought Kiss was wearing a Santa Beast Titan shirt xD
Well it's Marley using eldians to fight eldians
I feel like we haven't seen that yet 😭 You talkin about what he said in EP 2?
@@cjjackson2423 Yeah about doing something to the Titans. Didn't want to mention anything just incase they want to revisit past eps xD
@@Silentreaver Yea, I feel like that hasn't happened yet 😅
I love Magath's face-palm after Eren juices the Warhammer and starts percussion-pounding Porco face-first on the ground. He's not having his best day ever...
Ah yes, the "We are the good guys, right?" moment.
damn eldians are the lesser evil ppl from the entire world.
13:06 this is why i love her: ''he use the jaw titan as... (proceeds to act it ) as a juicer ''
5:54 " One more Ackermann*!"
7:33 this was previewed at the end of S3
8:09 I mean the way he narrowed his eyes could mean either

From around this point, it becomes unclear which side I should align myself with, leading to an unstable perspective.
This episode is going to be ballistic.
Just to clarify, were you talking about Grisha's sister? Cause Zeke has no sister. Other than that, you laid everything perfectly.
The Battle of liberio is THE definition of the "you reap what you sow".
Marley has no buisness playing the Victim card.
THEY created those monsters... Not to mention that it is THEM who declared war, AGAIN.
"Wouldn't the Jaw have gotten some too?" No, Porco's hanging in a position where it's physically impossible to swallow.
Also I think he was too emotionally traumatized to even think about doing that anyway 🤣
i always think paradis had every right to retaliate so although its hard to watch the casualties it was bound to happen
The eren we all knew that was always crying from S1 to S3 is long gone
He's still the same bro
@@Kaiverze fr
There's nothing wrong with eren from previous seasons he has always been a great character & just became better & better
He looks like that, but deep down, he's the same.
“Who’s we anymore?” So true. My heart broke seeing armin kill all those people.
It either Paradis or Marley.. one has to stained their hands with blood. TATAKAE, EREN!
haha "why am i so annoyed" i think its the insane whiplash of who to side with, like your emotions are being pushed back and forth worried about the warriors while being worried about Eren, then being scared of Eren then being sad about warriors losing etc etc lol
( lol should have just let the video play. you guys said what i was thinking )
poor reiner, my dude just want to rest in peace
5:15 You know shit's gettin' real when the Guy whom we assumed to be the "good person" literally murder/clean few hundreds of people (both soldiers & civilians) in just a single blast
If we combined the kill counts of Annie, Reiner & Bert, it's still less than that of Armin's
And if I'm not wrong, at least Annie, Bert & Reiner didn't kill innocent civilians (almost all the martyr ones are war soldiers), which is not the case for Armin
@@Kaiverze that's a good point mate
If we consider the "indirect" kill-counts then yahh Annie, Bert & Reiner would most likely exceed that of Armin
what do you mean only soldiers.
Watch it more like documentary, than root for someone specifically
perspectivisticism*
There is only bad guys here.
They all have their reasons, but they all did something terribly wrong. It is not in the nor good or bad zone.
From Marleyan's infiltrating the Island of Paradis and causing the deaths of many to Eren and the scouts playing the uno reverse on them and you now feel sorry for them is such a wild story. Never ending retaliation and war.
8:04 Jean hesitated but don't forget the cart helped almost wipe out the scouts
Stuff looks a bit different because the animation studio changed for season 4
12:50 Reiner is weak and exhausted so when he transforms at the end his armor on the titan body doesn't fully generate. Similar to season 3 episode 1 for Eren during his practice
Jean does Care but he knows it has to be Done no matter what- although because he hesitated it didnt hit Pieck
One important little moment here (7:55) is Jean's decision to fire the thunderspear at Falco. He pushes through the hesitation because the last time he was in this situation (when he had that MP at gunpoint on the back of the cart), it almost got him and his comrades killed. It's an interesting bit of character development to see how combat against humans has affected Jean
Also for why Reiner's titan looks so different, this was actually a bit of a mistake on the part of the showrunners (No spoilers, but I will be talking about the visual difference between the manga and show).
That probably didn't need explaining at this point since I'm sure you two have seen the next episode by the time this one airs, but still, it was a weird little production mistake I thought would be interesting to point out
1:33
Clarissa: Stop!
*It stops*
"fun" fact, gabi's voice actress actually hurt her voice when doing the screaming
Damn yeah it sounded really painful
"Eren needs to be controlled"
This will surely not be the last time this is said this final season.
The lessons people learned in S1-3 are coming up in twisted ways in these episodes. It's very interesting on rewatch
Hey again I just realized I’ve been spelling Haylo’s name wrong ever since😂 I’m sorry for that..I apologize 🙏🏾 please check out CLASSROOM OF THE ELITE. Thank you😂 and hey Kiss👋🏾
Poor Armin, seeing Bertholdt’s point of view.
when u feel guilty for them , just remember what they did to paradise ahahaha
14:05 "Paradise against the world, Like WHAT!".
Lol, do you guys think the world even stand a slight chance? 🤣
11:10 «Eren needs to be controlled»
I'd prefer Marley to be controlled
yesss🔥 Paradise has been tormented for hundreds of years, because Marley has tortured paradise too many times, Eren did his job well to take revenge, marley makes a devil is born, i love eren, eren is not naive
Yes, it is a grey area.
Giddy laughter at Armin nuking the port. “That’s a lot of people,” “Yeah” “Oh yeah…” Grimaced and then “Anyway…”
Never change. 👍
I love seeing you in the same clothes because it is an indication that you are so "addicted" that you "binged" the show...
And here we have an old joke:
Armin: "I want to see the sea!"
Season 4 - Armin: "Nuke the sea!"
This show is not about choosing teams, but what is right.
10:44 Season 4 animation was taken over by MAPPA studios, that’s why Eren’s titan looks so much more menacing.
When you realise rooting for the "good guys" in a war makes you the bad guy from the other's perspective
eldians were the good guys. the world is just sour losers.
Armin is crying in the corner🤣
Eren is true man. They hurt his family, they will pay. Simple.
Haylo after seeing Beast Titan: "Go away"
Levi: He already has
Levi*
That conflicted feeling... it's part of the story...
Hahahahah I love the contradictions they're finding...personally I love the change in Eren and always thought he was right. 100% Team Eren hehe 😁😁
Peak EREN begins now 🤌😍😇
Who's "we" anymore 😂😂😂😂 that's so cool tone for the entire season now
The scene of Gabi and Falco screaming for Reiner :,) This story is too much.
Who is going to win this war? And who are the good ones, and who are the bad ones? is it worth winning? well, that's why it's so good AOT
Don't question just root for the devil's of paradise
Eren: "I heard ya'll were having a BBQ."
Armin: "Did somebody say BBQ?"
"Who are we rooting for anymore?" lol. This is why I've only been rooting for brutality from the start.
He has sooooo much character development. Still, it is an understatement.
