Yeah kinda wish that happened at the end of the episode so that reactors would stop and discuss more of what happened in the first half of the episode, which was SO MUCH. Most reactors, like these two, tend to focus on the latter half. But I can see why the producers did it this way; trying to squeeze the last half of this episode into the next two episodes (or expanding it all to 3 episodes) would have been difficult.
I never thought about it before Kiss mentionned it, but Reiner and Porco transfering memories because Reiner was touching the Founding Titan makes perfect sense. Always thought it was due to the thrill of the battle and emotions, Porco being on the verge of death type of moment, but no she is right, damn.

Because otherwise if you think about it, Titan Shifter could already tell the truth about what happened before the Great Titan War, and things would have been different from the start. Tybur family passed down the memories along with the Titan power from the beginning of the new Marley era until Willy's play, but they chose to keep it a secret. For example, Eren could only see Grisha's memories, Armin those of Bert, Porco those of Ymir, etc.

i like how its always the Attack titan who seek freedom, but a subplot that it's not necessary given but it's brilliant is how the Jaw titan its always living for others. Marcel saved his brother making Reiner the Armored titan and then sacrificed himself to save Reiner when Ymir woke up. Ymir, who her desires was to live for anyone but herself enlisted the military only to met another girl that had a past like her and helped her (also helped (with hard words) Connie and Sasha) and in the end she sacrificed herself so Reiner and Bert could came back to their homes. Finally Porco, who had little screen time but great development in all of it, gave his life to revert Falco to his human form.
Man rewatching these episodes after a year or two really puts it into perspective how special this show is. It surpasses just being an anime it is a show that holds up against real life dramas.

That’s the price of war I guess. In the end are you really supposed to feel happy after killing your enemy? No, it’s an empty feeling.
I never thought about that. Before, she was always hate filled or angry while she was killing, or happy while she bragged about it. This time, she was not only crying because of Falco--the consequences of this war--but she was taking no pleasure in the war or this kill.

One of my favorite episodes The moment with the scream was very atmospheric and beautifully done. How everyone turned. This doom feels right. The music is well chosen. I'm sorry for Brother Falco, he was a good man. I was with him to the end, literally sacrificing my life. In Russia, the dubbing actors read the manga and joked on backstages something like "a crazy series", "Gaby blows your head off." It doesn't seem to be spoilers, but those who knew understood and laughed at it.
I don't know if Eren intended it or not, but Zeke must have seen that Eren had failed to receive his treasured ball and was no longer willing to give up suspicions about Eren. These depictions in this show are really great ⚾️

When this chapter came out in the manga, Gabi shooting Eren's head off was on the last page. We had to wait one month with that moment on our mind to know if the protagonist we knew and loved for years was dead.
Now that you say that, I remember seeing that first time around. The real question is, why did Eren let these same titans kill Eldians after starting the Rumbling if he was trying to protect everyone that drank the spinal fluid?

This episode showed that eren, while using zekes spinal fluid to essentially control the military, he never wanted to actually use it to turn them into titans. That what zeke wanted, not what eren wanted. Eren only wanted them to comply, he never wanted them to actually turn into titans, which is why he said “wait!”
And that's for titans, not the human bodies of Titan shifters. The rule for shifters seems to be that given time, they can heal anything that isn't ~instantly fatal, but they can't heal from being outright killed in one shot. Eren would be dead here, but Zeke caught his head during the few-second period where consciousness is maintained after a clean decapitation. (We all talk about FaZe Gabi, but if she'd aimed a few inches higher the show would be over here!)

This is my favourite episode of Attack on Titan. The sheer brilliance for everything to come together in a climax like this, and the climax itself being a setup for another climax soon after... everything about this episode is a masterpiece in my eyes.

Yeah, I miss Potato, but so many people die anyways and her death is needed for so many other scenes to shine I've made my peace with it.

All Reiner wants is to die, and he just cannot seem to get his sweet relief of death out of his hell. But he doesn't realize how much he's needed by those around him to make the world a better place. And Gabi finally not relishing in killing, so much growth. Haters gonna hate, but she's pretty awesome. Yeah, I miss Potato, but so many people die anyways and her death is needed for so many other scenes to shine I've made my peace with it.
