"Everyone's a slave to something... even him." I'm glad this quote stuck with you because it's a great quote to reflect on while you learn more about characters motives in season 4.
Remember what Pixes said some episodes ago: “To tell a good lie, you should mix in some truth.” That's what Zeke did about spinal fluid. Now think about other things that've been said.
The "Everyone was a slave to something" speech by Kenny is one my favourite scenes in this show. Setting aside how cool and what an absolute badass Levi is (would marry the man in a heartbeat), I've found myself always entirely comfortable being "on his side", so to speak. This show is constantly showing us different sides and perspectives and the only person I've never had any problem sticking by was Levi. Of *all* people😂 He doesn't have these big ideals or extremes he's chasing single mindedly. He just takes it from situation to situation and just evaluates. Takes into consideration his own personal feelings, what other people want, the greater good etc. and just takes it from there. There are things he "regrets", things he'll never forgive or forget, things he's willing to compromise on and whatever he did or decided on I could always understand and sympathize with. That's one big reason why he's my favourite character, I could always relate to the way he thinks and felt comfortable with it.
same. imo he understood people very well, he could see the reality of the world, the gritty and unsavoury parts, but it didn't blind him to the good. ETA: I've debated with myself if I would have preferred to see Levi finally *free*, rather than condemned to be the lonely survivor once again, with all the scars and anguish it entailed, because c'mon, the poor guy never got a break since he was born! But the goodbye with his former comrades felt like a burden being lifted, at last, and Isayama showed us that, in the world that survived, Levi found new bonds and his own form of peace. So maybe an imperfect but contented life is the best ending he could have. Even if the focus of Isayama's finale is not on him, for me Levi embodied humanity(the best part of it) as a whole: plagued by loss, left broken and battered, but still alive to see another day, determined on making the best out of a terrible situation. Like, yes, human nature is unchangeable for best and for worst, and too often the worst wins, but there's still something good to find. Little moments of happiness, like seeing children smile when they receive a sweet🥺

In episode 06 of the third season, during the conversation between Kenny Ackerman and his grandfather it became clear that Mikasa is immune to the manipulation of the Titan power. She has always been and will be free because she has the ability to act of her own free will, but her actions and decisions have a causal origin, if this were not the case, we would be talking about metaphysical free will. In this case her will would be the first cause of her actions and would be exempt from prior determinations. Mikasa is free because her decisions are based on the conditions of her environment, perceptions, desires and emotions, and are determined by various factors, such as biological predispositions (non-genetic), and her learning history. Her decisions are caused by a mental process based on her beliefs and desires, she is free because decides based on her knowledge, values and needs, and not by other sets of causes such as pathologies or external coercion.
Levi the goat, as always, beast is 0-3 against Levi with an average "being on your feet" time of 10 seconds once they've both engaged battle with each other.
13:46 it's like... 14:0014:36 This dislike is often mixed or against Floch, but in a different situation...people sometimes agree that he's become a better leader. Oh! And also emulating Erwin, with success 14:14 there are comments about his reasons 14:28 their guilty fidgeting hands (absent from the reaction, but maybe you guys remember the zoom in on the soldier holding their hands/trying to hide their bloody knuckles in shame 15:00 ...vomit, not shit 20:00 Mm 21:16 the baseball and mitt. Falco asked about it. "Gift(s) from your family." "Yeah."
Here i'll reveals the thing about Ackermanns only the manga explained. Since it's not in the anime but it's revealed in the same moment in the manga, it's not a spoiler. They were made by an Eldian king before the foundation of the walls. Ackermanns are basically Eldians that were created by this unnamed king. How did it work ? Since they are Eldians, they are connected to the Paths, or the coordinate if you want. It means that they were able to turn into titans before becoming Ackermanns. By using this connection, the king gave them the power of the titans with keeping their bodies human. Basically, Ackermanns manifest the strength of a titan even in human form, in proportion of their size, indeed. They are not as strong as a 15 meters class titan. But if there were human size titans, it would have been how Ackermanns are strong. That's why there is a lightening in Mikasa's body when she awake her powers. And their second power is to obtain fight experiences through the memories in the Paths and the Coordinate. It means they have all the knowledge of fightings and wars, coming from their ancestors, in their body. It manifest with an immediate instinct to take action, with a surhuman reflex. But since they have already a power from titans, inside their human bodies, they can't turn into titans anymore. They are titans, but in human. That's why, if you erase titan's power, they will be just mere humans, and lose all their strength and surhuman reflex.
Fun fact: When this episode was airing, it stopped on Keith's part because there was a big earthquake in Japan, the news was overtaking all the TV channels in Japan.
This ep made me cry too much..how much the og trio changed from "Let's go see the sea together" to "I've always hated you." And how many times Levi had to watch his squad die 😭😭
When Eren was shit talking armin these two were smiling Like oh that makes sense he’s feeling bertholds feelings but as soon as he says something about mikasa they all like “don’t talk to her like that”😂😂😂
"Eren is a slave to freedom." I absolutely REFUSE to believe you guys figured that out on your own. No one can be that good and perceptive!!! PS You guys are amazing!
Ackermans and the hosts they imprinted on: Mikasa - Eren Levi - Erwin Kenny - Uri But Levi was able to make the decision to let his host die...and all of them had relationships based on genuine respect...
I really love this episode cos it gives you a lot to be angry at and a lot to think about. I was pissed at this talk session but I was extremely confused. Eren hates mikasa? Eren punching armin? The same armin he wanted to beat up levi to save, the same armin his best friend? How? Mikasa who eren was willing to punch a titan (as a human) for? How? Then of course there was erens statement of armin being controlled by bert but then eren himself insisting "I Am Free"...what makes him so sure that among everyone else who seems to have ulterior motives and is playing ir being played by somebody, he is free. hmm quite an interesting concept...food for thought
oHH NOOO Less than 10 secs in doing laundry so lemme add that at this point, the concept of the "Ackerbond" was brought into the world for the audience The devotion. So everyone concluded: Kenny - Uri, Levi - Erwin, Mikasa - Armin 0:55 you hear the squeak 1:17 "wanna talk quietly" 10:00 aaaa 10:03 and this squint is almost like... to me it's a goodbye. Under that, almost acceptance that he needs to do something or knows it's coming It's the same narrow eye/slits thing he did - 1 When flying past his team, it's similar to when he stopped to stare at dead Petra 2. When Erwin insists on going, finally admitting that he doesn't care if he dies, it matters more than his legs or humanity's victory. Levi gets quiet, _might_ have done it? Before saying (like he did in S1) that he'll trust Erwin's judgment. 3. Here.
Concerning the Ackermans, the Founding Titan affected the memories of the Paradis population by control of Eldian genetics. The Ackermans are 'designed' in the same way, superhumans built by the Founding Titan's powers in service to the old Eldian Monarchy, then later ostracised because of their immunity to that aforementioned memory manipulation once the walls were erected.
Eren is bs with the Armin memory thing You only inherit memories..not feelings..after all, or else Eren should've inherited feelings for his own mom from his dad. All that the memories of Bert gave Armin was just a different prespective of Annie...which may have caused Armin to see Annie differently but his feelings are his own
I just want to clear one thing, how can you be a slave if you’re free? that makes Eren not a slave but i just love the way Hayla remembers and connects everything like the kenney thing that’s the beauty of AOT, 👏🏻❤️
When he says made he means in the sense like they were “bred” for defense and military capabilities. That’s why Kenny, Levi and mikasa can dodge bullets and fight so well and are durable and strong, like how birds on different islands with different food has different beaks
Actually, no. Ackermanns are the result of titan power experiences. They are titans in human size, created by the king. It's explained in the manga, not in the anime. Si you can go read scan to check that. And that's why they can't turn into titans. Ackermanns have the strength of titans, in proportion with their size, and fighting experiences from their ancestors.
@@vincentvieille5996 you right, I do remember reading or hearing something like that, but at the same time I think your take and mine have some truth to them, I thought that like how titan shifters have the memories from previous users to figure Out their powers and learn the history, I thought the Ackermans battle experience always gets passed down and that’s why their stats are superhuman, and the royal family always gets the will to not fight back u feel me
@@TVGameControlyes, when they "awaken" they gain access to the fighting experience of their bloodline through paths, which then comes to them in times of need
@@Bridge2110 I dont have the way to tell you know. But it's the chapter that are is about this scene when Eren beat up Armin. The chapter corresponding to this episode. When said things that are not in the anime.
SPOILER!!!!!!!!!!! I just had to get that out there, but after learning everything and watching it a million times, Eren kept trying to get to Zeke before he could turn anyone into Titans. Zeke mentioned that he and Eren had a place predetermined to meet up, which makes it confusing why Eren wants to know so badly where he is unless Eren was trying to get to Zeke before he could activate the Scouts. Then in Two Brothers, when Zeke goes to scream and activate the rest of the Titans Eren yells, no or don't, just trying to stop him. I had noticed the Two Brothers event but it wasn't until the girl's confusion about Eren wanting Zeke's location that I realized this earlier attempt at saving everyone...This show is so good
This. To me, the problem with Eren is similar to what happens in the real world. Mediocre people obtain extraordinary power then forget that they aren't smart enough to make big decisions alone. They stop trusting the wisdom of the people who care about them and develop such a narrow perspective that they never consider that their choices might be wrong.
this comment is more for the ones who didnt understand it well than for the girls cz theyre really smart and soon will catch it by themselves No, Armin doesnt visit Annie due to Berts memories. Its as easy as to think Eren has the founding titan (all past shifters), Grisha and Lara but even he does what he does, so no, past inheritors doesnt affect the future ones
"Do we have a choice?...Is that just future and nothing will change it" Man they are really really good at this. Even if they don't know it at the time.
The Jaegerists are extremists. Because Eldia is in an extreme situation, fight or wait to die. I've heard people criticize Eren for years, I have yet to hear anyone come up with a third option. It was fight or wait to die. They chose to fight.
@@Azetaris Exactly. But people SOMEHOW come to the conclusion that Eren wants people dead just because they weren't from Paradis cuz hes a cold blooded killer. 💀
Something that immediately didn't sit right with me about Eren's claims about Mikasa: we've seen her deck him when he was being mean to Armin in S1! Much to think about!
In season 3, it's explained that the Ackermans were made to protect the king. I think you two forgot about that. They also can't have their memories erased like other eldians.
7:00 Sadly, the anime doesn't explain... I've seen some comments on other reactions that it's explained in the manga but for us, it is what it is... 15:54 We actually already saw him, like twice in Season 3... Something I don't get in the finale, for those who have seen it, is in this episode. At least, the only one I can think of where I can make a connection: "How did Levi know, if he didn't?" 🤔 Wow, you two are so perceptive... ❤
“If you want to tell a good lie, mix in a little truth.” Think back to what you know, don’t take everything at face value! (What was Kenny and his grandfather’s conversation about, and what were Eren’s feelings throughout the show?)
Armin's voice actor revealed that while recording this scene, Mikasa's voice actor was crying in a place that Eren's voice actor couldn't see😢 They too have lived together with this anime.
Zeke underestimated Levi's capacity in killing his former comrades and Levi underestimated Zeke's drive to fulfill his mission at whatever cost. A very fitting title for this episode. Edit: Oh wait, I had my eps mixed, I thought this was the boom cliffhanger.

14:36 Eren look so sad and so lonely
13:46 it's like...
14:00 14:36 This dislike is often mixed or against Floch, but in a different situation...people sometimes agree that he's become a better leader. Oh! And also emulating Erwin, with success
14:14 there are comments about his reasons
14:28 their guilty fidgeting hands (absent from the reaction, but maybe you guys remember the zoom in on the soldier holding their hands/trying to hide their bloody knuckles in shame
15:00 ...vomit, not shit
20:00 Mm
21:16 the baseball and mitt.
That frame of Levi surrounded might be the coldest picture of all time.
Fun fact: When this episode was airing, it stopped on Keith's part because there was a big earthquake in Japan, the news was overtaking all the TV channels in Japan.
9:51 this scene gives me chills “are you in there somewhere” damn.
Either you're the best actresses on the planet or you just are geniuses, you will come out on top! Keep going!!!
Eren couldn't beat Armin with words, so he beat him physically
Eren couldn't beat Mikasa physically, so she beat her with words
All the Ackermans have someone they're loyal to. Kenny had Uri, Levi had Erwin, and Mikasa has Eren
This ep made me cry too much..how much the og trio changed from "Let's go see the sea together" to "I've always hated you." And how many times Levi had to watch his squad die 😭😭
Every time I watch it I fell in love with both of them 😍
Episode title: Savagery.
They ain't kiddin'.
The man playing with zeke is the previous beast titan host, we already saw him in another episode
When Eren was shit talking armin these two were smiling Like oh that makes sense he’s feeling bertholds feelings but as soon as he says something about mikasa they all like “don’t talk to her like that”😂😂😂
Glad someone noticed too lmao
"what gave you the idea that you could escape from me". Damn levi chill
Remember what pixis said a few episodes ago? The best way to tell a good lie is to mix in a little bit of the truth.
"Eren is a slave to freedom." I absolutely REFUSE to believe you guys figured that out on your own. No one can be that good and perceptive!!!
PS You guys are amazing!
that's so easy to catch wtf
Dawg armin literally calls him a slave in this episode. It's not that hard to catch on.
Simpin ain't ez
You two are some of the sharpest reactors I’ve seen. Keep up the great sleuthing!
@04:01 in EREMIKA we trust 😌🙏💕
Here for the “EMOTIONAL DAMAGE”
"I just want to watch the next one" we all felt this in real time when these aired XD
Ackermans and the hosts they imprinted on:
Mikasa - Eren Levi - Erwin Kenny - Uri
But Levi was able to make the decision to let his host die...and all of them had relationships based on genuine respect...
Except the host part is a lie made up by Eren.
the host thing doesn't exists
I hope you're prepared for the end because after that you'll never be the same.
"Levi stop and marry me right now".
GET IN LINE YOUNG LADY!! SOME OF US HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR YEARS!!! 😂
12:02 LMAOO WHAT EVERYONES THINKING
Eren just gaslighting mikasa about ackerman thing
This was my favorite episode of the whole series tbh. So many awesome and memorable scenes.
12:03 GURL, SAME 🤣🤣
I really love this episode cos it gives you a lot to be angry at and a lot to think about.
Armin leaped across the table first and wanted to get violent during a diplomatic discussion after pushing his "I'm a negotiable ☝️🤓"
oHH NOOO
Less than 10 secs in doing laundry so lemme add that at this point, the concept of the "Ackerbond" was brought into the world for the audience
The devotion. So everyone concluded: Kenny - Uri, Levi - Erwin, Mikasa - Armin
0:55 you hear the squeak
1:17 "wanna talk quietly"
10:00 aaaa
10:03 and this squint is almost like... to me it's a goodbye. Under that, almost acceptance that he needs to do something or knows it's coming
It's the same narrow eye/slits thing he did -
1 When flying past his team, it's similar to when he stopped to stare at dead Petra
Give your heart ❤️🔥‼️
LONG LIVE THE Eldia‼️
Eren is bs with the Armin memory thing
You only inherit memories..not feelings..after all, or else Eren should've inherited feelings for his own mom from his dad.
All that the memories of Bert gave Armin was just a different prespective of Annie...which may have caused Armin to see Annie differently but his feelings are his own
8:33 WOW!
I just want to clear one thing, how can you be a slave if you’re free? that makes Eren not a slave but i just love the way Hayla remembers and connects everything like the kenney thing that’s the beauty of AOT, 👏🏻❤️
Love your reactioooon, i might have to rewatch the whole show with your reactions cause theyre hilarious really, best anime for me, i grew up with it
When he says made he means in the sense like they were “bred” for defense and military capabilities.
@@vincentvieille5996 you right, I do remember reading or hearing something like that, but at the same time I think your take and mine have some truth to them, I thought that like how titan shifters have the memories from previous users to figure
Out their powers and learn the history, I thought the Ackermans battle experience always gets passed down and that’s why their stats are superhuman, and the royal family always gets the will to not fight back u feel me
@@TVGameControlyes, when they "awaken" they gain access to the fighting experience of their bloodline through paths, which then comes to them in times of need
@@vincentvieille5996 What chapter is that explained?
@@Bridge2110 I dont have the way to tell you know. But it's the chapter that are is about this scene when Eren beat up Armin. The chapter corresponding to this episode. When said things that are not in the anime.
Eren is a slave to freedom?
Stop! 🙂
5:22 oh wow, "that means Levi is like that too" says Haylo, and sure enough he repeated himself, are you guys royal blood? 😅
I had noticed the Two Brothers event but it wasn't until the girl's confusion about Eren wanting Zeke's location that I realized this earlier attempt at saving everyone...This show is so good
Levi was devoted to Erwin as Mikasa is to Eren.
Essentially attack on Titan is a villain’s origin story
12:02 WAHAHAH "stop and marry me now levi" this is the best reaction!
It is crazy how much y'all predict correctly
this comment is more for the ones who didnt understand it well than for the girls cz theyre really smart and soon will catch it by themselves
No, Armin doesnt visit Annie due to Berts memories. Its as easy as to think Eren has the founding titan (all past shifters), Grisha and Lara but even he does what he does, so no, past inheritors doesnt affect the future ones
Loving the long discussions after the episode
8:33 now way y'all are way too smart
"Mr. Ksaver, I hope you're watching!"
I nearly cried when Eren beat Armin. It was tough to see and they were so close their whole lifes and to see him do that was heartbreaking 💔
So, the next episode is the Zeke backstory? Damn! Things are going to get only crazier and crazier and grayer and grayer!
"Do we have a choice?...Is that just future and nothing will change it"
Man they are really really good at this. Even if they don't know it at the time.
1:39 The way eren looks at mikasa
One of the best episodes in the series
Que raro que no se plantearan que Eren estuviera mintiendo dentro de las posibilidades
La voz de Eren uffff
12:10 My Gf said the same. After that i said the same about Mikasa...
Greeting from me on the sofa, my new bed 😀
i'm in awe with your theories
The Jaegerists are extremists. Because Eldia is in an extreme situation, fight or wait to die. I've heard people criticize Eren for years, I have yet to hear anyone come up with a third option. It was fight or wait to die. They chose to fight.
❤
Because there was never going to be a third option. It was fight or die. You can't be peaceful if the other side, says f you.
@@Azetaris Exactly. But people SOMEHOW come to the conclusion that Eren wants people dead just because they weren't from Paradis cuz hes a cold blooded killer. 💀
10:55 i’ll never get over how FED UP Zeke is that Levi is still alive 🤣🤣 “WHAT THE HELL, DAMMIT? AGAIN?!” he is TIRED!
Isayama is always like ''Hmm Levi seems relaxed, let's kill everyone he cares about''
we love u guys thx for posting! 😊
Something that immediately didn't sit right with me about Eren's claims about Mikasa: we've seen her deck him when he was being mean to Armin in S1! Much to think about!
18:10 "It's like he's not the Eren that we knew" "That we fell in love with" "Yeah" "Not at all".... is he really not, though...?
he’s not
@@noe-pz8ju to me he's is exactly the same character he always has been. How is he not?
You guys are very perceptive. It's really cool to watch 😄
In season 3, it's explained that the Ackermans were made to protect the king. I think you two forgot about that. They also can't have their memories erased like other eldians.
@11:58 this had to happen LMAOOOOOO
7:00 Sadly, the anime doesn't explain... I've seen some comments on other reactions that it's explained in the manga but for us, it is what it is...
15:54 We actually already saw him, like twice in Season 3...
Something I don't get in the finale, for those who have seen it, is in this episode. At least, the only one I can think of where I can make a connection:
"How did Levi know, if he didn't?" 🤔
Wow, you two are so perceptive... ❤
"and i am captain levi"
**fangirl noises**
"um... what was that?"
"ignore that"
2:50 Eren just graduated from casual to competitive gaslighting >_
Levi is my favorite anime character
“If you want to tell a good lie, mix in a little truth.” Think back to what you know, don’t take everything at face value! (What was Kenny and his grandfather’s conversation about, and what were Eren’s feelings throughout the show?)
Armin's voice actor revealed that while recording this scene, Mikasa's voice actor was crying in a place that Eren's voice actor couldn't see😢
They too have lived together with this anime.
"Levi is great " is an understatement
"I'm a slave to freedom"😳
I love AoT !❤
Zeke underestimated Levi's capacity in killing his former comrades and Levi underestimated Zeke's drive to fulfill his mission at whatever cost. A very fitting title for this episode.
Edit: Oh wait, I had my eps mixed, I thought this was the boom cliffhanger.
@purpleemerald5299 If you're worried abt them getting spoiled, they've watched the ep already. It's in their patreon, I think they're at Dawn of Humanity ep already.
12:01 🤣🤣🤣🤣🔥
You guys are smart
12:03 :D
