  • What better way to experience this bygone era of Seattle, than by hopping on a vintage monorail & harbour tour? Climb aboard a Ferry for tourist's, the kind with peeling paint and a captain who still calls everyone "sport." Feel the spray of the Puget Sound (+ the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard) on your face as you chug past Pier 54, where freighters unloaded lumber and fishermen hawked their catch.
We'll weave through the labyrinthine piers, past tugboats chugging like metallic turtles, and rusty freighters with names like "Pacific Sun" and "Lady of the Sea." Hear tales of longshoremen and loggers, of grizzled old salts and starry-eyed dreamers who came to Seattle seeking their fortune.
But let's not forget the beauty that lurks beneath the industrial grit. As the sun dips towards the horizon, painting the Space Needle in shades of orange and pink, we'll glide past Bainbridge Island, its forested slopes reflected in the still water. Watch sailboats dance on the waves, orcas breaching in the distance, their calls echoing across the bay.
