I live north of Baltimore near the PA line, but my son lives in the city so I go there from time to time. This may be an unpopular thing to hear since so many people want to believe its blighted and dead, but I believe that the city is turning around. I see places that used to be in rough shape, looking noticeably better. People seem to be taking pride in their neighborhood. Crime is lower than it's been in quite some time. And for a change, their mayor seems to be an honest person. I think Baltimore is on the verge of seeing better times.

I was 7 in 1976, we used to visit Brighton as we did and still do live in Sussex. I remember seeing a skateboard for the first time in Brighton and getting one for Christmas that year. I also remember going on the west pier before it was closed, so great to see that in the film looking much better than today

Yep, I am a folkestone, cheriton lad, born 1950, nice video, memories, we would walk just about everywhere There is nothing wrong with my home town that is not wrong with the whole UK As boys we would fish from that which today is the harbour arm,, memories Back then people would be able to deal with life's many problems in a way that they cannot today, Folkestone, a special place, thanks for the memories

My family shopped in JM Fields often when I was a kid in the 60s. I don't recall ever seeing it this busy; this must be Christmastime in the video. I suppose this is what Amazon would look like now if it was a brick and mortar store! 😆

Good video, I lived in Folkestone for a couple of months in 1995. What went wrong after the early 60's until around the mid 70's and stayed Wrong still until now! People has changed!

Old home movies like this fascinate me because when they filmed this it was in the expectation that only a couple of people would ever see it and they could never of predicted that years later thousands of strangers would watch it!

I live about 20 miles from Niagara Falls and this is a really good view of how it looks in the winter.

I love films of this time period. I especially like seeing the old cars and the fashions that the people were wearing.

I have a Elvis Presley .45 record with J.M. Fields our price with .59c on it. Dept 53. I never knew there was J.M. Fields stores. I miss circuit city’s , Best products , sears , wards loading dock before circuit city. The record is The first time ever I saw your face & American trilogy on flip side. It was in a foot locker I bought from a Elvis collector that died & his daughter sold it full of collectible Elvis stuff for $50. I paid with 5 rolls of quarters. One insert in the locker booked for $250 then, early 90s. Probably more now.

I think I vaguely remember going there around this time-although I was only 8 then so am not too sure! I vaguely remember going around The Lanes, and eating at the different restaurants like the Berni, Henekey, Rabb and Schooner at the time. Thank you too!

The three clues are the Forth Road Bridge (opened for business 4th September 1964) (07:33) and the two art galleries on the Mound (both having been cleaned by Aug-Sept. 1964.) (08:13). However the clinching clue is the half-built building on Princes Street (just to the right (east) of Frederick Street) which was at this stage of construction in autumn 1965, being completed by summer 1966 (08:10).
