I've thought of summaries of how each of various car channels can be summarized. The Grand Tour is "How can these cars (and a big budget) turn three old British guys into middle schoolers?"
Others:
Donut Media: "How did this car, company, or other aspect of motoring come to be?" (Not everything, but all their most notable core content such as B2B, Up 2 Speed, Wheelhouse, are this.)
Engineering Explained: "How does this car work?"

If you had said U 1206, then maybe. But I am actually not sure what's worse, the PT Cruiser or a submarine that sank due to a handling error concerning the on-board toilet.

I have a funny story involving that game "Battleship" which this video is based on. One day, when I was about 11, I challenged my Grandfather to the board game "Battleship", and I lost about as badly as anyone could lose. I didn't even hit one of his ships, and he annihilated me. The thing is, I forgot to take into account that challenging my grandfather to a game that was based around Naval combat was probably not a good idea based on whom he served at the time. You see, he was a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy. I learned a valuable lesson that day, and it is certainly one I will never forget. Still, looking back, I am happy I played that game with him. He died in 2019 sadly and boy do I miss him.

Predictable, dull, boring. It was entertaining 20 years ago. Seeing this skit rolled out over and over again makes for the dullest of TV. The producers must have absolutely no imagination.

Just realized what they should use as a missile: Ford Pintos, falling back-end-first. Simpler in that you won't need to set up any sort of fuse or trigger system, it will automatically explode on impact.
James actually getting really into this and overly excited is the best part.

He always does that little dance, I'll never forget the one where they cheated him out of his score, divvy what he already had & the other 2 mocking him saying he was out of it, then last category was price paid for car, 1pt per £, after thinking he won, James took the pen from Jeremy & wrote down how much he'd paid (I know it's scripted but still great to my 12yo brain)
I've watched this show for over twenty years, this was the very best and most fun episode, There have been more daring, better acted, better scripts and better stunts, but this was sure delicious pleasure watching two people I admire so much,,, mess with each others hair like a Siamese cats. PURE JOY!

As I recall the rules state you have to tell your opponent if they destroyed a ship when they hit.
@@voodoominerman But you don't describe the TYPE of ship it is. You simply say "hit", it's up to the opponent to work that out. But then I guess it's fair seeing as they were both at it

Aw, as a college student that can't afford a car and seeing these lads are blowing cars up entertains but hurts me as well.
Surely these are cars you wouldn't want. Looks like the "ship cars" all capable of moving under their own power, but they're probably ready for scrapping.

@@Packle. Not familiar with them as we don't have them in the US. Though my understanding is they are super slow and quirky, not highway capable, sort of the typical pre-Tesla electric car. Perhaps a "neighborhood electric vehicle," basically a fully-enclosed golf cart.

@@decodolly1535 Good to know. On a similar note, I used to own a Prius. Was actually a fairly decent, albeit excruciatingly boring, car, until it snowed at which point I was probably better off with my bicycle. Not really exaggerating there. Ex-girlfriend had similar experiences carpooling. Sold it and went back to my classic Beetle - hence Jeremy would still hate my car choices.
