- Having a bullet stuck in your barrel is a very dangerous situation. This is called a "squib" and is most likely to happen in reloaded ammunition due to not having enough (or any) powder in the cartridge.

I used a fiberglass pole that was 5 foot long and a bit smaller diameter than the 9mm. Put the pole behind the shortest travel for the bullet, and tapped the pole on the floor a few times popped right out. Worked great the 3 different times I have cleared my and other people obstructions.
Good job 👍🏼 but a lot of work, i just took an old chop stick i found in the car put a spent .22 case on it and bashed the squib out .
It was a 38special in Ruger GP100 , and carried on shooting
There is absolutely no need to do all that work in making a brass driver. Simply cut the rod to the appropriate length, deburr and then go to tapping or pounding the bullet out. Oh, and yes, I am a machinist with 40 years experience as well as being a hobbyist gunsmith.
And why couldn't he just put the base of the barrel in his soft-grip vice?
Literally just happend to me at the range like 10 mins ago all that happend was a puff of smoke that's all so I took the mag out ejected the casing and had to take my cleaning rod an had to push it out I'm glad I knew what to do I instantly unloaded an took the gun apart to take the barell out to check for a lodged round sure enough just the bullet was stuck in the barrell cleaned the barrell and shot fine no problem after that not bad tho 3000 rounds an only had this happen an only once so I'm sure it tends to happen eventually
That is just too much work they're a more simpler way of doing that wrap some tape around the extension rod so that it fits tight into the barrel put some tape on the bottle just tap it out done
What if you shoot a blank to expel the bullet?

@@henryofskalitz2228Not really, you did read that it was stated to use a blank round, meaning no projectile. Personally, I've done that on a 9mm using just a primed case.
@@g2rich yes I did and there's a chance to cause your barrel to exploded in a way it eatger bursts or banana peels
Soo i have a 45 bullet stuck in my barrel, what size rod would fit that???
Y not tap it out backwards? Mine popped right out instead of pushing it through.
It all depends on the position of the bullet in the barrel. You would be surprised on far down a barrel just a primer and no powder (squib load) can force a bullet and a lot depends on if it is a jacketed bullet or plain led.
Could this happen due to a polished/ sanded feed ramp/chamber tho?

Lmao I literally got mine out still at the range with my cleaning rod I pushed the open end of the rod it jammed into bullet head an popped out
