Really enjoyed this Cory. Oh that I had stuck with piano... I'm back at it at 60 but at an early beginner level. Thank you for all your great content - something here for folks of any age at any level.
Being that "Ragged Time" was based upon the American Souza Marches, I would say that this is exceptional, Doc! It is my favourite piece of the genre as well. Play on!
Such a great rendition. This is the tempo i like to play it. I've just got Terry Waldo's book, which recommends 120 for crotchet, but the audio to me just sounds garbled. Trying to work out what metronome speed you're playing it here.
Your playing style has really grown on me. I was not a huge fan initially, if I'm to be entirely honest, but I've come to appreciate your perspective on tempo and your maturation as a performer (which I know you would no longer consider yourself in the strictest sense, but rather a scholar and a pedagogue). As a pianist of over thirty years myself, and having intimate first-hand knowledge of the Eastman School and the kinds of people they accept and produce, I have no doubt in my mind about your (truly virtuosic) Appassionata recording. I too am aging (although I'm only 37), and I already am beginning to understand the limitations of the human frame. I'm no Horowitz. I'm glad you acknowledged the nay-sayers, but do so no more. You have nothing to prove. Keep producing quality scholarship and the videos to back it up. I'm implementing your theories in my playing of Bach. Thank you for all that you do. You've given me something to aspire toward.
Always impresses me how relaxed your hands are when playing this. I'm a bit more tense when I play it for sure.
Thank you for this rich gift.
I'm always up for a performance of the Maple Leaf Rag!! 😀😀👍👍
I love it. There are others playing "Maple Leaf Rag" out there, and some with embellishments, or "off tempo". This one is done right. Awesome!
動画を取り直してくれたんですね!!
Cory Hallさんのメイプルリーフラグが好きです。これからも頑張ってください!
You look so different now; I didn't recognize you at first without the hair and beard, lol! Anyways, I really enjoy your renditions.

I am visiting your channel after a long time. Shocked to see the beard and ponytail gone.
They've been gone for like three years now. I figured I am getting too old for the hippie look now.
Enjoyed this a lot. Maybe in 40 years I can play it that precise like you ;D
Piano: I love u! :3
this is funny to play
This is the way it should be played--not like the older version.
Bello, pareciera facil al verlo tocar jajajaja, pero sabemos que no es asi...
do you know any Goldbergs?
Hahaha ik herkende hem niet eens zonder baard en lange staart..... Alleen aan de techniek van spelen.
Exact dit! Ik dacht echt dat het iemand anders was
