You are one of the only people I have seen using a torque wrench correctly on RUclips . Although I do have a habit myself of double clicking. I worked for a major commercial truck dealership for years and in one of the engine classes I went to over those years we had a torquing section with very expensive fancy machines set up to measure both torque and clamping force of a torque wrench. It showed how the torque (a twisting motion as we all know)May not change that much, the clamping force exponentially changes almost 3x. This was a specific part of the class geared toward rod bolts being over torqued.
Can’t wait to see it run. I don’t know how many trade secrets you’re willing to give away, but a video on rear end twist/body roll would be interesting. Knowing SEGA isn’t allowed anti roll bars, I built a nova to their rules and every launch video of my car it separates the fender and tire hard on driver side and compresses on pass side. Have tried a range of spring rates from 150-300 and good shocks. Seems like the body/rear end torque twist is uncontrollable on these cars with long ladder bars.
I had this same problem when I adjusted my 4 link to 61" IC. The car twisted up like a 70s pro stocker! Shock adj took most of it out but I went back to previous 42" ICL
@@tomhanson4153 that’s similar to my problem, I have 56” ladder bars and I think there’s too much flex in the whole system. I have good Viking double adjustable shocks but they can only do so much, I’m considering staggering spring rates on coil springs
