Clutch or no clutch! That is the question. Gasser 4 speed racing….
Days like we have had recently will help you decide about air conditioning.
Looking good brother
Pulling a distributor out and putting it back in differently does not change rotor phasing, it only changes when the distributor fires in relation to engine rotation...If you don't have an adjustable rotor, an adjustable cap, an adjustable breaker plate/reluctor, or a crank trigger you are only chasing your own tail by putting the distributor shaft on a different tooth. Putting the distributor in differently, adjusting the distributor body, taking the distributor out and turning the crank, These 3 things are all the same!
You made some mistakes, allow me to point out that you said if there is total advance of 40 degrees then the rotor is almost pointing at the next plug wire (on a v8) when the distributor fires, thats not how a distributor works. The ONLY thing that changes rotor phasing is vacuum advance, unless you have a crank trigger, an adjustable rotor, an adjustable cap, or an adjustable breaker plate/reluctor even then phasing only changes while driving when the vacuum advance moves the plate.
Nice work
Love the boggie hauler!!
Great job Chris. I honk my horn every time I go by the shop👍
Happy Birthday Dunn!

Happy birthday from nz 🎉

Happy Birthday!
Run isolated ground wire to any and all high amp draw accessories in a dc circuit 😊
Good luck bro.
Just come across your channel... loving the content... If you answer questions from this far back, do you guys ever run a 4 bar set up on the front with a panhard bar? Or is there some plain reason the leaf springs are the only way to go?
I think the front 4 link works good. For me it's just a looks thing. I like the way springs look.
Excellent, Grateful to boogieman for rebuilding the Moonlighter to preserve it's history and in memorial to Gene. God Bless.
Been 3 months. Update? 😊
We going to install drive shafts and crank it 4th of July week. So stay tuned.
We have a update video dropping this Wednesday at 6pm on the Boogie Hauler..
Glad to see Wayne there working with you
That's awesome,.
Oh snap !! Yea I do hate when that happens!
great video man thank you, im buildin a pump gas 421 waitng on my heads to get done then its dyno time, let ya know how i do good luck great job
thank you
Love this build! What are the tire size front and rear? You running a 7” wide front wheel? I have a 65’ Nova that I’d like to run the same size wheel and tire as you are.
Front are 7x17 and the rear 11x17. American racing Salt Flat.

I can hear that 4k torque kicking in Ahahaha The right sound 😊
Boom !
Dyno Sheet ??
Haven't you been watch since the millennials and their seedlings was their opinions only declare exactly which motors are good and bad that all of them have self-proclaimed that they don't need any readouts anymore as they know more than God
There is a video on this channel showing the pulls and what it makes.
People can argue which engine and manufacturer is best. But one thing that can’t be argued is that the small block Chevy offers the most bang for the buck. Ford and Chrysler products and parts are both significantly more expensive than GM.
Wow a lot for hot air from you as you will never prove a word without the dyno read out in numbers ., without the dyno numbers you can not verify a single word you claim
That’s rev it !! Ya mon
She high reaving fa sho
Did you ever mention what compression ratio you had?
15 to 1
Nothing like a chevy engine doing its thing
NICE!!!!!!!!
Awesome. I can feel the power!
Does the crank trigger lockout the distributor and make it to where it doesn’t advance? How exactly does that work with initial timing of say 12 degrees?
Yes it will be locked out. You got to find the timing it likes.
@@boogietech even for initial startup? How well would a crank trigger work for daily driving?
@@morganpowell2999 I’m not sure. I’m fitting to put one on my street rod. I will let you know.
Wow, the engine you talked about just left me mind blowing
Out of curiosity what did you change the valve lash too what was it at and what did you reduce or increase the valve last to
We went from .018 intake to .022. And .020 to .024 exhaust.
It never gets old lol
Welp after seeing 500hp from a 327 anything is possible 👍🏽
Wow, 421 and 8k reliable? Thats impressive. Can only imagine how much cam timing you have. THose heads are killer.
To get the advantages of the Q16, the engine needs to be built around it.
it holds its torque up really well.
