23 years ago I left the cam thrust plate bolts loose on a big inch SBF. Since then I take a paint marker to the head of every bolt that I torque down. If it ain't painted....it ain't tight. It does happen, and it's how we decrease the likeliness of a second time that brings good results.
Hey bro if i'm not mistaken don't you have head bolts under the Rocker stands But I have found that when I'm not 100% focused I get out a head of myself ..and that's how Bolts get left un done.
Excellent video. That could have been so much worse than it was..Nobody's perfect and shit happens...glad there wasn't anymore damage..even though any damage sucks. Thank you for your time. Keep on racing!
A little surprised to see you using the TR1 Tunnel Ram on a modern all out race engine instead of a more improved better technology TR, is this for a nostalgia car??

Love the channel. I'm dropping my 421 in my S10 on my channel now. It's a little more mild, AFR 227's and small solid roller. I've seen your car before, you in NC or SC?
Stand on the back of engine stand while torquing and the stand will stay put. Makes things much easier

Integrity is a great character trait
23 degree?why the intake spacer???look like 18 degrees.. especially with the Stahl header bolt pattern
Admitting you screwed up says alot about who you are. We all screw up
Keep us informed! Sorry to see ya go thru this and hope the valves are ok!
At one time or another, it happens to us all.
Hey I tag a note to the part I stop at to remember what I have to do, or I will forget.
Wow those exhaust ports are huge for 23* degree heads
hmm... 421 is big enough to peek at 18 degree heads without getting too wild..
I would be more worried about values being bent than hurting the piston.

Wow where in the world did you find that box ram I had one 25 + years ago on my 427.
