    Great information.Thank you.I am distributing with Tunecore but after an year creating music and distributing with them I have almost zero results .It is not about money,but having streams means your music has been heard,something I dont have with them.I do confess I am not very good with promoting myself.I am an artist,not manager.All these playlists adds I see from time to time seems not easy to trust...So your video was helpful indeed.Thanks I will have to think about what to do with my next song which expect to be ready in about week may be.Somehow dont trust Tunecore will bring me some good luck.I wish you from my heart good luck and may the music be with you!

    So basically there are gate keepers keeping broke artist off of iTunes, spotify and amazon?

    • @freshlysunlit
      @freshlysunlit  29 дней назад

      Pretty much. Basically all the stores (iTunes, Spotify, amazon) outsource the actual uploading of music to their platforms to third party companies, some of which are kinda shady. But there are more and more free options popping up, so that's good.

    I'm currently on music gateway and had nothing but delays and none of my music on any music platforms . I'm just very frustrated right because they have my money each month but none of my music is not on a music platform. Bandcamp has the worst reviews , I know, I looked it up.

    Hey, I am kinda hopeless, so I gotta ask even here... Do you have any idea where to contact SoundCloud repost to get my old music deleted? I can't find it anywhere.

    • @freshlysunlit
      @freshlysunlit  2 года назад

      When you uploaded it you entered into a 1 year contract, you have to email them at support@repostnetwork.com within at least 60 days from the contract renewal date and request your music to be deleted. You can also just cancel your subscription and all your music will be deleted.

    • @freshlysunlit
      @freshlysunlit  2 года назад +1

      My initial impression is positive. Seem like a decent company offering competitive services. They're a new kid on the block so there aren't any reviews so there's a bit of a risk with using them since they're unproven. Also they're based in Georgia (the country) so have to note that for tech support.

    • @freshlysunlit

      @freshlysunlit  2 года назад +2

      @@silveramateur571 Yes, I'm currently still using them. I also have an album on CD Baby, and I'm considering migrating my all my releases to CD Baby. They have no annual fees so it's more expensive upfront, but cheaper in the long term.

    • @freshlysunlit
      @freshlysunlit  2 года назад +3

      @@silveramateur571 Yeah, the annual fees are annoying. One thing to note about Repost by SoundCloud is you enter into a 1 year contact with each release where you can't move your music to another distributor, and you have to notify them at least 60 days before the end of that contract to terminate it and make your music available to migrate to another platform.

      @brysonmercury 2 года назад +1

      @@freshlysunlit They also have a paid plan around 20 something $ a year with even more and better features than the free option + faster release times. I was about to switch to Repost by SoundCloud but after the PewDiePie incident it does not seem very trustworthy anymore 😅

    • @freshlysunlit
      @freshlysunlit  2 года назад +1

      @@brysonmercuryYeah, that incident made me question them as well. The Amuse premium plan does look pretty nice. Doesn't hurt to give em a try! Always good to find the Terms of Service and what kind of contract your entering into first. Like with Repost by Soundcloud I found out it's a year contract with every release so you can't even change distributors unless you notify them to not renew your contract.
