For sure! There's definitly a peace of mind knowing that your release won't be taken down because you forgot to update your credit card on file or something. One-time fee for distribution makes a lot of sense to me.

So lyrics on Spotify are actually licensed and synced by Musixmatch, so you have to make an account with them to add lyrics on Spotify. How do I delete my artist profile and the songs I released on streaming platforms? I contacted spotify and they said I had to contact soundcloud. I contacted soundcloud and they only replied with how to delete my soundcloud, not how to remove my entire artist profile or songs on all streaming platforms.
If you released your music through SoundCloud for artists you have to contact them to take down the music. SoundCloud is annoying firstly because they don't let their users do this manually, and secondly, because SoundCloud and SoundCloud for Artists are the same, but also separate, so it's difficult to find answers for problems like this. Try emailing support@soundcloud.com and specify that you want to take down your releases on Spotify for Artists.

Hello! Thanks for the useful video. Please tell me where you found the information that track releases on various global music platforms will be deleted if my subscription to Next Plus or Next Pro ends? I asked support about this and they said not to worry about it. Perhaps you have a link to information on this topic. I would be very grateful for that! And how to choose distribution company if reading coments about different distribution services on Tristpilot is very controversial. Only Tunecore has 4 stars and great reviews. What can you say about it and about Tunecore experience
What if I uploaded a song through soundcloud distrubution but want to move to distrokid without losing streams is that possible? Will they still take 20% aswell even if I switch
After you upload it to Distrokid, it will be removed from SoundCloud distribution and your contract with them should be voided so they won't take 20% of your royalties anymore. do you know why they got rid of next plus? now there is only "free" and "next pro" which is 125 CAD :( so ridiculous, I just want to get paid for soundcloud plays 😢
I have no idea why they got rid of Next Plus. it was the tier that I was subscribed to, so now they downgraded me to the free one and I don't really want to pay extra for Next Pro so I might just move to another distribution platform.

I think all distribution platforms will collect royalties, they each take different cuts of it. For a free music distributor you could check out Route Note, there's a few more that are free as well. Generally they just take bigger cuts of royalties or they have limitations.
I just joined became a next pro member like two months ago, and have close to 50,000 plays and my tracks say they are monetizing but I haven't earned anything is that normal? I figured it would say ive earned something by now.

Hey, having trouble and understanding how this process works I have my song approved now. Do I have to wait for the partners to distribute because I keep checking Apple and I don’t see my track up. Do they eventually put it up after waiting for a while or do I have to apply?
Howdy, yeah it normally takes a week or 2, sometimes more. Even if you put the released date as tomorrow, it won't show up for awhile.
@@freshlysunlit whew good to know , I didn’t know the time frame but now that I do it’s easier to be patient
i cant see my spotify releases on soundcloud artist. my account connected. my distubitor changed by label 2 years ago. why?
Are you the one who distributed the release to Spotify, or did your label do it? Either way you can view your Spotify release on Spotify for Artists
@@freshlysunlit label did it. i can see on spotify f artist
Thanks for the video! Do you know if SoundCloud for Artists licenses cover songs?
They don't unfortunately.
Distributing singles is calm but how tf do you distribute albums/EP????
_Will my music be taken off the platform (Spotify for example) if my subscription ends?_
Here's more information about it: support.distrokid.com/hc/en-us/articles/360013648133-I-m-Switching-from-a-Different-Distribution-Company-to-DistroKid-What-s-the-Process-
My spotify account isnt showing up to distribute to it. Its been months and I need help!!
Did you go to artists.spotify.com and claim your artist profile?
@@freshlysunlit it comes up with “what profile are you claiming?” And i cant see my name when i put the url or username
hi if you distribute with them, do they play it in streams or something? or is it just a place where people can buy it??
You can choose where it's distributed, like Spotify, Apple Music, etc. You can also have it sent to places like iTunes and Amazon Music where people can purchase it.
@@freshlysunlit I choosed distributing with SoundCloud for Artists, but still I don't see my track on other music platforms, only on SoundCloud :((( How much longer do we have to wait? When are they gonna upload my song to the rest of the music platforms ?? :(((
Any tips on how to delete release ?
You gotta contact support to take down a release. Here's their page: help.soundcloud.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
Is distribution to Beatport still possible? What happens to distributed songs when teh subscription get canceled?
They don't currently offer distribution to Beatport. Songs will be taken down when subscription is canceled unless you transfer them to another distributor.
@@freshlysunlit how do you transfer how much does that cost
@@77sincere94 It'll cost however much the new distributor's cost is, whether it's a monthly or one time cost. I think all music distributors will transfer your songs at no additional cost.
@@freshlysunlit appreciate it
@@freshlysunlit also can you please show us how to license our music
Hey man, thanks for this vid, I signed up for Next Pro and I'm wondering what happen if you want to distribute an Album, and not just a single song. Do you know if you have to upload one by one and then maybe connecting them? I've no idea. Thanks in advance!
Hey! Thanks for watching! For an album you select the multiple track files and it automatically compiles it into an album. I made a video about this back when it was called Repost by SoundCloud, but the method is still the same! ruclips.net/video/SttTgIZWvwM/видео.html
A la obra
do you know why they got rid of next plus? now there is only "free" and "next pro" which is 125 CAD :( so ridiculous, I just want to get paid for soundcloud plays 😢
I have no idea why they got rid of Next Plus. it was the tier that I was subscribed to, so now they downgraded me to the free one and I don't really want to pay extra for Next Pro so I might just move to another distribution platform.
bruh already bought next pro before watching this yesterday i having little regrets if this doesnt works out for me. i just wanted to monetize my tracks there cause my tracks always reach 1 to 3k streams and i thought i would be waste if i cant monetized them also just a question how does it take for a track to get monetized for the first time? and also are remixes are possible to be monetized also?
Hey. Can i distribute my music to spotify without soundcloud monetization or getting paid? Just to promote my music.
I think all distribution platforms will collect royalties, they each take different cuts of it. For a free music distributor you could check out Route Note, there's a few more that are free as well. Generally they just take bigger cuts of royalties or they have limitations.
On SoundCloud for Artists specifically, yes you can upload to Spotify but not SoundCloud through their platform.
I just joined became a next pro member like two months ago, and have close to 50,000 plays and my tracks say they are monetizing but I haven't earned anything is that normal? I figured it would say ive earned something by now.
theres a 3 month delay between payments. So you wont get paid for your streams in March until 3 months later in June. Hope that helps
Did you finally get paid? Hopefully you did.
@@Makgame I did 🤙
you made me a bit confused. i just made soundcloud for artist and i put a song that i've put on spotify as well. is not allowed?
You can put songs that are already on Spotify on SoundCloud as well! You just can't add songs to Spotify that have already been added to Spotify through DistroKid or other distribution platforms.
It’s not fixed, my original track got hit with a copyright by RN. Annoying af
can you help me please , my monetization is stoped
They increased the payout threshold to $25, so it's going to take longer before seeing any money from royalties
So you can’t upgrade unless you’re on pc?
It might work on a mobile browser
Hey! I really liked your video and I really enjoyed it! I was wondering if you could help me to get my Spotify url link because I would like to release on Spotify by cant find how
Have you already submitted your song to Spotify though a music distribution platform?
@@freshlysunlit Yes! With SoundCloud next plus! And it has been already a few days it has been out
I couldn’t link it to my Spotify though, since I don’t have Spotify for artist yet!
@@traxfr3279 Gotcha. Sometimes it takes little longer to go live on Spotify. Once it's live you can go to artists.spotify.com/ you can claim your Spotify profile
Yo sup. I distribute my music via soundcloud next pro. How do I claim my Spotify Artis Account? My request over the spotify for artist page gets rejected every time. They want a page with my email and my name. Both is in my soundcloud, wich i link every time. Pls help
Do your songs get featured in playlists more often when you have Next Pro?
Maybe SoundCloud playlists, but I'm not sure
@@freshlysunlit how can one be sure about this? Where should I look?
@@amanshaikh-kp1vw It doesn't mention anything about it on their features page: checkout.soundcloud.com/artist
Who can help me please. I choosed distributing my track through the SoundCloud for Artists, but still I doesn't see my track on Music Platforms! I texted to support, but they still silent! When SoundCloud will upload my tracks on all music platforms which they promise?? I started distributing the track on April 4, today is the 10th, so it's been 6 days. They don't answer me in support. How long to wait can anyone tell me!!!? Thanks!!!
I think it takes a while probably 3-4 Weeks because it gets sent to for example Spotify and they have to manage the rest
@@prod.akiyama Distrokid uploaded for 2 days!! SoundCloud sucks
how the hell do I make a license for a beat I'm trying to distribute to Spotify? I made these LoFi beats on FL Studio.
If you made the beat then you technically own the license and don't need to provide proof beyond uploading the beat
When distributing through Soundcloud, will they allow you to upload a different master for each platform?
Pretty sure they don't allow that
@@freshlysunlit That doesn't make sense. I guess it does require more server storage, at least in the short term. However, it's never a good idea to have a one-size-fits-all master.
I love soundcloud
in August 2024 the service ist just a nightmare - monetizing song I am holding all rights ist just impossible - Verifying emails does not work (link within the confirmation email already exspired) - support is non exsistent - the help center is almost useless when it comes to non-standard problems - and even the chat bot gave up and is not responding anymore -
I don't think SC is very trustworthy at all - I prefer a professional distributor like DB or RJ - this is just "Kids wanna play with the big boys" - so sad - SC has seen better days
Their support is nonexistent
I only reached out to them once a few years ago, and they were decent, but sounds like they're going down hill.
I choosed distributing with SoundCloud for Artists, but still I don't see my track on other music platforms, only on SoundCloud :((( How much longer do we have to wait? When are they gonna upload my song to the rest of the music platforms ?? :(((
you keep 80% of royalties :)) why not 100% with tunecore ?
Yeah, tunecore is definitely better in that regard
@@freshlysunlit are you sarcasm me ? I joined since 2021 but now I can not find any source say that soundcloud said they take 20%, I can only see that they pay through fan powered royalties model. so maybe you are getting more royalties now.
Soundcloud takes 20% of royalties for distributions to stores like Spotify, Apple Music, etc, but for the plays on SoundCloud itself it does fan powered royalties. So Distrokid, Tunecore, and others are better if you want to keep all your royalties@@osamabinladen2075
Don't you love it when you have to pay a company for the privilege of making them money of your work?
It's a delight.
terrible, expensive, can't turn of 2fa authentication, can't take down your own songs, ridiculous, i will NEVER come back to soundcloud for artists
To anyone watching this, please don't trust what this guy says. Soundcloud for Artists is a SCAM, and is definitely NOT for artists. They take forever to review your release and when they finally do, they reject it for a BS reason. Sometimes they don't even review your release, they just ignore it and ignore your emails. NEVER spend any money on soundcloud
Thats cap I use them they review my song in a day and they don’t scam
yeah ngl you’re probably just using youtube beats, copyrighted samples or stuff like that cus ive only had problems when using stuff like that…
@@traumlucke6669 nah I understand reasons like that but for example I would upload a perfectly good cover art and it would say that it's blurry. And sometimes it would say some bs like "please credit everyone represented on the cover art". They also have no customer support if you run into problems
@@Unknown99119so do you use SoundCloud for distribution? Any experience for sharing? I’m considering about that I’m already the next pro user
You just don’t know what you doing
very bad tutorial tbh
Yeah.. Kinda more of an overview
man you talk waaaayyyy too fast, slow down sweetie
Souncloud for Artist is the worse distributor, really bad, they will delete all your releases without advice and stole your royalties
I've made around 57 dollar on royalty in SoundCloud for artist though it was released by the label chillhopguru and they shared the royalty with me I've added my PayPal amd tax documents for royalty withdrawal but on the payout section i don't see any withdrawal button any clue why?? Or how can I withdraw my royalty
Payouts are 2 months delayed, so that could by why. They automatically pay after you have $5 or more in royalties. Also, if there were any tracks with uncleared samples or copyrighted material of any kind they'll withhold royalties.
Thank you so much. Ohh I didnt know that it got automatic pay system. Added the payment method few days ago
Yeah, after 2 months they should start regular monthly deposits if the royalties are over $5. If they don't, definitly contact support@@azalsupport6612

@@freshlysunlit really???? They also remove our song from all platform if we not renew?😨
