The difference is the rules. My issue with this league is their is no back pressure to start, so flash pins are king. That is why Pushkar was so dominant. It wasn't really about strength, but moreso pure speed. That is a major advantage to younger guys. Starting in a stable but tight pressured set up is much better and more of a show of who is the stronger/smarter arm wrestler.
1:55 For some reason watching the transition to a posting-style top roll here is satisfying to watch. Even the way John's expression changes. I imagine he was thinking; "my index finger and thumb are going to come towards me no matter what."
Ummmm. So johns negative character defects were the reason that he isnt recognized as hands down thee 🐐 because he didnt dominate for literally multiple decades? Good to know.
@@strongarmproduction1675 My question was a rhetorical question man. The reason why you do it is obvious. My point was its unnecessary since it's fake. Just give us the real thing. Not an alteration of looks. Just a hint for you.
What you are saying is true, but European starts are a terrible armwrestling style. Flash pins don't really prove anything. Pushkar was great at it, but what happened when he faced Larratt with a little bit of back-pressure? Ah...the real technique comes out. So yes, its a different style for John, but there's still no debating that he was the better armwrestler here.
Think about the age difference, between the two. It just shows the how amazing John Brzenk remains, the acclaimed GOAT. Resiliency and longevity in spades. He has been arm wrestling since 1984 that is over 25 years.
Every time I see this match, I get a little frustrated. Vasili gassed out John on round 3 with that absurd elbow foul. Ref didn't call it. But, John could have also let off carefully. I respect Vasili for being pretty strong and prepared, but I can't consider this as a good and fair match.
If anything john shouldn't have gotten those two wins, you're right the match was unfair , for Vasily. Brzenk used his experience to cheat like a bum in the grip as well as bullied the refree with his status, they didn't show it in the video. Nevertheless he got flashpinned 4 times like a b*tch lmao.
Love around the 2 min mark when vasili tried to bail off the back of the pad n a losing position and John was strong enough to hold him on the pad shaking his head, not today son!
Sorry but this is completely false. John was very weak in this tournament. John had shoulder surgery in 2011 and this was his first tournament/event after surgery. He did not expect to win. He talks about this in the following interview: ruclips.net/video/i1Ro3skyptY/видео.html
@@sunnydee7745 Sorry, I probably misinterpreted what you wrote. I see what you mean now. Yeah, John was big in 2014. However, I Think it is obvious that he never regained the inside/hook strenght he had prior to his surgery.
Georgians are naturally strong people. Today, the best is Levan Saginashvili, who defeated Larratt without giving him a chance. In weightlifting, 10-15 years ago, they had no support or opportunities to train professionally. Even Vasil trained with self-made equipment, and what he has achieved is a great result. When you're working for $250 a month, it's hard to stay motivated in a sport that doesn't bring financial support. Vasil could have achieved even more, but as I mentioned, 10-15 years ago, there was almost no money in this sport in Georgia.
Bravo Dautashvili. He was great. And who tells that Brzenk could win Levan Saginashvili if Levan was at that time? Are u kidding? Levan is the Best Ever. Not Dennis and not Brzenk could do something with Levan . And bravo Dautashvili. You were so good.
Vasili just lost easily to Krasimir in this same event. John was weaker/not good shape that time. Vasili is world class, but nowhere near top in the world that time.
John had some great matches and wins in the 2010's, but it's really all just gravy after 2009. Just adding to his unbelievable arm wrestling resume that he has
Todos quieren competir con john, todos quieren ganarle john y eso es lo que te deja claro que el padre de este deporte es el, ninguna victoria le dejó mas satisfacción a vasili que la que tuvo vs john

To state this correctly John always had problems with early starts that weren't called by the ref. The one he did was called though.
