    It's funny, he's a god in his sport but doesn't make anything doing it. Jordan has a statue. I'm sure Ali does. Will Brzenk have his? Or at least an armwrestling event named after him one day. The Brzenk Classic maybe. He's bigger in eastern Europe and Russia than he is here. I can just picture a statue of the guy next to the Kremlin lol.

      It all seriously depends if the up and coming can plant seeds everywhere to make arm wrestling get bigger. The bigger it gets, the more John will get his notoriety on a bigger spectrum

      Yeah I’ve looked up John’s net worth and it says he’s worth $5m! Not sure what his airplane mechanic job pays but it seems like he’s made a lot from arm wrestling? Could be wrong

      @@ryanforsythe8923 A lot of other country's governments made armwrestling a nationally sponsored event that was supported and recognized by the government. In North America it's always been comparably underground. As such arm wrestling in lots of places in nothern and central Europe is just a more commonly known and accepted sport, where in America being a 'professional armwrestler' is extremely unorthodox. So by percentages less people in America are going to know about and hold professional armwrestling in high regard.

    2009 was a great year for the GOAT. Won his category (95kg) with both hands and won the open weight class with the right. Furthermore, as this video shows, we had the chance to see him compete with another great; Babayev, who, in this tournament, also won his category (85kg) with both hands and was in his prime.

    I know John is good, but I feel that Babayev don't get the respect that he deserved, don't forget that he is a middlewheight and John is a heavywheight, that says it all.
    But I don't know why Babayev didn't put John in a toproll, I mean in a hook is really hard to pin John, and Babayev didn't have that endurance like Devon for example...
    If he had endurance, he will beat John, Rustam is clearly much more explosive and much more powerful of the go than John, but he lacks endurance.

      @roarodon 7 лет назад
