    Hi! Love your videos! When making a Canva template to sell on Etsy you talked about how you can’t use the Pro elements because then the Etsy purchaser would have to pay on Canva to use those elements. I’m wondering if you can use the Pro features to make the template and sell on Etsy or do you have to totally have to just use non-Pro features if you are going to be selling the templates on Etsy? For example, I’m interested in making pregnancy announcement templates on Canva to sell on Etsy, but there really aren’t many options editing-wise and element-wise on Canva. Like when you look up digital pregnancy announcement template on Etsy you see these beautiful announcements that were made with Canva, how do these creators make these announcements using only free Canva features and elements? Do they just get images online somewhere and upload them to Canva?

    • @DinaLu
      @DinaLu  2 месяца назад

      Hey Faith! Of course you CAN use Pro elements but I'd make it really clear in your marketing that the customer will need a Pro Canva subscription or that they need to pay for the Pro elements separately. I recommend using free elements only because I myself don't want my customer to pay extra for a Pro subscription.
      I believe on Canva you can upload your own vector file for graphics and such, so I'm guessing some people just make it themselves and then upload it. They could also be purchasing graphics/images somewhere else that allows them to commercially use them in that way.

    Hi, Dina! Thanks always for your interesring video❤
    I have question. You said at the early part of video that you didn't use any pro element so the customer won't have hard time. What if I use pro element which in your case let say to make the template, I download it first into jpeg. Then make new design with the jpeg so I make sure that the customer would only change the text part, that should be okay, right?

    • @DinaLu
      @DinaLu  10 месяцев назад

      That sounds interesting... but it's hard for me to answer without more context on what the product is. Not sure what the best thing to do is.

    Hey Dina, random question. I have started my resume store on Etsy but as far as I've researched, all of the top sellers are selling extra icon packs along with their templates. But I'm not sure in what kind of file format they're selling. Like in word, or in canva. Do you have any idea about this?

    • @DinaLu
      @DinaLu  2 месяца назад

      Hey Theresa! Congrats on starting your etsy shop! Unfortunately I'm not sure. But what you can do is purchase someone else's product and see what they do, and then you can do something similar by yourself.

    When the customer clicks the link to access the template, does it take them to your template on Canva? Or how does that part work? Is it a link that takes them to the document in Canva that they can now edit?

    • @DinaLu
      @DinaLu  28 дней назад +1

      When you give the customer the link, make sure you're giving the TEMPLATE LINK and not the actual shared link. If you give them the share link, they'll be able to edit your original design. You need to give them the template link so they can make a copy of it and it won't make changes to your original one.

      @@DinaLu they look perfect on Canva, but when I download them on my computer before posting it on Etsy, some are good and others look just a little bit blurry. And on Etsy, they all look just a little bit blurry.
      Because I sell website templates and social media bundles, I take screenshots of the website home page for example to feature it in my listing pictures so it's already a little blurry because of the screenshot's low quality. But Idk what I can do to make the rest better.

    Hi Dina, great info! I do have a question for you about the Canva 'Link". If you created your content on a 'Canva Pro' account; Do the downloadable links still work with a free Canva account?

    • @DinaLu
      @DinaLu  Год назад +1

      When I create templates, I never put Pro elements into the customer templates. So the customer doesn't need to pay for Pro But I do use Pro PHOTOS when I create the DEMO template for the listing photos (I will delete the photos out of the CUSTOMER'S TEMPLATE). Hope that makes sense.
