Scotty, great video! I been meaning to message and see how you were, but then we got the hurricane/flood. Jody, thankfully, didn't receive any damage at the new shop location. So many weren't lucky. I also agree 💯 about getting sick and building our immune system. Enjoy, fly like a free bird.
Scotty. Good that you got over the sickness. Like you said, it happens. Mother Nature absolutely takes apart all. Works on it 24/7. Birds peck away at roof lookin for bugs. Vegetation gets into the cracks. Water infiltrates and that’s it. Good video, ride safe.

The house I grew up in was built by my father in the mid to late 40s. The house sat on 4 courses of concrete blocks so about 24 inches off the ground but there was a lot of moisture in the ground, this was before the days of water and vapor barriers. The floor joists would rot in about 10 or 12 years, we would have to jack up the beams and replace joists and seals. All due to ground moisture.
Real good Scotty , that abandoned house would make an ideal tree change location for someone retiring to the country and getting out of the city , just seems such a waste .
sad to old houses such as this. Imagine the dreams these people had while building it, the family they raised and I wonder what could have happened for them to just leave.

Glad you got over the bug. May sound crazy, but plants want carbon dioxide not oxygen. So maybe the lower oxygen level from decaying stuff inside attracts plant direction. Just a thought... God bless!
Glad you didn’t get caught in the North Carolina chaos it is terrible all them lives lost and I think it was deliberate because you know they could have prevented it by letting water out before the storm.
I always wondered about plants like that I've seen other videos where there's been abandoned homes and the vines and it's not just here in America. And I have done a few videos and abandoned homes same way I know maybe they like the air inside the home better lol

When it rained, the water ran off the concrete and under the door and puddled on the floor. Rain could get under that porch with some wind.

The floor collapsing can be from a wet crawlspace and it rots the wood over time. Possibly termites or both.
