- This is one clean Chevelle SS
Donovan big block making 1071hp, pulling the wheels and running 9s all day long. The engine is so clean you could eat off of it and the paint job is amazing. This really was an incredible car.

This is a freaking show car running 9s! life goals right here.
My favorite chevelle. 1970 SS. Unbelievable car and then runs 9.6 to make it PERFECT...
I love the old school cars, I'm restoring a '71 Trans Am and everybody keeps saying ' you should put in a LSX '....I'm sticking with the original 455.
Will Powers 455 is all you need - awesome engine.
Yeah Pontiacs need to stay Pontiac.
Eh for a time thats okay but the metalurgy of the time of manufacture is no where near todays and after a while itll breakdown in ways a modern engine wont
@@codyayo6158 then why are there so many gen 1 sbc's still driving around?
Cuz they dont put allot of hard miles on them, its old guys who baby them
now that's clean and simple. not all that electronic crap and wiring all over the place like spaghetti
Yeah man, everything should be like that... Too bad this Chevelle makes like 2 mpg
All that latest tech suspension and chassis work is OK though?
@the knife enthusiast bitch looks great old school
@the knife enthusiast bitch horse power is better than mpg get 4 cyl if you want mpg
over 1000hp and it only runs nines..
Love seeing old school beat up on new school 👍🏼
Same
Dude, that ss is no more old school, everything under a hood is new
raix aerodynamics and weight are on complete different worlds tho
This is why I like muscle cars, Chevelle's in particularly.
Corey Soze this is a sport car but chargers and challengers are muscle cars
spring taco lol. What?
Oh my bad u right it is a muscle I was being dumb 🤪
I have a 69 im building for the texas mile
My favorite year would be 66 ss
This has got to be the fastest chevelle i have seen in a while!!!
Woow, that Chevele's gear ratio must have been perfected for some time. Just seeing it launch with that graceful wheeling is giving me a rush! Must be an awesome feeling having accomplished that! 5/5!
Getting those wheels up brings a heavily modified smile to my face!
Holy smokes that is one badass Chevelle.. now that is what I like to see not just a trailer Queen but a nice restored clean muscle car ripping it up!!
I have a pretty stout 70 Chevelle SS but this thing is unreal. The way it hooks and goes to effortlessly straight is amazing
That thing is so clean ... Awesome!
Holy engine bay that is clean.
yeah so Uncomplicated.I guess you really don't need all the mess to make horsepower and go fast NOW!
mothertree You are 100% correct. But you still need the money to make it go that fast. This Chevelle is not cheap in stock form, especially the body in very good condition.
TheCamaro5 my favorite type of engine bay
Got one hell of a line launch & grip.
full interior, looks like stock suspension, heavy car running n/a, freaking awsome.
Very far from stock suspension, he even says its not running right on the suspension, I can see tubular front controls arms also, and moser rear axles, could be a 12 bolt still.
No one else said anything so I will, >>Those hood hindges are F*kin beautiful !!!
That car is so badass.
Beautiful Chevelle. I have a 66. Thanks for posting.
A 1970 Chevelle was my first car, and I'm the 1,970th like for this video, awesome!
U still have it?
@@1k_lance
No, I wish, everything in it was original, hub caps, radio, everything.
Beautiful. I’ve seen an 800 horse chevelle small block run 9’s
OLD SCHOOL BABY. Miss my 68’ something fierce.
I have a 68. Check my page. Going to be posting more. This car just blew my mind lol
A crazy WOW '71 Chevelle SS done right clean inside and out. AND, Street Legal OMGosh my Golly SWEET !!!.............
The No Replacement for Displacement Rule on Display here, no Rice burner I have ever seen could match This Muscle!
Paul Guzman my Honda lop
Lol boostedboiz would definitely walk him
The fastest quarter mile time was done by a Nissan
@@adameaby ??? Lol 😂
@Jordan Brendmoen I'm not talking about stock, production cars. It was a modified GTR that did the quarter mile in something like 5 seconds.
All motor, yeah that's the way. Great car!!!
What a gorgeous car!! If he was a lil quicker off the line, I could see 9.3 easy. Again beautiful car!!
old school rules!!
That thing went flying
I remember, about 25 years ago, this was considered fast. Those were the good days. The best days.
Watch the black dudes on the east coast they hate LS and turbos as much as I do lol all G body and cool shit out easy
That is one beautiful Chevelle! Great job :)
What a set up. Nice genius work there.
Nothing cooler than a 70 Chevelle...that’s why I own one. True American muscle.
I have a 68. Can’t go wrong with either year. Salute to you and your 70
Nice car, incredible performance.
Huge muscle car fan as well. Love seeing the classics destroy the newer garbage and so called super cars LOL . Even if i had the $$ i wouldn't buy any type of super car. Old school all the way !! My dad has had several over the years . One of my faves was his 68' Beaumont SD 396. Was Corvette orange with a white stripe down the side , pearl white leather interior , staple shifter , tach on the hood and rally wheels ...He let me drive it ONCE in Seattle to go pick up some girls one nite . What a fun car to drive .
There was 2 brothers in pearland used to own a chevelle just like that and it was bad ass like yours too . Awesome video!
Thats 👌. It sounds like he's just flashing the converter too. No transbrake or nothing
Nice clean set up . Wouldnt mind having that .
Clean and mean!! That Chevelle has got an attitude!! 👍👍
one of the nicer ones out there
Wow...that thing sounds tough!! that’s what you call a mean car right there!!
The sound of that engine....good lord.
When you can pull the front end up off the ground when launching at the starting line it must mean that the slicks are hooking up for maximum traction. Am I correct?
yes, but he has to throttle down to keep the front end down, so it’s a double edged sword. he most likely needs a wheelie bar
Now that’s kicking ass taking names
Certainly not designed to turn a corner with a whole lot of speed, but not that it matters because it goes really fast in a straight line and looks, sounds and feels cool while doing it.
10-25-2022 , does anyone know if this Chevelle is still around?
Beautiful Car, very clean and consistent and old school! Love it!
Super clean just a wow..fast too..
Runs well and kickin corvette ass
Damn clean and super fast! Nice car buddy!!
This car is fkiin awesome, stock interior, good clean. Beatiful outside. Monstrr inside. Like this one
Beautiful sound. I love the victor manifold. A very clean old school look without all the cheap add ons. I wonder was his stall converter rpm's are at the line?
+AndyFromBeaverton It's got a 5200 stall, close friend of mine
@@Daytona426x By the sound, I believe that. The car will obviously leave differently when just bringing it up to stall speed on the trans brake as opposed to bringing it up to a rev limiter setting. It seems to shock the tires in a different way.
Simply put, , REALLY BADASS
Now that's a car
Awesome Chevelle. Who built the engine. 1071 on Pump all motor?
Slo Velle Donovan motors
Loved seeing the Chevelle eat the 'Vette. Chevy man all the way, but it was still sweet.
Beautiful car
1000 N/A HP is badass!
jerry, was a race car driver, who drove so godamn fast!
tucko11 Never did win any checkered flags but he never did come in last.
Primus is the shittt.
VERY NICE! I love NA power. Respect to boosted and nitrous engines, but NA is cooler IMO.
And she sure can dance!!!
The only best car that chevy made since 1970 nor carl shelby, or dodge will keep up with Chevelle SS !! Beast
MUSCLE!!!!
People that why it's no substitution for Cubic Inches. 582 Rat motor whooping ass! No supercharger or Turbos needed like modern engines 😅😅😅😅
Brian Samuels new engines suck and supercars have always sucked and are over priced.
Yes sir brother. Cubic inches and built right. Street car on pump gas. Very impressive.
like modern engines? the Coyote, the Hemi, the LT1, the big 3 manufacturers are still making naturally aspirated engines. Big blocks arent a thing anymore cause of safety and environmental regulations, but those are the reasons cars are less fun nowadays anyway.
no replacement for displacement
Just what I was gonna say!
Loving it!! Rear suspension looked pretty stock, notched maybe? Any 4 linking the future? It does launch nice. I love that you kept it naturally aspirated. Nice Aluminum DonoBlock! Is it bottom skirted?
Seeing the old skool beat the new cool. Makes me smile
Sick build. Picking up another second wont be easy though.
+Jim Mills Agree'd - it'll handle a 500 shot easy though
+Malicious SRT yea that's more then a couple of sec shaved off would that be low 9 sec i think
Well, there's your second! lol
Man I remember when I was a kid riding with uncle in his 69 Chevelle SS. Man that thing fuckin ripped all over the place!!!
big red monster..love it
You guys deserve more subs
WOW love the car super clean&fast!I had 1970 SS 454 Chevelle mustard interior AM tape deck 8 track no FM???LOL!
SHIT yeah!! Sweet, fast and powerful 70 Chevelle
Damn I need a lot more hp to run like this. Full interior and all
1071 HP running 9.60s. Dodge Demon 870 HP running 9.60s If he can get to 9.40. It should be about right. Keep tuning!
REALLY MY SS WEIGHED 3500 LBS,,,,,,,,WITH ALL MOTOR ,,,IT AINT SCREAMING HE CAN RUN ALL DAY AT 9.50,,,IM IN !
70 Chevelle the King of all muscle cars.
Gorgeous and fast
Absolutely beautiful
Beautiful nice cars keep up the good work thumbs up
He left that plastic vette damn!
You know it's made of fibre glass. And a little bit of carbon fiber. The only plastic (from what i know) is on the inside.
@fuckface unstoppable yeah looking back at it that was stupid.
1970 chevelle looks like a Holden HQ Premier monaro ..especially the rear taillights ..theres a gang round here that has a red one with white stripes like the chevelle
gotta love them old school chevys
gotta appreciate how the littleLS vette ran with the behemoth
Stunning
Time to supercharge it! This baby is clean... Damn.
That exhaust probably killing 100 hp
Imagine taking your Grandma shopping in that !
The CheHELLe. Built to take down Dodge Demons
The Highway Star!
Beautiful beautiful beautiful
cool stuff!
HOLY CRAP! What a hookup!!
I couldn't tell but one of those cars there either the Corvette or the Chevelle had a stick shift in it
And appreciate the "to the point" video work! No WooHoo to ruin sound...
my dream set up exactly with only one difference
i have a 72 cutlass my goal is 10 sec daily drive pump gas street and strip
i have replaced the transmission new exhaust headers intake manifold and carb on the orignal 350 rocket. no internal upgrades yet i plan on 6-71 blowing it. also i have qa1 upper control arms
Nice i have a 1971 chevelle with 454 and before i got to use it, it's block cracked
All he needed was a base in plate ZEX system and he could easily see the 8:50 range...
I love this car
Beautiful Car. I'm Not Hating at all But wouldn't you think it would be a Little Quicker with Almost 1100 H.P. At the Crank ? Yes i did hear it's a Pump Gas Engine But my 460 in my 86 Mustang Going Low to Mid Nines on a 275/60 Drag Radial N/ A through a 1000 cfm 4150 Holley Carb. Never had on a Dyno but it Probably about 600 at the Wheels. On Pump Gas 10.6:1 Comp. Mild Build Out of the Box Trickflow 429-460 Street/Strip Heads, Mild Solid Roller and that's it. I'm sure I'm about 500 lbs. Less.
Probably closer to 1k pounds less
I'm in love!
I run a 1400 horsepower 69 SS drag Chevelle very beautiful Chevelle
Or you can come down to Australia were in a few hours somebody will have tuned it to go 7s
Damn that’s clean
That's what im talking about .👌💯🔥💨
