Seriously thinking about buying this one
Mine operates Bitwig 5 in no way even remotely close to what's shown here. The Keylab Essential 49 most certainly does not simply appear when I launch Bitwig. Perhaps there has been an update.
You have to set it up in controller settings lol.
I've switched from the older to the Keylab to the mk3. Quite a big improvement. But I discovered a minor bug though. In mixer mode, when I move the fader it changes the volume, and the encoder changes the pan as expected. But if I switch move the encoder immediately after moving the fader it wrongly changes the volume rather than the pan, after 1-2 secs if switches and starts controlling the pan. Seems likely there is a bug perhaps to do with infrequent polling. The switch between device/mixer mode doesn't show on the key lab itself, you have to look for the small triangles on the device/mixer which aren't that easy to see.

But the sustain and mod wheel on the Keylab Essential Mk3 doesn't work in Bitwig. It works in Live and standalone. So the controller itself isn't the issue. The sustain pedal connected to the Minilab Mk2 and the modwheel work in Bitwig
How do I change Tracks in bitwig during a Live performance using the mk3 essential?
I’m confused by the part button. It’s seems to toggle knobs between pages 1 and 2. But also go through additional pages. How could this work? It would toggle bright/dimmed and cycle through pages 1 (dim), 2 (bright), 3 (dim) and then 1 (bright) ie it would be out of sync wouldn’t it

Be aware before you buy it doesnt work (windows10), the drum pads dont work, it's not recognized instantly. It _can_ work for the midi key and functions can be learned but it's a very manual setup process and there is no instructions on how to set it up just a 2 page pdf explaining a couple of buttons on the controller
