As long as it's closer than last game we're happy and hoping Detroit goes all the way if we don't". The love for this lions team is crazy and the NFL will be following Detroit's blueprint. Your watching history in the making. Like when Steph Curry changed the NBA into 3 ball. Lions are changing it to never play it safe and go hard
At the beginning of his time in Detroit, it looked as though LA got the better of that deal, but it seems as if he turned around after Campbell became HC. The trade was good for both teams, and I would love to see the Lions in the Super Bowl. Their competition? Anybody but the Steelers, please (I'm a Bengals fan).

But honestly, I gotta give my tip 'o the cap to the Defense and AG. My word fellas....how on earth can a D that's so decimated come out and play like that? Held Love to 3 completed passes in the first half! Stood on their run game the ENTIRE night. Lost Mcneil, and STILL just didn't flinch. Game ball to the entire Defense, absolutely well done gentlemen...amazing dub for these guys. And how could I not mention Jake Bates? Love this guy, love his story, love his leg. Props to the Lions and welcome to the playoffs again. I just wish they would stop getting injured. If anything will doom them in January it's the amount of injuries they are racking up. They need to start getting healthy, they can't lose any more men. Especially with Buffalo next week, they need to be as close to full strength as they can be.
This is why we need to keep winning. If Eagles and Vikings could just drop a game each so we could get #1 spot and rest in Week 17 and 18 to give our Defence a month to recover that would the stuff of dreams.

I remember the year the Detroit Lions were 0-16. Today's TNF game just puts an exclamation mark on the fact that fortunes can change for a team. Gotta root for them Lions to go to the Superbowl. On the same note, I guess, after 17-odd years of super-domination, the New England Patriots might not mind a few decades of being very bad. 🙂
Yes they can. We got Burrow and he changed our stars. You guys got Goff and that head coach of yours. They changed your stars and I'm thrilled for you guys
The balls on Dan Campbell. That was something else. I can't see many (if any) other coaches going for it there on 4th and inches at the 20 instead of kicking the field goal for the lead. But he did, they converted and won it without having to give the ball back to Green Bay. I give Dan my kudos. I also tip my hat to Jared Goff. His play after the terrible 3rd quarter INT to set the Packers up for a 21-17 lead was tremendous. Outstanding game by both teams in this one. It lived up to the hype and then some.
The Lions committment to the run game is beautiful to watch it makes their playaction so deadly because the linebackers genuinely think the back is going to get the ball and Goff can then just pick them apart
This is one of those posts you were going to post no matter how the game played out as long as the Lions won. The running game was terrible ineffective last night. It almost cost them the game. Only Goff chucking it saved them and no it wasn't a because of a bunch of play action

When the ball was in the air it was HIS and he HAD the stats, his... need I go on? As a Broncos fan, I... was NOT happy when they released him. I am happy with the team's success this season, but now I can only imagine the strength of the receiving corps with Patrick opposite Sutton(?)! We have a good nucleus, but Patrick would have made it better! Peace out dude... (edit: punctuation)
The play the Lions called on 4th and 1 for a first down at 5:52 mark here..Goff pitches the ball behind him 7 yards to the RB and essentially made it 4th an 8 yards now for a first down and they end up turning the ball over on downs..Can't believe they would call that play with inches to go for a first down..The Lions didn't even try to disguise the play..

The Eagles and Vikings are only one loss behind us and we are playing the number one team in the AFC and the two loss Vikings in the next four weeks. 49ers are also in the hunt to win their division so that’s not going to be an easy game either. And of course the Bears- a team I’m sure we all had pencilled in as a win just a few weeks ago- essentially beat us last week if not for horrendous time management. We don’t play a single game where we can guarantee a win for the rest of the regular season. The Eagles play 3 of the bottom 10 teams in the next 4 weeks. We could easily lose that one seed if we’re not giving it our all every single week.

I think people are rooting for Buffalo and Detroit. Either way a beleaguered team gets a much needed SB
I was at Dunham's purchasing some firearms and ran into a pack of cheeseheads. We look at each other smile and both say "who's going to win?" Green Bay fans both say "it will be close because Detroit's so banged up but Detroit will pull it off.
I think no matter who you root for we all want the chiefs to lose.
Most injuries in the league, hardest schedule in the league…

I am so impressed by Lions. They know who they are and truly fight as a team. Goff is such a good QB and I love the coach.
Yep, Goff is a great QB. A hell of a lot better than Dak Prescott.

They better learn how to defend the pass. Get the lead give it up three times ! They played well against the ground game but looked lost against the past at crucial times. They are going to have to contend with this young Lions team for a long time. Better figure it out.
Happy for Patrick, what a night. Jamo balled out. St. Brown came up with a few big catches when needed. Sam "Golll-yyyy" LaPorta came up big multiple times for us. Sonic and Knuckles obviously had a good game. Kept their D honest so we could open up the play action. Gibby caught a few nice gains out of the backfield. Amazing offensive night.
Unfortunately injuries are a part of the game. There is no control over that. All we got to do now is just keep winning and rest our starters and we'll be okay

The balls on Dan Campbell. That was something else.

Hey, Caleb Smith, if you think Patrick was average then you don't know great! I'm a Broncos fan since the days of Lou Saban as Head coach (are you familiar with him?). Great doesn't always mean longivety with a particular team! Patrick's route running, his determination, his speed, his ease at getting open, that's what made him great!
