The previous hybrid, non PHEV model was the top selling SUV in its size category the US. Interiors are always well thought out and just great in Lexus. Nice luxury touches all over. Its a premium brand but that price is a bit astonishing. Fuel efficiency is commendable! This would be great for longer daily commutes in Dallas, and for longer road trips as well. Another home run for Lexus, I expect. Really great review. Thanks. I do like the way you are matching your outfits (or hair) colors to the car colors! We do notice! :)
I really enjoyed your review. Thank you. We are already converted. We are replacing our 2020 RX with this new 450h+ in a few weeks. We did our test drive yesterday and it is a quantum leap in so many ways from the existing model.
Love the shape, apart from the grille, like the interior quite a lot but the 2.5 Turbo won't last as long as the old V6 unit. Lack of the V6 would take the RX off my shopping list.
I saw that the Lexus RX used to come with a 3.5-litre naturally aspirated V6 engine. However, in 2022, they decided to swap it with a 2.4-litre turbo 4cyl. Same case with the Toyota Highlander in North America (or the Kluger as it’s available in Ozzyland). The 2.4 turbo is more torquey than the V6, but is down on horsepower. Note that I’m referring to the RX 350 that is not available in Europe.
Lexus has in the UK gone from being ignored, to being ridiculed/derided, to being recognised as the international luxury brand it is in less than 10 years. Imagine when the Brits find out these machines are basically bulletproof and last 20+ years with minimal maintenance. Wonder how the Germans (and Land Rover) will respond?
I watched the Mercedes GLE 450 Review before catching your this Lexus RX video on youtube and I feel more inclined to lexus RX as it looks more soothing and befitting to the eyes in terms of ergonomics, space, and height. you look really cool, calm, kind, sweet, amiable, and gorgeous at the same time. God Bless you
@@AutoSocialUK mercedes needs to take cues from lexus design and put their own design architect on it to creat something which has all that lexus has but a design that goes beyond lexus on both interior and exterior like spacious interior as well as viewing from inside to outside should be felt as if magnifying angles and views to every nook and corner as if driving a drop-top
like the idea of the self charging hybrid as well as plug-in hybrid, especially for longer journeys, giving less fuel anxiety. Can you select it to drive on say the motorway using the self charging mode to maintain the plug-in range battery for going to citys with congestion charges, bristol/london etc, or like when i drive to my job which is approx 120 miles away, but then only stay about 3 miles from work, so over my 4 or 5 days at work i do 24-30 miles, to which i could then use the eletric motor instead, as that would be a great option. Also does the self charging battery actually trickle charge the plug in battery, or does it just maintain its own battery charge? Do you think they will incorporate this is the toyota range of vehicles aswell, considering they are all part of the same grou, so maybe in something like the RAV-4 or something bring that overall cost down, as that £65-80K price point is as you say quite high?
Can you do video on cvt auto next time you test a car like can you go up or down steep hills as in normal autos I live in very hilly terrain thinking of buying Yaris cross loved this video and the one on Yaris cross will be watching more of your videos thanks.
Another great review Tish. Without any doubt this is a great and well equipped car however the initial cost for me anyway it is way to expensive. There are other things that I would spend that sort of money on. I might consider a used example if I could justify it though as that 'could' save quite a lot of money. It would also be useful to get a view on the initial reliability of all of those really useful features. Great production and editing Tish and thanks for sharing.
No, it's not expensive..... it's just that the British pound has lost so much of value that its purchasing power has gone down just like the Titanic....
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you Paul, I did call it the wrong name a couple of time but that’s thanks to good old dyslexia 😂 I didn’t even notice when editing
True! Sorry about that. I can however say, I drove all day and still had miles of electric left which is UNHEARD of??? Usually it’s gone in the first 20 mins!
This version sounded much quieter than the RX350 or 350h. Plus the acceleration is at least acceptable, ie, in the 6 second range. Probably the one to get.
Do I call it an NX? 😩 I’m dyslexic, so when companies swap one letter out I struggle. Also, I am aware that it is wireless (I should have mentioned that) but I prefer to have my CarPlay wired, so I can chose easily when it’s connected and not ☺️
Hate the front grill and the infotainment center, the screen should have been bigger. Also it seems Lexus doesn't know which direction they are going with this brand for a while because their vehicles don't have the same wow factor they once had.
Am i missing something? why do we want a car that requires both forms of top up, petrol AND electric. I just don't get that. either fill it up with fuel or charge it up with power but with this you have to waste your time doing both. that seems like a backward move. That said, Lexus quality, reliability and looks that don't follow the mainstream trend, not bad at all.
As this is supposed to be a hybrid why do you need to charge it up at now a very high cost that matches the cost of Fuel? I think this is the biggest mistake ever. The costs of Charging have gone up so much it equals the cost of buying fuel. Why is no one stating this now. The only way forward with cars it to make them run only on Hydrogen no batteries.
Only really if you charge publicly, i still know lots of people charging for much less at home. I agree it isn’t as appealing as it once was but the cheaper charging from home and tax benefits still make it a good move for a lot of people. I do see your point though, not likely the direction things will eventually head in.

A grand review so informative. Your videos are getting better every time ❤❤
Thank you so much! Filming this day went very smoothly!

Nice! That’s great to hear. It does drive so nicely, whilst keeping all the best bits about Lexus!
How so? From someone with a 2022 RX450h.
Love the shape, apart from the grille, like the interior quite a lot but the 2.5 Turbo won't last as long as the old V6 unit. Lack of the V6 would take the RX off my shopping list.
Fair enough! Thank you for sharing Tim
There is no turbo on the 2.5l engine in the 350h and 450h+.
The interior is just gobsmackingly beautiful….😊
Isn’t it just!
The best looking RX since the second gen RX, which was introduced 20 years ago
I agree, I used to have a 2004 RX 300 and it was very smooth and refined. Flat rear floor too!
I enjoyed watching the Video Review. One of the best Lexus Models on sale with a superb Interior
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great review! Thanks for posting.

Yeah big change, I do remember the last Gen RX being offered as a RX 200t at 1 point too
@@toms_garage Yup, so this is not the first time Lexus is using a turbocharged engine in the RX.

Absolutely stunning and the car ain't bad either 😉
🤦🏾♂️
I like the stunning curves myself 😉.
Great video , Lexus quality is top notch

I’ve never really been that into Mercedes. It would be Lexus for me!

If you have the money its an alright car.
Great review love 🙂
Yes, I guess if you’re aloud to pick a very expensive company car, it’s a nice choice! I would prefer it to a BMW

I would recommend test driving one, I have a CVT in my 2009 iQ and its very noisy. However when I tested the 2021 Yaris Hybrid it was much quieter.
Excellent work!

great video, loved your instagram posts on the RX too!! love the sonic colour
Glad you liked it! Thank you so much!
@@AutoSocialUK you are doing amazing
Hey great review what real world mpg was you getting?
Great video, full of enthusiasm and very informative, you definitely did your homework beforehand.
You weren’t listening then she called it a Nx
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you Paul, I did call it the wrong name a couple of time but that’s thanks to good old dyslexia 😂 I didn’t even notice when editing
80k for a family car! How are they going to afford shoes for Tarquin and Tristan
& that is not even the top of the range model I think its nearly £90k (£96k on the Lexus UK website for the top end RX500h)
They’ll have to start shopping in Debenhams instead of Louis Vuitton
This is not a family car. It’s for the upper middle classes, especially women who trot around by themselves and now, with the 500h, possibly some men.
@@AutoSocialUK haha!! the shade! (not my LV)
Not a family car, its a luxury SUV
Never really fancied a Lexus..but…this is a gorgeous looking car, inside and out. Great review you just did. Well done 👍
Amazing, but would you upgrade from a 1983 maestro city " plus" ? Tough decision
They don’t make ‘em like they used to
Saw one of these recently in white. Looked impressive on the road.
They're pretty striking, I saw a bronze one the other day!
you got, you got, you got.
First car review set in Crawley…Subscribing. Great review
Awesome, thank you! Did you recognise the place I was filming?
Thanks for that, when you said A LEXUS my Alexa went off😉
Hello, if the vehicle is not charged with electricity, will there be a decrease in performance or less performance?
Great review!! RX450h+ Is it available in Canada?
I am really sorry, I am not sure on that
A real-world range test on the battery would be good to do.
Be really great if you could give us the mpg you are achieving, how it compares to the claimed figure
True! Sorry about that. I can however say, I drove all day and still had miles of electric left which is UNHEARD of??? Usually it’s gone in the first 20 mins!
@@AutoSocialUK thanks for the update. Impressive vehicle, same about eh price.
Beautifull car ,always loved that car ,but never driven
This car looks great inside out. The colour not my favourite and the price , anything else top one. Thanks for sharing
Lovely car. And great review.
Very nice
This version sounded much quieter than the RX350 or 350h. Plus the acceleration is at least acceptable, ie, in the 6 second range. Probably the one to get.
It’s a Rx not Nx like you kept calling it plus Apple CarPlay is wireless so you don’t need that usb 😢

Ginger and Copper my favourite colours!👌💓
One built for speed both built for comfort 🤫
Hahhahaha you guys
If simple things are done right they are impressive. 😃
Couldn’t agree more!
You keep calling it an NX and you finished by saying nearly £70,000 was a lot to pay but earlier you said it was nearly £80,000 🤯 - nice car though!
I'm a fan of it
When does this get to the USA?????????
Unfortunately due to your obsession with big cars.... I don't think you'll get this one!
Lexus is the best luxury brand end of
Hate the front grill and the infotainment center, the screen should have been bigger. Also it seems Lexus doesn't know which direction they are going with this brand for a while because their vehicles don't have the same wow factor they once had.
have you seen the LC 500
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts!
great video love lexus
Thank you so much!
I like it
A fabulous car a great review,I like that new colour but just to costly for me
You and me both!
That’s a mad price……
Lovely vid as ever Tish. But such a tragic car, that hit every branch as it fell from the ugly tree!!
Hahaha it is quite a ‘looker’ in one way or another!
Am i missing something? why do we want a car that requires both forms of top up, petrol AND electric. Great review, however you kept calling it the NX
I know! Nightmare!
i will not change to the 4cyl crying machine ! Next for my 2010 model is the last of them from 2020/21 ruclips.net/video/3bSB_TdBA8A/видео.html
My Lady .. you are referring too much to the 'this is the new NX' where it should be the 'R' X
I know 🥹 I am dyslexic, so jumble up my letters. As long as we all know what I mean ☺️
It should get together with the BMW iX. Just imagine what the child cars those two would produce would look like 😮
80k......I think I am out of touch here !
Ouch right…. Starts from 60K

80k and apple carplay with a cable
Sorry, it is wireless. I just prefer to choose to have mine wired, so I can pick when it’s connected ☺️
She keeps referring to it as an NX 😅
I know, I’m dyslexic so when companies change one letter it sends my brain into haywire
Tish,it's too expensive!!!
Yes, this is the most expensive combination… there is a 350 starting from £60,000 but I agree. Still ALOT of money
Beautiful lady w/ a handsome car
Class car. Oh if only. Just need to win the lotto first lol or find a rich partner :)
Both would be nice!!
@@AutoSocialUK I agree.
It's basically a luxurious version of the Toyota RAV4 PHEV, but at twice the price! The front grill is awful!
not cheap
RX ... not ... NX!
I’m dyslexic, so cars named with letters are a nightmare 😂
@@AutoSocialUK Very nice car though :)
A hybrid drivetrain is the most stupid invention ever. Toyota must wake up or go bust.
Yay another overpriced EV. Great 👍
Something cannot be pretty unique or quite unique. The word unique cannot by definition be qualified in that way.
What if it’s not totally unique 😉
