Surely if people want a sports car then that is the type of car they would buy. This car is built for comfort not for hurtling around a race track. On most of our UK roads it is just a matter of joining the nearest traffic queue, so why not do it in comfort. In addition it is really reliable and dependable.
Well said Victor makes me laugh when they go on about sporty suv's, how sporty is a 2 ton 4x4 dont make me laugh, pitch it against a Lotus Evora 450 and here endeth the lesson.
As an rx owner I don't "throw" my car around like BMW and other brand owners do. I bought it to get me from A to B in comfort and luxury. It does that perfectly with loads of extra tech that rivals charge an absolute fortune for to have added. Plus you it us extremely rare see a Lexus broken down at the roadside. My one is 13 years old and drives beautifully and the dealerships treat me with the same courtesy as a new car owner.
This car makes you drive in a smooth, effortless, restrained and courteous manner. It quite literally changes how you drive, for the better. Lexus has this spot on. I'm averaging 34 mpg with a mix of short and long journeys. Long journeys are so effortlessly despatched and shorter town driving is stress free and relaxed.
Agree. I recently upgraded from a 2020 Mazda CX-5 Turbo - drove fast and sporty. Ended up trading that car in for a 2021 Lexus RX 350 and my kidneys are happier than ever as that Mazda while it drove sporty drove with a harsh suspension ride. The Lexus has indeed slowed me down, I find I'm tend to cruise sensibly in comfort and class. I love this car.
Very detailed review. The kind I normally find with Alex on Autos. For once, I also did not feel the reviewer was being uninformed when he compared the thrill factor of this car with that of the Euro brands. It just felt like another bit of information to help the buyer and stressing that this is not a car for the thrill seeker, but for the more sober rider.

mine is 11 with 275000 on it....when the new RX comes out only with small 4cylHybrids i will buy one of the last V6Hybrid from 2020/21. Lexus do big mistakes with canceling the V6Hybrid from sedans and now from their best selling SUV !
this interior is perfect for me; i like the analog clock and high quality everywhere. And my 6x DVD Changer is most welcome on a rest when watching a video with pure surround sound from Mark Levinson
@@terrificspokesman7416 Well a "luxury feature" contributes to the overall "luxury". I'm a chauffeur, and it's very important. (if I were a successful chauffeur, I'd get the LS, of course 🤣)
Belt driven cvt? Do YOUR HOMEWORK 😂. It’s NOT belt driven and is NOT a true cvt. it’s an i-cvt which is planetary gear linked direct to the motors and operates similar to but not the same as a cvt. Peak torque us on tap at the slightest prod of the throttle. I do wish more journos would get this right.

Yes very true

A very smooth and dependable vehicle - exactly what this kind of vehicle should be, not the overly stiff, "sporty" type vehicles from other brands
It's not a belt driven CVT, it's an e-CVT with a planetary gear set. Quite different!
Very very different. You can’t even compare the two.

Great to hear that your Lexus is still going strong, Roger. Thank you for watching 👍 Are you considering getting a new car soon?
I own 2017 model and it is extremely comfortable and quite powerful. The only downside is lack of android auto.
…That’s a good point, I’ve never seen a Lexus on the side of the road that I can remember

It's not a belt driven auto gear box. Its a eCVT, no belt, no traditional gears. Get it right!!

I have a 2.5 4 cylinder Lexus hybrid and can assure you it’s as smooth as any V6 I’ve ever driven
@@Shane-zx4ps and i can assure you after driving this new 2,5cyl Hybrid in the Highlander i´m really happy in my understressed growling V6 !
Excellent review. Thank you.

Great review. Can you please advise the boot capacity with the seats in their furthest forward setting? Thanks
Hi Hector, boot space increases to 924 litres when the rear seats are folded down 👍
@@rivervalegroup Hi. Thanks but I meant what was the boot size with the rear seats up but slides forward...
I wish you reviewers would realise the RX is not a sports SUV. It’s a long range cruiser.. what’s not to understand?
Thank you for the feedback, Jason 👍 Are you looking for a new car?
Interior looks very well made but for a 2020 car its quite dated. Great review.
Thank you for watching, Fred in the Shed!
Not dated at all
this interior is perfect for me; i like the analog clock and high quality everywhere. And my 6x DVD Changer is most welcome on a rest when watching a video with pure surround sound from Mark Levinson
You failed to point out the lack of second row climate controls - absolutely ABSURD for a vehicle in this class.
Well you can live without it. This car is about true luxury not luxury features
@@terrificspokesman7416 Well a "luxury feature" contributes to the overall "luxury". I'm a chauffeur, and it's very important. (if I were a successful chauffeur, I'd get the LS, of course 🤣)
16/17 mpg as shown - gulp !
