Dude, watching you work is incredible. Your videos are quick and efficient and the most useful and helpful instruction I’ve seen on RUclips for any trade or profession. Keep doing what you’re doing. If there was a guy like you making this style of video for every trade, we’d all be better for it. Thanks.
Great tutorial man! Recently I've been having issues with the 3M white tape splintering... brand new rolls tearing off in little pieces. Have you experienced this?? Any solutions?
My 3m 2020 tape tends to splinter more when the adhesive is cold. If it has been sitting in my vehicle less of an issue when it's room temperature. I've also got some rolls from SW that had been sitting on the shelf 6 years.
@@Hyeongjong part of my method of masking arounnd doorjambs and windows, (not needed for baseboards) is to put a flap in the paper which stops the spray paint from hitting the walls check out my other masking videos, or checking on instagram too, to see more. Xc_painter on insta
XC Painter awesome.. thanks . So if you were masking on hardwood finished room.. to spray trim... in your opinion, this blue tape would hold without edge lock...or having to use frog. Thanks in advance
@@KissDeanoI use it for hardwood floors all the time. It's all about how good you are at laying a nice edge, accurately, and burnish with a flex putty knife like shown in this video. If there's space at all under baseboards, you have to tape under there nice and tight, wrinkle free, etc. Of course floors need to be very clean.

Johnny White-Pants I haven't run into that lately, using pg5 blonde tape.

Are all your walls in the states textured like that I'm from the UK and our walls are a smooth finished
Nah, we have all kinds of textures. Lots of smooth stuff too.
Hi there, do you always mask the walls, or is it only when your not painting the walls ,
Artie6937 thanks for asking, I don't always mask the walls off. It depends on the job and it's schedule.
What is the spray tip used for? Doesn't it stick to the wall when the paint is blown?
The spray tip used is a 410, the paint does not get on the walls
@@XCPainter OK I'll try it too

3m 2090 this is 1.5" wide or 36mm
oh..so you dont even use the edge guard type..just standard?. @@XCPainter
@@KissDeano correct. I have used edge lock, but rarely. With spraying this trim, bleed through isn't an issue.. though brushing could cause a little.
