Grand Seiko, we hear about them all the time...for good reason. In our opinion they just SWOOPED into 2021 and created the best green dialed watch out there. Not under $10,000, not under $5,000, just out there. Based off their SBGW231 these 140th Year Edition watches absolutely knock it out of the park.
Other than that Michael contemplates on buying a new watch, this time...a dive watch. Not a Rolex Submariner or anything like that but rather...an Oris. Why an Oris you ask? Well he thinks they are quite cool and leaves it at that. The boys also venture into Bvlgari's insane diamond minute repeater and Michael struggles over any word that has more than one syllable (it's okay Michael is writing this).
Last but certainly not least, Christian announces a new watch he's thinking of picking up! Hint hint, it's a JLC.

The Christian and Michael videos are quickly turning this into one of my favorite channels.
Undeniable chemistry I think the whole team could sit in this vibe on screen and I’d watch it.
Same here. I really enjoy it
Yup. Even tho Christian's a little too NJ for me, I can't deny that I've been following T&H for years and rooting for his success. The addition of Michael to the mix had made these some of my favorite vids to watch about timepieces.
Damn you still make videos…. Lol
I concur
Y'all hit a home run with this format of videos. It's been a joy with each new episode. Just fun casual talk with good chemistry.
And then one day I woke up, and became completely in love with Grand Seiko.
Michael’s quips are so well timed. Christian is the cool douche everyone likes cause his hair is perfect.
I own a Grand Seiko SBGW231 (the plain dial version of those 3 watches), and it is a nearly flawless dress watch that can double as a casual piece. I consider it the Japanese Calatrava. Perfectly sized at 37.5mm.
I am purchasing the 231 soon
Im dreaming of owning it lol. Been looking at it for a few weeks now
Ps. You two are hilarious!! Love that nonchalant, funny, genuine approach to rather serious topics.
Grand seiko is taking it to another level for sure
As a jersey dude myself it's cool to have local collectors.
Good job guys. I enjoyed the camaraderie.
Why are you two wearing panerai? Is the panerai bubble coming back? 😂
Grand Seiko just Hi-Beat Everyone…
Michael should go with Oris. I think the added detail about the denim brand collaboration makes it a better buy in association with his YT channel. Also, I’m about to buy a small seconds JLC Reverso at the end of this month. Would be nice to see some JLC content.
Best 2021 green dial : I would say it’s a draw between the pistachio Breitling chronograph and these three gorgeous GS.
Lol, so I never comment on your videos, but I'm a fan. But of the options you mentioned, 100% the Oris upcycle. Every Nomos I've seen on a friend's wrist for longer than a few months, I eventually get tired of. Great watches, but the whole Bauhaus thing gets old.
I just tried on both upcycle versions, and they're absolutely incredible!!
The Club is good, but I just sold mine, it never really got any wrist time and just didn’t fill that everyday watch. The Oris Diver 65 i think would be the better option.
Michael’s wit is beyond underrated! 😂👏🏻
Had the same dilemma as Michael, needed a watch that I can use anywhere. Not in the options but decided to go with the Tudor BB58 Blue (yes, I know cliche) but I haven't looked back since. The blue changes depending on where you are, and it gives just the right pop of color when you need it. It's now on my wrist more than any other watch I own.
Christian you need that GS 007 you showed today... just wow
that 9R manual wound spring drive movement is so amazing.
Suggestion for Michael - Seiko SPB149 - the dial is very special in real life.
The Oris Aquis with the blue dial and integrated rubber strap is spot on! I don't usually like integrated straps but Oris just nails it. The blue dial is just out of this world.
Michael, I was in the same position as you wearing a G-shock everyday. I recommend is out of left field. For a diver watch I would suggest to pickup an Omega Seamaster 300m. I recently purchased the black dial on a stainless steel bracelet. It's 100% the most versatile watch. However, if I had to choose between Oris and Nomos I would go with Oris Aquis blue or black dial variations.
The phish concert remark by Christian is genius lmao
shoutout from singapore ! keep up the good work
Go SINN if it’s like rally for a “Dive” watch 😛😝
Go for the NOMOS orange dial Michael..
"westfield lubmba"
Here in New England we know about the Law of Conservation of Rs. When you take an R out, you have to put it in somewhere else. So you put the silverware in the drah, but then you hang the drawerings on the walls.
This is hilarious. Never heard this 😂😂
as a rhode islander, i can say that this man is absolutely & completely correct.
IWC is actually one of the first in sustainability reporting and winning several awards
The Nomos is awesome but if you want a diver, get a diver. The Aquis Upcycle is amazing, as is the Divers 65. That version with the dark green dial and bronze bezel that you put up was stunning! Classy enough to be versatile but with enough color to be obviously different from everything else
Weird sitting on wrong side , great work my favourite watch channel
Loving the new format and the banter. Michael: go with the Oris Diver 65. Has perfect vintage vibes. Especially the denim version, it rocks!
Love the orange Nomos 🍊
The tip discussion blows my mind every time. Just pay your waiters properly, America ✌️
no way. Michael, I've been looking the orange Nomos Club all week. Go for it!
I don’t know what to say without sounding too cheesy? But you guys are pretty cool, keep up the great work. It’s really fun and entertaining for us to watch.
Grand Seiko are just knocking it out of the park. Now they need to come with a collection of amazing sports watches with much smaller case dimensions and they will be a real competitor to Rolex 👌
LOL @ "Wear it to a Phish concert!"
That was an excellent video, good job, you guys are very pleasant.
For the price circa, 1k I’d definitely check out seiko prospex line.
There are also some interesting offerings from micro brands. Halios, Monta, Baltic, Unimatic to name a few.
Spb149/143
@@plusgood15 those look really nice. I'd go with the grey dial SPB143.
@Christopher Wood -MDH- lot's of great choices with Seiko
Nomos over Oris (imo)
These nomos watches you're considering are just gorgeous
Might pick up a Nomos for my next watch I have been really likening what they have to offer lately
The Sinn U50 looks great. Completely opposite of dress, but definitely not something you need to worry about when wearing.
Yep. Go with full tegamented and never worry
Michael has a routine of downing two beers before he starts I guess. Love the banter .
Good job capturing omiwatari dial
I just purchased the Nomos Club Campus in Future Orange. 🍊 I got the 38mm with the darker strap and quickly replaced with a lighter gray strap like the one that comes with the 36mm. Had to order from Germany. Love it!!
🧡
Awesome seeing Christian s evil twin wearing the Panerai with the tag swinging here and there 😂
I like the future Orange Club so much! That is fun and suits Michael the best. I have 3 Nomos watches and I think they are the best for the money!
Nomos isn’t a diver. So go for the Oris. Two other interesting ones would be Tags Aquaracer or Certina DS super PH500 (love the orange one just screams 70ies)
Tag Heuer Aquaracer 2021 with a green dial - just got the blue dial one, local shop didn't have the new green one... but boy-oh-boy, the green one is a beautiful watch with a lot of cool upgrades (compared to the previous generation). Oh, and Sinn U50 is also something to consider.
I agree with what I think most folk are saying; the Oris plastic dials are super unique, very fun and I can only imagine how many strap combinations you could pop off with it from natos, to suede etc. If I were you Michael that's what I'd go for!
Thank God for that early Google Ad. A desperately needed escape hatch from the cuteness.
That moustache though! 😱😱😱
I'm wearing a H71556557 Hamilton Khaki field automatic chronograph silver/white dial on a vintage brown leather strap with a deployent clasp.
"I started this company" 😂
I love that Paneristi Radiomir. Wow 👌
Hate to through a spanner in the works, but what about the Serica 5303?
Michael-Nomos! , I am not a fanatic regarding Nomos but those watches you had on the screes will be forever in your collection.
About the Oris clean the ocean plastic thing, Christopher Ward is a brand that has been really into this for a couple of years now with a few of their models.
Grand Seiko will blow Rolex out of the water.
If people were more enamored with design, ingenuity, and craft rather than prestige and the potential to make a profit from a resale, Grand Seiko would be far outpacing Rolex in sales.
I have the Seiko LX SNR045 (Antarctica). Beautiful green dial. My only issue: people saying "Oh I love your Hulk!"
Since you do like ORIS, try their ORIS Prodiver Chronograph. It's huge, both in size and presence! It is expensive, but worth it!!! At 1000m water resistance you can wear it ANYWHERE and be confident! It is NOT a dress watch! if you want a dress watch, buy a dress watch. IF you want a diver, then get the ORIS Prodiver Chronograph!
I really like the Formex essence 39.worth a look.
Revisiting past videos so I can see Cristian and Michael together again.
I had a Nomos Club Automat. Perfect watch in everyway EXCEPT the darn lugs. They were just too long and the gap between the case and the strap ate away at me. Had to regrettably sell it for that reason alone. Those bronze Oris watches are NICE.
I love those Breguets!!!
Go the Nomos club in orange !
Christian: “I’m 🤌 from 🤌 Jersey 🤌, bro 🤌.”
I know it's a different caliber of watch no pun intended, but as a "replacement" for a gshok for everyday wear I'm looking at a Marathon Diver. Teddy turned me on to them, and I think the Jumbo Diver will be my replacement for my gshok. It's still a watch guys watch with the auto movement but not so flashy that if you beat it up you're going to feel bad about it. Plus I love day dates and my wife likes the bigger chunkier watches on my wrist 7 5/8". The only thing I wished it had was a display back, but I just love being able to see how any auto watch works.
Big fan of your channel. Keep up the good work! Love both brands but I’d go with Nomos. I have the club neomatik and it’s so versatile. Works on a NATO (or Erika’s MN) and a bracelet (Nomos’ sport bracelet is the bomb). Agree that it’s not a “true” diver but I swim with it all the time and very few of us are going deep enough to challenge the water resistance. The only negative to me is that the crown on the clubs digs in a bit. Not so much because it’s big but because the watch is so slim. Can’t go wrong either way.
Love Nomos but their polished watches scratch easy. You’re worried about messing something up, I can’t pick Nomos (I own a Tangomat GMT). I have an Oris Hodinkee 65, like but don’t love.
I bought a Tudor ceramic black as a nicer G Shock alternative. Water resistant, not really to be a diver (not legible on the bezel) but the hybrid strap and ceramic black case is way more scratch resistant (and I can’t see a scratch anyways).
Diver 65 is the perfect watch.. Looks great, fits the wrist very well and looks just different enough.
Give me that new Tag Heuer Aquaracer Night Diver.
The "What do you guys think?" Pause - had me crack up so loud.
Oris Cotton Candy or find that Momotaro collab, as I say in my D'Artisans....
Michael and I are twins. Love G-Shocks, Apple Watch, Grand Seiko, Nomos Club.
The Club Oranges 🍊 is a great watch and it's also a legendary type of buscuit in the UK.
The JLC Moon is my favorite Reverso. Second is the rose gold tribute fagliano.
Michael check out the Breitling SuperOcean. Different sizes different strap options.
Love the one that I own.
Micheal, you need to get that jeans Oris. It's basically you
Momotaro is an Awesome watch! JLC reverse is incredible! I own both watches so I highly recommend.
Michael, if you are considering the Aquis, take a look at Rado. They come in the smaller sizes that you like, a wide range of dial colors and TWICE the power reserve (38 on the aquis vs. 80 on the captain cook).
You guys messed me up today. Isn’t Christian always on the right and Michael on the left of my screen? Who is the curator now? Michael? I am all confused. 😁
Bromance. Michael is so like the kid at school that doesn’t leave you alone. So in love.
I like to think of Michael as Christian's ward. Having rescued Michael from his squeegee-kid gang, Christian is now introducing him to a refined and gracious way of life. I'm just afraid that one day Michael is going to break Christian's heart by losing interest in the watch lifestyle and returning to his gang roots or developing an interest in girls.
This is a weird/condescending comment. Even if it’s a joke. Then it’s a weird joke.
That green reverso this year is really nice.
Great video Gents! "No one likes to see that kinda guy fall" - had me rollin in laughs! Fellas should I leave the jubilee on my seiko SKX013 where it belongs or get the uncle seiko jubilee for my BB58, thoughts? Michael get a 1970 blue dial Sea King with that itty bitty whale it's Nasty! I say go Oris Diver 65 and talk patina and about the Momotaro Jeans company collab on your channel. I hate wearing suit jackets and suit pants it feels like a costume, feels like a pyjamas that I can't stretch in. Christian that voice is spot on tastefully throughout videos keep it. Cheers!
Between those two watches for Michael: Love Oris and Nomos. Between these two watches: the Nomos lugs are a bit big (long) for the design in my opinion. I'd go with Oris
Omega seamaster professional. Wave dial very cool.
I get why Oris went with the regular movement in that new release. A watch like that is a fun watch. It's not (likely) going to be somebody's 1st or 2nd watch. This is something to wear occasionally for fun. If I'm buying a watch like that, I personally am less demanding on the features, and also not wanting to spend as much money as I would on something that's a bit more versatile.
Hi Michael, excellent choices for your next watch! I'd love to give my two cents as to an owner of the Oris Momatoro Diver 65. I love this piece and I have a soft spot for Oris. I initially fell in love with the diver 65 looking at youtube video reviews of the watches and It was so hard to pick one out of their catalogue. I first bought a 36mm 65 on a bracelet with the black dial and Bronze edge bezel. What got me hooked was the beautiful proportions and obviously wonderful retro styling. I wore the watch all the time, formal or not, as it quickly became one of my favorites. Fast forward 6 months after my purchase, and Oris released their limited edition collab piece with Momotaro and I immediately wanted it. Quickly put my 36mm 65 up for sale and sold fast. Went to my AD and lucky enough they had it. I tried it on (keep in mind I have a small wrist, one of the reasons I gravitated towards the 36mm) but this wears fantastically. I believe if you want a 65, get it with bronze accents. This was my piece with a denim strap as I was looking at the Omega Railmaster with the blue dial, but this one took the cake as being more affordable and just that extra hint of special. The 65 is truly a unique piece in today's selection of vintage inspired dive watches, and this watch in particular just has beautiful qualities and such personification. My favorite design of it is the bronze accents with the mint green dial that fades into the edge of the dial covered with the dome crystal. Hope you find this just that bit more helpful in you deciding your next piece!
Why are we talking dive watches with cool colors and not talking about the Doxa Sub 200 or Sub 300?
Agree, check out Doxa if you want a colorful diver
How about the doxa sub 200 with the aquamarine colour?
Michael check out the Stowa Prodiver. Completely under rated but has a rich history. Even comes in titanium if you so choose. Have a few colorful options as well.
Thank you Christian and Michael for the video!!! Very nice Breguet, Christian. Enjoy it. And Michael, Nomos is a beautiful watch and Oris to. Hard choice for you :)). off topic - I'm still working to see the old video from T&H :))
Of those GS models, the far right, mint color dial would be my choice. Looks really nice.
JLC Tribute Moon looks amazing, but it was too big.
Doxa 200 C graph chronograph. Doxa just makes some really nice watches. Oris I see all the time pre owned they loose so much value. Not that I care about value but they go down in price so much it's hard not to be annoyed. I've even seen them brand new 50p off and not grey market.
"When Michael came...."
Lololol
Grand Seiko wins EVERY dial race :P
Not sure why the watch images take up 1/6th of the screen. I’m not here to look at those 2 goofs...
I would go with any Nomos model that you suggested because of how it would even "elevate" a classic T-Shirt that you would typically wear. It's going to dress you up slightly more than an Oris diver would.
Yo next time ya’ll there let me know 😭😭😭 this is literally my AD. Shout out Shalom he’s the best 💪🏽.
I love nomos, I bought 2 in the last 2 years. I sold both within 3 months. They have absolutely no wrist presence.
