I think you missed a massive point that would've made a good ending for the video. The new movie has multiple new cast members, many of which are actually friends of the original cast. I think this proves that the opinion of their not being enough people getting what you've gotten out of jackass is wrong. There will always be at least a few people who take inspiration from the antics of jackass, several very popular shows even have that same vibe (the eric andre show, loiter squad, impractical jokers etc). we will never completely run out of this type of content because people will continue to be inspired by these people. i've seen a lot of people get very upset about the addition of new members, but i honestly think it's the best possible choice for the group to make.
It kind of slipped my mind to insert it - I actually didn't want to talk about the new movie as much, as I was planning the script before I knew a new one was even coming out, but hey ho. My opinion on it is that I very much like the addition of new cast members, and it was a good choice to help keep in some of the harder hitting stunts. And to include people that obviously they inspired, like Eric Andre. I will say though that I still think my opinion still stands, as it echoes what I said in my Sunset Overdrive video - there is definitely an audience and a few bits of media to fill that audience, but it's a niche, and I still think it won't be inspiring a generation at the core because of the generational environment having changed.
I know Im late to the party, but you have exceptionally well done videos! And I'm frankly a bit surprised at the lack of attention your channel has gotten! So, just wanted to say I'm here before you blow up, and keep on keeping on my friend. From a fellow Jackassee, born in 91, this whole series will always hold a special place in my heart and the overall theme and story of my life. Especially in my youth
Thank you, that's very kind of you! My lack of audience probably has to do with my abysmal upload regularity 😅 but I do prefer making more in depth videos on things I'm passionate about, which takes time. I'm glad this video found it's audience of people that equally saw something special in Jackass!
I took a huge inspiration from Jackass growing up. Made several RUclips channels with similar premises. But the show and films capture something not many shows or channels like my own can replicate! All the best.
Glad to find this channel. As a brazilian, I related a lot with your background when jackass came out. Here it was aired on MTV in the mid 2000's (2006, 08 or something) I even recorded episodes and used to invite my friends to come at my place to watch it for hours. Love to see how this really impact our generation beside the social culture where in. I've never left the show and the attitude it grown on me for the years. Dunn's death was really harsh to swallow. But it was good to see the guys return this year in the new movie, more mature and professional and old haha. The show really reflect until these day our generation growth. But through the years one thing for sure we've learned: if you gonna be dumb you gotta be tough.
Here is a fun fact, you know Tony Dalton from Better Call Saul, well, he started with a Jackass copycat show but it lacked originality, so much that a guy died after drinking 40 shots of vodka.
Weird! I think a ton of Jackass knockoffs just didn't have a unique angle to bring them up to par with it. Ironic how people were always trying to demonize Jackass by making up stories of cast deaths, but it turns out it actually happened on a knockoff show.
I really enjoyed Dirty Sanchez that was on a different level. The name of the show Tony Dalton was in was "No Te Equivoques". It was a mexican production.
Hey dude! This was an excellent video! Who knew something like Jackass would have such an impact on people and such a strange re-evaluation on how people see it.
I watched this video and I’m at the ending. I figured you were a 100k channel, but you’re so under subbed it turns out. Keep up the good content, definitely subbing. ❤️
Thank you so much! I don't get to make much content because of life stuff but when I do I like to put my heart into it. Hoping to make more like this soon
@Gavinside your welcome. Also I have a suggestion. I can tell you are kinda trying to go with a retro feel with the style of the video. I think you should add some old film grain effects to some of the videos (like the ones you see in music videos, not just what shows up for "film grain effect" on youtube) I think it would look great with the look the video has. You will probably need to shell out some money for it but it would be worth it
I think Eric Andre is the closest modern example we have to Jackass-style entertainment. I recently watched his film Bad Trip and it takes the same approach that Jackass does where it doesn't demean or insult members of the public, just shocks and confuses them. They do the camera reveals during the credits and everyone seems to take it fairly well, which is just as well because there is some OUTRAGEOUS stuff in that movie. Highly recommend for Jackass fans.
Probably somewhere around where I live around Manchester. I like the shift to home premieres, as I prefer watching films at home, but they often cost more than the cinema as well and I doubt there will be a home service premiere for Jackass 4, at least in the UK.
I have latent dental issues from childhood, and don't have the money to fix them dude. Waiting list for a dental appointment in the UK at the moment is 9+ months.

Ehhh
I would never be part of the Jackass movies unless I could make whatever dark demonic deal Tremaine and Knoxville made so that no-one dies on set.
Been revisiting jackass including media about it and I am definitely watching and adding to my playlist. Thank you for taking the time to make this!!
Thank you so much!

Some of the best content I've seen in awhile.
Thank you!

Thanks for the kind words :)
This video is painfully underrated.
Did you make that intro? That was incredible.
I did! I took footage from old shows and commercials to help, but I did all the animation and editing :)
