Impact without pain. A couple years back I hit a block of ice under the snow with a snowboard while braking, with my back towards the slope. I hit it fast and I did a full 360 before landing on my chest. Thanks to my clothes and the snow it was pretty much painless, but the impact took the wind out of me pretty hard, I was gasping for air for a good 5-10 seconds. So I'd imagine that's kinda what happened to Johnny too.
it's like having your teeth done at the dentist, you can't feel the pain but if feels horrible. He felt a thud in a shovel like area but did not feel the pain.
Hearing Knoxville talk about turning down SNL because he had faith in the crew and what they were doing hits hard.

Anytime I feel down or having anxiety issues, I find anything Jackass to watch on YT and I feel better immediately. Better days. Amazing times. If I could ever meet any of them, I’d thank them for how much they helped me over the years.

it's actually a good descriotion. He means how a shovel is wide and flat so it would disperse the blow across your chest. Which is what the vest made the bullet feel like, rather than being concentrated in a very small spot and causing a lot of damage like you would expect.

@@tvph - It's hard telling, but, he definitely just said there will be new blood for 4. I guess that doesn't necessarily guarantee a whole new generation of films, but, if it makes money, it'll likely continue for as long as it makes that money.

Ever since hearing about the injury he took in Forever and how he lost some cognitive function afterwards, I’ve recognized he seems to talk a bit slower and thinks about things longer in recent interviews. I’m excited about Forever but I do hope it’s Johnny’s last, he’s more than proved himself and I’d hate to see anything worse happen to him. A true American Icon

Love Johnny Knoxville a ton watching the big brother documentary on Hulu and seeing how he wrote about the devices for self protection like the taser, stun gun, mace and vest shows dedication to the art of writing. However one note to GQ about undercover... I don't think you know what that word means.
I'll never forget Jackass's debut on MTV in 2000. I was 13. And just craving more. The show obviously didn't last long but these movies are just masterpieces.

The insurance company likely figured that Chris Pontius would have been killed. Not to mention that they REALLY do handle venomous snakes so the attendees would have been in danger as well if the snakes got spooked. Still I would have loved to see that bit.

The snakes were likely the primary factor, but any competent risk assessor-especially one hired by a company like Paramount-would absolutely take the political and religious beliefs of the “marks” into consideration when determining the cost of the insurance policy.
