There's actually another episode with Pontius at his real house that's good too.
And all of it is fake except Bam's house (which is his parents' house). And many of the embellished or faked cribs in the show were not rented by the celebrities, but rented by the production company that made the show. Then they would call famous people to come and pretend they lived in those rented estates.
Watching Johnny during Steve-O's crib segment was unnerving. You can tell how uncomfortable and concerned he was. Barely a joke cracked and really low energy. I am so glad Steve-O was able to kick it, it was killing the people around him.

Crazy to hear Steve-O's voice before he started straining it. You can actually hear his voice from his vocal chords. According to a voice coach, Steve-O currently uses vibration to create his voice, he doesn't even use the majority of his voice box. It's in good condition, too- he just doesn't use it! Probably psychological, or brain damage related from excessive drug use.

Really interesting seeing their different cribs/lifestyle choices: Bam with the best house and now unhappiest, free-spirit Pontius with what would be considered the “worst” living situation but he’s up there with Steve-o now in being the happiest, Dunn being comfortable and happy with a modest townhome (Westchester is a vibrant town, a townhouse smack in the middle would definitely be up there rent-wise but it’s cool seeing him choose a historic townhome over a giant mansion), then there’s Steve-os transformation from maniac to now striving to become the best version of himself.
I just recently got into Jackass, since I didn’t grow up with it. After I found out Bam and Dunn (RIP) lived in West chester aka right next door I had to look more into this show, just insane seeing the different personalities and backstories. For context, West Chester is geographically cramped with very weird sharp, winding highways, you couldn’t even drive over 80mph sober in that area. Sorry to hear the fans lost a major force to the series.
