having read his book and watched all his podcasts i understand why chris doesnt talk about his heritage much and respect his privacy. but i do love that the face of british car journalism at the moment is a brown man in a segment where we're few and far between. legend and an inspiration
He's not very brown. Persians usually aren't brown.
@@christianwestling2019 he’s obviously not white though
What relevance is colour?
@@frankyork5808 he literally gets asked about it in the video...
@@devd6373 cant be that obvious, I didnt know the last 30 years lol, not that it makes any difference, he's always representted 'us'
Very strange start , asking about failure as if these guys had failed at something in particular lol. as ive got older ive wanted less seats, less kids, less passengers haha
Right?! I feel like Chris and Ed were a bit dumbfounded by that and rightly so, frankly. Don't think I've ever heard an interview start with talking about failure and moving on...
Is that a part of the Tall Poppy Syndrome of Australia?
I thought it was odd and not a little disrespectful. And you can tell that they were pretty non-plussee. Chris has been very open about his various ventures that have come and gone, but this platform is very well thought-through.
@@davidhamilton1981 hes become an entrepreneur by default, suits him, the natural swing of things ;)
Great reply from Ed tho
Great interview always good to see how things are run and the car people behind it for the right reasons. Chris is down to earth as usual and says what he thinks… so refreshing these days. 10 out of 10
Chris is the GOAT, he summed it up perfectly with the 1.2L corsa ❤️
Great interview! I appreciate the content team shrinking Alborz head for the thumbnail 😉
We do what we can when we can.
Nice work, epic getting Chris and Ed
Fantastic interview!
14:27 Is Ed throwing shade at Mat Watson? 😂 Very true comment if so
Nope it's Mark Mccann. He has a series in which he exposes super car dealership practice where you have to buy a number of cars to be invited to buy an exclusive car like a Porsche 911 GT3 RS .He gets the car at the end of the 3 part series.
He bought it from an independent dealer though, not an allocation from Porsche.@@mrmangolele8574
@@mrmangolele8574but mark mc didn’t get one from Porsche? Definitely mat watson
It’s 100% about Matt. The blokes owns one clapped 996 911 and all of a sudden he has GT3 RS allocation.
@@jamesjmr5236 I see.
Chris is so right about enjoying driving anything. I feel exactly the same. I want to drive and operate everything. Shit hatchback, hire van, dumper truck, digger, lawnmower anything. Just joyous.
BMW i3 120ah owner here. You are spot on, this car is perfectly reliable, roomy enough for myself, wife, 2 kids and a small dog. We often do 250 km drives with it on a single charge. Unfortunately the new EV’s are going further and further away from that philosophy.
Only watching because it's CC... don't get carried away.
For the first time Chris can't hardly get a word in, and Edward is showing he is a real business man, something we don't see on their weekly Collecting Addicts podcast.
D996 is one of the best kept secretes in Europe 🙂
The BMW i3 is pretty much the only EV that makes any sense. How its made (thats the big one) and how it works in daily life.
yes please
All those A roads to the Nürburgring have very low speed limits on them now.
What a stupid first question. Have some respect.
A great opportunity lost, in an interview that had no direction or destination. Two great guests, and we learnt very little. More homework required by CarExpert l think.
A very odd stream of questions. Felt sorry for the CC guys tbh.
Comon guys, where are you from and followed by you were born in England
What is the brand of shoes Edward lovett is wearing ?
Those are Berluti Sneakers 👟
Collecting Cars cars go cheap good place to buy
Almost guarantee the 911 hat cafe story was in Bristol. Only in Bristol would that happen lol
Really average interview. You lads need to converse more, not just question. It’s one completely separate question after another. Listen to what they say, and expand. Basic conversational skills
Enough with the humblebrags, Chris!
