I used to, but now he's allowed them to be so commercial they are watered down and mostly ruined for me. Not the "sell out" factor, but it just makes me cringe when I hear some of his best works used like that when clearly he never needed it. There are better ways to use songs than the way he ended up using them. This would be an exception, as is Hollywood nights, main street, but it's disappointing at minimum.

Glenn was already down here producing Lou Ann Barton and beginning work on his debut album at Muscle Shoals Sound Studios. Glenn provided the guitar solo on, Till It Shines. Then Glenn and the other Eagles put out their patented cowboy harmonies for Fire Lake as the ever-adapting Swampers became an old west band!. I never heard if they traveled down to Montgomery to see the REAL 7 bridges Road they made so famous with the moss in the trees.

This was my father's favorite Bob Seger song. We would argue about music when i was a teenager who was better.... i loved Metallica and Slayer vs. Seger and Springsteen. Years later we agreed on a bunch of music.....i loved Seger and he got into Rose Tattoo. My dad passed away 2 weeks ago. I miss you dad.

We had both been drinking and getting emotional about family...the words" whos gonna break the news about uncle Joe" wrecked me ! as my dad lost his brother but also his dad (my granpa) within 2 weeks of each other. I was very close to both but it fuckin kills me when I think of my dad during that time but having to put us kids first and say .."whos gonna break the news about uncle joe"

He’s a Korean War Vet, never married (Cut the Cake) or had kids. Passed away at 60 years old, then only after that I come to find out his time over there probably influenced his lifestyle & reasons why he never ended up with a family. When this song first came out it was like instantaneously I thought of Uncle Joe.

"I DO!!" My father & mother split just before my 4th bday. My father was a Union man/ biker & loved to travel. We lived in Phoenix AZ, where I was born & my when our folks split, my older brothers told me NOT to go with pop, cause " DAD'S going to the Mountains where THE DEVIL LIVES"( He was headed for Colorado...the Rockies🤔😒😆, & we were ALREADY surrounded by mountains. Kids...lol). Any what's...their ploy to avert my leaving with my father FAILED, & we traveled ALL OVER the country before we got to ' The Devil's Rockies'. Point of the story( sorry)..We took our 1978 Lincoln Continental the whole trip, usually blasting his 8 tracks, & THIS PARTICULAR song freaked me out at first....until He & I began chanting " I DO" ..meaning WE wanted to go to ' Fire Lake' or WHEREVER we were told NOT to go cause dammit...this was OUR ADVENTURE & DEVIL BE DAMMED, BUT WE WEREN'T GOIN BACK!!!😆😂😁🤣 My father was a Mountain man & a MAN AMONG MEN, & I actually feel his loss in my SOUL if that makes any sense. I'm 48 and if not for my pops bein a biker I probly wouldn't of been subjected to all the best bands of the time . . Some funny memories and one being he would park his 49 panhead at 3 -4 AM and i could tell if he was shitfaced if he didnt kill it and glide in. So usually he would get off the bike and take a shiter it's a wonder he made it home from whatever party or bar but man I'll tell it first hand that bikers are good dudes
