Cheers to the midnights workers having beers at 3 am
What I admire about Bob Seger, he did the hard work on his own, no instant fame, hard work made Bob Seger. None of the kids of today, will ever be able to live up to Bob Seger. The kids of today are Instant's.
That's why they burn out so fast. Not Bob Seger though
My kids n grandkids love love all these cool songs. I taught them well. Im not old either. Just all young at heart. Ty all have a musical week ! 🎵🎶🎵🎶🥰🎤
Gotta hand it to Sierra Ferrell though :)
I always loved this my ex husband passed on the 17th of Feb and we buried him on the 25th they played this song I have listened to it so much since Saturday I'll always think of him when hearing this song now may he R.I.P.
My heart goes out to you! Nothing prepares us for the loss of our favorite people...
It is really amazing when they write these songs . How they can bring back or take us to a place in time for a few minutes that holds memories of time past. Sorry
May his memory be eternal.

Bob Seger was a songwriting mastermind. His lyrics captured the era perfectly
true he wrote I believe what he felt and what would sound good great writer and singer I happen to be 79 years old but I like Bob
"is"... "IS" a songwriting mastermind.....
nobody else could sing this. EVER
@@peterrradizeski2176 I'm 53. This song came out when I was about 10. But I love the music that came out either when I was too young to enjoy or understand it or that came out before my time. A 100 times more than what passes for music these days.
He also wrote songs that appealed to blue collar workers.
Seger songs got me through those angst ridden teen years. I wasn't a popular kid, had no girlfriend, no car, and worked at McDonald's. At night I would listen to Seger and would be taken away from that world. Thanks Bob for getting me through the tough times.
Same! his lyrics helped to escape small town America.......AKA KATMANDU! lol
Bob the best for us who were not the sharpest
Awesome man!
Right on brother.
Well said, young man. I think there's a whole generation that's gonna greive really hard when Bob moves on. He's a great man. Many of his songs have accompanied some of the best and most memorable times in my life. Thank you Mr.Bob.
I think the secret to Bob Seger's remarkable reach, is that his soul is literally in every lyric he writes. Simply stunning.
his writing is able to reflect your soul, mine, and all his fans. good comment ;)
Bob Seger's voice gives this feeling of freedom and joy of living a free life so authentically.

I used to, but now he's allowed them to be so commercial they are watered down and mostly ruined for me. Not the "sell out" factor, but it just makes me cringe when I hear some of his best works used like that when clearly he never needed it. There are better ways to use songs than the way he ended up using them. This would be an exception, as is Hollywood nights, main street, but it's disappointing at minimum.
Totally! We love Bob here in Michigan :-)
Who wants to play those 8s and aces?
Well...

Yes!!
I drew one card, and it was an ace. It's been a helluva good life.
Segers gritty voice combined with the smooth harmonies of the Eagles is truly sublime.
Hmm. I never realized the Eagles did the back up. That explains why this song makes me slightly anxious. Something about the Eagles has always given me the heebie jeebies. I don't understand it. Most people love them.
@@lindaharbison5556 Peaceful Easy Feeling? Maybe you had a bad experience while an Eagles song was playing in the background...

Another great Bob Seger song, his music will never get old.
One of the best 3 chord songs out there. And with the eagles singing backup, you can't get much better.
You could be up on stage singing with them --then maybe the concert people would not enjoy it but it still would be fun
Since backup vocals are being singled out.....

TRUE THAT
As a matter of fact, they wanted him to replace glen frey. he very appreciatedly declined. he had escaped the entanglements of fame and fortune and did not want to get caught up again.
Glenn and henley also sang backnups in " Against the Wind" sonf.
They believe in bob seger
No doubt.. every song wrote and sang are timelessly in a category by himself ..
Just awesome.. thank you Bob Seger for my 70's growing up with your eight tracks too !!
Amen Bro ... those were days in Utopia !!!
This is a song I feel only an American, who grew up during a certain time can understand.
Bob Seger "Ok who wants to back me up on this song?" The Eagles "We do!"
Actually, It took just a quick call to get Don And Timothy to our tiny airport. Glenn was already down here producing Lou Ann Barton and beginning work on his debut album at Muscle Shoals Sound Studios. Glenn provided the guitar solo on, Till It Shines. Then Glenn and the other Eagles put out their patented cowboy harmonies for Fire Lake as the ever-adapting Swampers became an old west band!. I never heard if they traveled down to Montgomery to see the REAL 7 bridges Road they made so famous with the moss in the trees.
I got your back dude !
Haha that is great! Nobody sounds like the Eagles! What an amazing sound they made!
Me too?
YES THE EAGLES TOO

I can relate to how that makes you feel. I played this song while I’m sitting in a lawn chair at the Cemetery my Uncle Joe is at. He’s a Korean War Vet, never married (Cut the Cake) or had kids. Passed away at 60 years old, then only after that I come to find out his time over there probably influenced his lifestyle & reasons why he never ended up with a family. When this song first came out it was like instantaneously I thought of Uncle Joe.
