    Not even thinking about placement, it takes a lot of courage to go play in a competitive tournament with people who have multiple times more hours in the game than you, not even counting the confidence it takes to run labs twice. So glad to see him grow!

    He did good. First death, I would have prioritized healing thorax instead of cms on leg (grunting while running is client side and no one else hears it) but at 200 hrs I wouldnt expect him to always prioritize healing the chicken nugget above all else.

    • @RamenStyle
      @RamenStyle  Год назад +1

      @@RamenStyle ya making a call in the moment is what it is. I will say I typically stay in that ditch and go for the mechanics garage when I get caught out near the ditch, lateral plays make resetting the aim of the other player harder than straight on or away shots plus you are out of cover for a much shorter duration of a run.

I do believe the urge to keep him moving was a big factor on why he took that route. Also it’s cool to see when we first start we go reserve. Honestly the easiest map to remember and close to always pays out when you survive that map.

    Ramen, I discovered your channel 5 days ago. Some of your vids have helpedme tremendously (5th wipe here).
    You are what I am playing Tarkov, if I was good, and let me explain: I will never be a Veritas/Lvndmark type of player. I play solo. I like to hunt, track, not front facing PvP. You teach how to play your/our style the right way. Even tho I have countless hours in this god forsaken game, just watching your vids, like the tracking one, made me level up instantly. So thanks for that.
    On a side note, Im also a small content creator (diferent account, not related to Tarkov), and I know how infuriating the "you deserve more subs!", "Why this channel has not at least 1M subs" type of comment can be. Im going in a diferent direction: You should be proud of your content. Your attention to detail (E.G: You explaining a flank throughfully, the reason behind the movement, then showing the actuall map) is top notch. I have no doubt your channel is gonna keep growing, getting bigger and fatter, you thicc boi. Looking forward to keep learning with you on the inminent new wipe.

    I just discovered your videos. I absolutely love the way you edit, and present the videos. My first watch was "This Keeps Tarkov Addicting" video and I had no idea it was 40 minutes long, I swore it was a 15 minute video. It was so intense watching both videos. As someone who has just hit 1000 hours in Tarkov, I am still miles away from Zach's skill level. I'm great at keeping more money than I know what to do with but I absolutely suck at PVP. Like Zach I come from a pretty heavy FPS background and have great aim but in EFT I just can't seem to win most fights. I'm happy he was able to be coached by you. I need to start playing with someone more skilled and learn some things. I've been a solo player for 99% of my time played.

    On first death, should've ran through ditch towards garage, lots more cover. Running through backside of crack is a fatal funnel from fort.

    • @RamenStyle
      @RamenStyle  Год назад +1

      Yep thats a fair decision too! Thought about this after as well. Just hard to tell in the moment what the coverage was like. If there was more than 1 covering another angle or something. But yeah, might've been a fair decision

    • @ChildofWar2
      @ChildofWar2 Год назад

      @@RamenStyle at least running towards garage, wether or not there's more people covering angles there, the distance from ditch to cover is way shorter than running back of crack.
      another option could be stay around the ditch (could hide in the grass behind the digger/backhoe machine thingy, surprising amount of people don't look down when passing through there)and be patient enough for the people shooting to either push him or leave, them pushing him is likely to put them at a disadvantage if they've waited a while since it can spark doubt if he even left in first place, but I also get why he wouldn't or shoulnd't have for the sake of time of the tournament.
      anyway first time I come by your channel, I like your vibe, you come across as very calm, supportive when giving advice and not focusing too much on the negatives. good job.

      @@RamenStyle 2nd death, reserve bunker is usually my playground and hardly ever lose any fights there. that said I disagree with it being a good decision to "reposition" as he ended up going back to the original position. this allowed the second guy to push further in and gain better cover and recovering his mates loot.
      the play for me would be either of two, option 1: stay and hold that hallway as the opponent has to push through the water section to get to him which ever way he chooses to go through the water it slows him down considerably and a good nade can get the kill, additionally could pull back a little bit make it sound like he is feinting a reposition and then peak when the opponent is passing through the water to the hallway, either way the opponent is at a disadvantage since your guy has 2 ways to peak from and is in no rush.
      2nd option: this is a bit more risky but satisfying way to go about the underground part. he could run back up through king and into medical to then shoot the guy in the back if he is fast enough. That would be the good repositioning instead of forcing himself into a stalemate.
      People usually forget that you can run back up through the buildings upstairs to gain more ground and reposition for better advantages with the benefit of as soon as you're far enough up there is no directional sound so they won't hear you coming.

    the 14:40 death was caused mainly because he did not heal his thorax, he should have healed his thorax to full before continueing to run away. he already had cover, he already was able to take a moment and heal if he wanted to, but instead he kept running and this got him killed

    Here's a few tips... try to learn about the difference between cover and concealment and how to use it in different situations (like bounding from tree to tree or car to car while keeping in mind what can an can't get shot through and what can brake up you're outline) also try not to pop out against you're background (like standing in infront of a wall or on top of a hilltop or building)... last one, you got a good sense of timing and good reflexes use them to your advantage but don't over reli on them... you did grate don't forget that! and remember no matter how good someone gets there is always room for improvement, so keep it up :)

    Going left of crackhouse is a bad decision when taking shots from fortress. It feels like more cover because you have the wall and a building but fortress has good line of sight in that alley. Going right into the conexes offers more cover and more route options. Just a map knowledge thing that you wouldn't expect 200 hours to have necessarily.
