    Intermittent fasting. Adopting this method of eating helps your body in more ways than one. I do the 16/8 method and plan on doing it for the rest of my life. Obviously you need to eat healthy foods along with this method, but your body will thank you for it

      @@jongalvan761 You can do it. It takes 2-4 weeks for your body to get adjusted but once your get past that, you won't notice the change. I find that drinking tea helps when you feel a little hungry outside your eating window.

    You've patiently answered my questions, I'll gladly help you all I can. In a nutshell, very low carb, intermittent fasting, LOTS of veggies, especially cruciferous. I started at 53, 55 now, down 80lbs. I look, feel, I AM younger & healthier than I have in 15+ years. 32" jeans, 1st time since 10th grade! My knees were so bad, I had become inactive (beyond work requurements). Now, me & the dog walk 5 miles several nights a week, in relative comfort, with hundreds of pushups along the way on a couple of those nights. The change happened before much weight loss; the low carb & IF helps tremendously with inflammation (joints, veins, heart). The advantages go way beyond weight. This is permanent lifestyle now; I'm never going back. I looked at many friends in and somewhat above my age group. So many are on some kind of meds: BP, blood sugar, heart meds, etc. It doesn't have to be this way! (For most of us) Our SAD (Standard American Diet), along with BS advise from AHA, ADA, etc, is killing us! It's bullshit! You've never known anyone more food-centric than me, but it really is easy. I never thought I'd go 8 hours without eating, now I'm 20+ most every day, 32-42 almost every FRI. Don't let that freak you out, it's so easy, otherwise I couldn't have done it. Get ahold of me, I'll walk you through it and answer any questions I can. I can tell you how to start out easily, and how and why it'll work. Besides, I've got more questions for you!

    • @c.j.rogers2422
      @c.j.rogers2422 2 года назад +1

      BTW, I DO NOT starve myself, deprive myself, or suffer in any way. I eat well and I eat a lot! Yes, it takes a little grown-up discipline/self control to eliminate snacking. And yes, there's a few things I miss. But I'm totally satisfied with good the food I eat, foods that old-fashioned "diets" would never allow. The goal behind low-carb and IF is minimizing blood sugar spikes, and extending as much as possible the time between blood sugar spikes. Blood sugar spikes cause insulin dumps, which creates a range of problems. Right now, you have insulin resistance, guaranteed, which means you're on your way to Type-2 Diabetes, even if it's never diagnosed. You can easily fix your insulin resistance. The weight will start disappearing and everything will get better. Reach out to me, brother!

    My knee popped one day and I ended up on the ground. Well it turns out my knee cap had dislocated and went back in. I went to the doctor and they said that when it popped out and went back in it broke a small piece of bone off in my knee and would cause my knee to lockup every now and then. So they had to go in and remove the broken piece

    Don't eat after 7pm. If you use regular sugar like in tea or coffee switch to Splenda. I was at 260 and now down to 228 and trying to get to 190 lbs. It's a lifestyle change as far as little things and processes over a period of a year up to three years depending on age and what and how you plan to eat daily.

    Load Mizer, we have the same issue. My right knee locks up in bed at night. I had surgery in 2012 when I slipped on wet grass, snapped the front muscle from the knee. A screw was use to connect the muscle back. I think that screw, plus my added weight is causing this lockup. Download the video Fat, Sick, and Nearly dead. Watch it, hopefully it will help you through this journey.
