  • Let's unpack the mess inside of the latest video from hotshot Bennii, this is a perfect example of how not to approach any given day in this industry. Fingers crossed and high hopes cannot come close to substituting regular maintenance and continuous visual inspection. There is a lot of bad attitudes toward the hotshot trucking industry and examples like this video are exactly why they exist. Be better.

    This shows the obvious, you can’t please everyone. I will point out just based on feedback that people overwhelmingly agree with what I pointed out in this. Most that don’t agree feel like I’m attacking the individual instead of the actions. That’s a strange perspective to have given the subject matter but to each his own. I’m all about helping people. In this instance the help is for the viewers of the original video and even Bennii himself. Read the comments on the original video. MOST of them don’t even realize the gravity of what they just witnessed because they’re blinded by their opinion of the man. It’s flat out dangerous to create content like that to new and potential drivers out here. They follow his every example because of the bar he’s set by his appearance of massive success. People will replicate his every move, even bad ones if there’s no accountability because if he’s still appearing to be wildly successful then getting shut down and rolling dirty must just be part of the formula right? Hell no

      100% correct! Great education, even Bennii didn’t know, which is scary bc he’s been around for a while and influences many people. But being a big figure, people start to think: “well bennii drives like that so must be OK!” 🙅🏼‍♂️ HELL NO is right! Thanks again for another great video! 🙏🏻 👍🏻

    Thank you for this! I’m also a hotshot car hauler with a 4-car rig. I have the exact same experience as you mentioned with DOT inspections. Every one of his videos show stupid and dangerous issues that he shrugs off as silly little mistakes. Hell, a few videos ago his trailer hub blew up and his wheel went flying off into the median starting a big brush fire. It was played off like “these are things that happen out here”. If you do your pre-trips and proper maintenance they shouldn’t happen.

    One of my tires on my trailer is getting bad should I replace both tires at the same time? Or just that one, thanks

    • @LoadMizer
      @LoadMizer  2 года назад +1

      Depends on the tread depth of the other one. On a single wheel axle if the tread is low on the other side too just change them both. On a dual wheel setup I’d change the tire group on that same side for sure. Like I said it really depends on the tread depth left but if you change a tire on an axle and the other is half tread or less left on it the difference will end up wearing both tires unevenly and you’re doubling the problem. Hope this helped 👍

Plus it's easy for them now to put you out of service and fine you for log violations. Just another way to take people's money. But for the most part it is more LTL anymore than dedicated hot loads. I worked for a company called Vantage Home Health delivering containers of liquid O2 to hospitals and households. We (3 trucks) got stopped almost every day by the PSP DOT officer. He'd let me go every time and we became pretty familiar with each other so I asked him WHY I was always getting stopped. He told me that he had to stop a certain number of HAZMAT trucks every day, and he KNEW our trucks (Vantage) would pass the Level 1 (easy quota fulfillment). So I was put behind on my run to satisfy a quota HE HAD because he knew we wouldn't fail. I did ask him to report the stops though so I could at least get credit for the hassle.

    This is a 4X4 and has a solid front axle which would prohibit the front tires having a camber issue due to weighted rear axle. The typical cause for front tires wearing on the outside with a straight axle is running heavy and doing a lot of turning moving faster than you should be. If the Toe (The only alignment adjustment on this truck unless it the axle was bent in an accident) is not correct it can cause outside wear, but usually the truck will have a vibration that starts at about 30MPH and you cant out run it. No, I think Bennii is hauling very heavy loads and making over speed turns even when parking and backing. I have seen many Dually drivers think because the truck in nimble it's ok to move the truck at a fast pace when backing and parking or even around corners. Your right Load Mizer, Pre-trip should have caught all of this and secured the roads for everyone. This is an example of why Troopers, Police and DOT are hard on Hotshot,because they know these guys try to cut corners and beat the system. Men and Women who follow the rules, spend the money and take the time to be safe pay higher insurance rates because of "Cowboy" Hotshots. So next time someone calls for an insurance quote and they are told $2500, thank Bennii and crew. P.S. I hope Tow Piglet some day gives you your props for your teaching him about the binder of documents. I watched your channel and now my 4 drivers and myself have one on board! I actually suggest to my drivers they follow your channel and Jason's to learn more about their craft. That's right I called it a craft, because it is a profession.

    The impression Benni gives is that it is acceptable to cut corners as a truck driver. Sure, if you don't have a problem with risking your life, risking the life of others, paying more for insurance and setting a really crappy example to all of the young truck drivers that watch your videos. We all run risks in the trucking industry no matter how diligent we are with keeping our equipment up to standard and driving safely. But let me find out that an unsafe driver has taken out someone in my family and I will do everything in my power to ensure they suffer from the consequences they deserve (prison, lawsuit). I have no problems using my in cab camera footage to send to company's or provide to law enforcement if it gets an unsafe driver off the road. Major applauds to you Load Mizer for this video. I have shared it with other trucking buddies of mine. It is truly shocking. And for those of you big rig or hotshot drivers that weren't shocked, you need to find other employment before it is too late.

    Seeing his front tires like that would make me want to get the steering components inspected immediately! The front end doesn’t go out of alignment for no reason, it’s a sign that the ball joints, tie rod ends, ect have worn out of spec causing the misalignment. Forget a blown tire, imagine having a ball joint or tie rod failure while going 70 mph with a 20,000 lb + load behind you.

    • @deezelfairy

      Exactly, any unusual tyre wear like that usually points to an alignment/camber issue.
      Here in the UK we have a habit of wearing the outside edge of the l/h tyres out on vans/commercial vehicles because we have a lot of roundabouts on our roads (driving clockwise round a circle so weight leaning to the left) so if you have any sense you rotate your tyres/wheels from l/h to r/h side to even the wear out/maximise tyre life.

    • @monteclark1115
      @monteclark1115 Год назад

      @@deezelfairy roundabouts have became popular here in the United States in recent years, I’m not a fan of them. It’s hard to use if you are towing a large trailer and most of the older drivers here don’t understand the proper etiquette.
