I love this layout!!
Tengah waterfront will be different. the kitchen wont be open concept..
front door opens into kitchen, a short corridor with the bathroom and the "bomb shelter" facing each other. leading to the Living room/bedroom.
hopefully, i get the larger unit in Tengah waterfront. my plan is to have the kitchen isolated from the rest of the home. that way i can AC the rooms better without worrying about cooking smell.

The bedroom should be a transform room between living and bed rooms.
Sofa too close to TV, bad for eyesight
Mine is 9 ft away..my tv is 55" the best distance for the distance
choose a flat screen smaller TV on the wall.

do you guys know where does the water go with the washing machine? usually my mom collects pails of the water from the washing machine when it's washing, now I'm planning for my future house, feel kinda weird with this washing machine separated from the washroom/toilet area. our house used to be those old school layout.. hmmm.

Hi, anyone knows the ID dat did the murphy bed and overhead shelves design? I rmbr it was cassia design or smth but migjt be wrong. TIA!
i wonder if the sliding door can be removed and the behind wall to be extended.
There’s a beam on top of the sliding door… it will look a bit weird if no wall… but it’s also a nice layout if the bedroom will be bigger without the door.
Good that there is a extra room, can let the maid sleep or make into a study room or in case your guest come for a short stay. ❤

@@dionnelson9919 old already cannot walk well n doesn’t mean two bedder are poor. Sometimes their spouse died n the children don’t stay with them. But the children gave money for a maid.
@@dionnelson9919 I have friends who downgrade to two bedroom apartments. They sold their 5 rooms n still have property overseas.

My advice those applying for BTO , do not accept any flooring job from HDB even by paid using CPF , they gave do bad and unprofessional job to my apart at Casa Spring , the problem was told on Aug 2022 just after I got the unit until now they have not solved until now they even damaged the track for the sliding doors today 16th Mar 2023 when they were removing the vinyl flooring 16 march 2023 I was 100% disappointed with HDB I messaged the project In change HDB Hazel she never answer or message me back.

I bought this 2 flexi type 2 at Tengah.. waiting for the key. Realised that the living room is small compare with other design but have an extra room that i will convert into study room perhaps.

Is it allowable to renovate the house by removing the wall between the master bedroom and the small room?
I think can… you can decide the layout for master bedroom and the small room… you can combine it also.

Is there really that flexible space. In the email i got frm hdb about their road show, there is no sign of the flexible space!
Flexible space mean study area or can put mattress in study area act as a small helper room with built in door

@@JOGK no. Just that in the earlier videos of the 2 room flexi flats it showed a ‘flexible space’. I was so excited. Later the videos didn’t show it. Too good to be true

The space between the TV and the sofa is so small. I wanted a lazy, comfy sofa with a biga$$ TV. But with this layout I cant. Anyone have any ideas how to?? 😭😭 Need ID~~

49 is inclusive of the aircon ledge etc.. actual usage space only 46/47..
this HDB is for dose no baby plaining. Singapore house installment for life 😞
2 room flat is mostly for elderly or single people living 🤔
for elderly retirees n ppl who wants to stay alone.
This is for Family who cannot affords 3room and for singles/elderly. If you want baby to have a room get a 3room flat.

The kitchen is so tiny. The stove is on the edge and there is not much counter space between the stove and sink. Feel so sad for us :(

Not all kitchens are small ..mine actually quite large many told me ..ya i think so too...fridge..washing machine...no problem...mine is long...L shape

Nah. The tv vs couch space is too mush tgt. The old one with the double sided toilet is best. Adequate kitchen space and living space. This open concept gonna fk up the house, cant cook.

No ! toilet with 2 doors is a no no
My mom one has 2 doors .. very inconvenient ..one in the kitchen and one in the bedroom..its ok if the toilet is super big
About the open concept kitchen ..yes its not good .. especially if you do alot of frying 😁

@@dhengdiaries I lazy person. Prefer a 2 seater sofa so that can lie down n watch TV. Anyway, I like the open kitchen concept. Place looks more spacious.

This is only fit for children. A single adult will be too cramped up living here. Legs won't even be able to stretch in hall while watching TV. Dining Table is so close to the Kitchen that the seats and table will get oily after cooking. Main bedroom is also far too cramped up. Is this a joke? HDB should at least provide 2x the space of this showroom for it to be considered adequate especially when it is so costly. This is even smaller than some condos.
