So excited to share this with you guys!
So the video you have pinned here has doom slayer dying in it which can not happen because in the secret lore (sadly it's been completely wiped from everything I could find) which states that he was blessed AND given a very sneaky feat that makes him be able to summon the full power of hell if he is in near state of death (with no 1 ups) of which he could destroy all of any space marines with ease then with that power (I think it was posted 14 days ago but the internet will not say it exists because it's meant to be a secret and was only up on a site which i can not name because it will get me in a shit ton of trouble that requires a master name and password to get into and do ask me how I got it)
Doom guy is doom slayer they just have different armor
Doom guy from the old games killed the most powerful demon in hell with just his bare hands
You should really read the Cannon of Doom rather than going by gameplay this is a No contest Doomslayer wins
Dude the doom slayer's armor is basically indestructible bolster shots and punches are not even going to scratch it
Couple of problems here.
1. The Praetor armor is proof against non hell attacks. When it was discovered by the UAC they used a laser with the heat of the sun to get a sample. Even after several hours of exposure there was not even a scratch. Also the Slayer launched himself with a railgun into the side of a building. He landed on his feet and not only was the armor unharmed but so was he.
2. The DOOM Slayer does not get stamina from demons. Demon energy gives him health, ammo, and further increases his strength. The Slayer has infinite stamina he does not require food, water, oxygen, or rest of any kind. When he fought the titan the fight lasted a decade.
3. To stop the Slayer, the demons collapsed a temple the sized of a city on top of him. This only STUNNED him. It lasted a few moments and was just long enough for them to cast a quick spell to rip him free of his armor and seal them both away. Had he been in full control the spell would not have worked.
4. Tactics are not lost on the Slayer. He simply prefers the quickest solution but can think outside the box when needed. He is a trained marine and he did learn from the Night Sentinels.
Majorkill, check this one here
also Doom Slayer killed a titan without his praetor suit and I am confident that Titans are way more powerful than Space Marines
I kinda want to see how Slayer killed it, that would be an epic battle... Come on Bethesda, make a short cinematic of their battle
@@blob643, simply the Slayer with a barebones sentinel suit (or butt naked if that got destroyed because time and fights), some weapons he collected, and he kept shooting, run n gun, when ammo was out, he just start a fist fight....
A decade later: Slayer won and was ripping the titan huge guts
When you get into the lore, the slayer's ability to absorb and devour the essence of demons to sustain and empower himself means he's similar to the alpha pariah; meaning he would present an existential threat to the ruinous powers themselves, for every demon he kills is a tiny piece of one of the dark gods.

Bwahahahaha. Love it.
@FanTaz1986
6 ft. = 1.83 m iirc

The Doom slayer would hate the imperium due to how they treat their citizens as disposable. You can see how angry he was at the UAC in DOOM 2016.
He'd probably go for chaos first and if that is ever permenantly dealt with he would come for the imperium's higher ups.
@@Usernamesdontmatter1 He would never deal with Chaos because the act of killing them only makes them stronger. I believe he is far more likely to fall victim to chaos, but be under the false idea that he is not corrupted.
@@NoName-fj3pi I mean the lore outright says the doomslayer is incorruptible. There are a few beings and even entire factions that are immune to the corruption of chaos. We also know that warp entities can be devoured or killed permenantly using the right kind of power, but be under the false idea that things are only bleak for anything but chaos. The ruinous powers aren't invincible.
Well , he would go for the Warp , yes , but I don't think he would exactly kill any human , he would more or less try to fix everything like he did in every Doom game.
If I'm being honest , Doomslayer would be able to kill Khorne's demons , no , I'm serious , whatever he slays , he becomes more powerful (as the effect of absolutely taking the souls of the ones he slays , and the power that the soul has/had , even demons are effected by this) , by the time Khorne gains power from all of the hatred across the world , Doomslayer would already be more powerful from killing those demons , and don't get me started on the fact that his powers can't be used against him , even if Doomslayer were to enter Warhammer 40k universe , nobody could take or use his power , even his anger , meaning Khorne wouldn't get more powerful as a result , even though that does sound like utter bullshit
@@djordjepopovic7568 Did you really read the doom lore? He gets more powerfull becouse his armor uses the hell/Argent energy left after the demons are dead (and the hell energy requires souls to be transformed so no, unless you can show proof that the suit can transform souls into energy it can not). The warp entities would not strenghen him becouse they have none of this energy. They are literally emotions, feelings and concepts materialized feeding of the emotions, feelings, concepts and beliefs.

- PLOT TWIST -
The Emperor: ...Dad?
The Doom Slayer is perhaps the one “super solider” whose own canon gives him a cannon big enough to win
I mean, if we go by told qualities of a universes canon, a lot of games and sci fi series beat the IoM, if we go by actually competently written (mostly game series based) achievements, its still a ok chunk that beat marines. Doom marine/BJ2/the beast/Slayer is probably the most super soldier instead of "40k never understood how technology works and had too many bad displays of power compared to good in both books and games to account for it as a fluke instead of standard thus gets ripped a new one"
ANDELE3025 Id say if Halo during ancient times invaded 40k they would win. Forerunners, Precursors, Ancient Humanity, and THE FLOOD against Necrons, Old Ones, Eldar, Orks, and Chaos
@William Smith Depends on which version of the Forerunners. The ones described as gods that have no limitations within the realm of physics or the ones who can't stop space zombies. I hate how conflicting the tech is versus the evidence. (For reference I over simplified the flood to make a point. No matter how smart a grave mind is, it's limited by the pretty low power it's bioforms can display. If the Forerunners were as powerful as described this shouldn't have been a threat to them.)
@William Smith I know all of that. I know every single thing you just said. My point is that if the Forerunners were as powerful as the many claims even everything you just said would be pointless. There would be no consuming of biomass. No life would be absorbed because they could flip a switch or press a button that just annihilates them at an early stage of development. Maybe you don't even realize that simply saying nothing short of the halos can stop them is just repeating something that doesn't make any sense. Why? This is the biggest issue with Halo's lore. I've read dozens of the novels and it's a great setting and a lot of it is very well written, but every time they dig into the power of the forerunners it becomes space magic with no limits, except they still lost to a life form that has a slow build up time and physical limitations. Limitations the Forerunners are not supposed to have.
It's the same reason the didact was a bad villain in the new trilogy. If he was the incredible being he was described as he wouldn't have been beatable. Halo builds up things to such a degree that they become memes. But when it's time to use them in a story it falls apart because you can't tell a compelling story about a race with no limitations.
@William Smith you keep trying to explain this as if you're talking to someone who hasn't read the books. Our disagreement doesn't stem from my being ignorant on the lore. It stems from a common literary mistake that the halo universe suffers from terribly. You can't make the Forerunners out to be as powerful as you do and then have virtually anything be a threat. They can do anything imaginable... Well except build drones that are bullet proof or capable of stopping flood hybrid forms. It's just bad writing. Halo is at its best when it leaves the Forerunners mysterious. The less we know the less there is to pick apart.
"Has no concept of tactics..."
To be fair, he has been trained in two separate militiaries, although he probably doesn't use them against the demons since both of them lost to Hell...
The only tactic that works against hell is one of ferocity, speed and brutality. To kill with extreme prejudice while simply weaving among their innumerable hordes.
When you wield a Double Barreled Shotgun large enough that the real life equivalent is powerful enough to kill rhinoes and literally can't be wielded by hand without killing yourself, and then you always shoot both barrels at the same time (the force being enough to actually destroy your hands, in the hands of a normal person), the man who only wields what is essentially a slow-firing 50 caliber machine gun is a little bitch-tier in comparison.
Considering Doomguy wielded a normal DB Shotgun, shot both barrels and was also fast enough and strong enough that there was no backlash, AND THEN he got the Angel upgrade. An astartes in light power armor could probably do what he did before the Upgrade, but honestly, I've said this plenty.
Doom Slayer is as comparable to a normal Astartes is, as a Primarch is to an Astartes of a completely different chapter/legion. Aka not very for capability.
The weaponry he uses, more or less equates to far more versatile Devastator weaponry, and the guy is so strong that firing them doesn't slow him down and doesn't convey almost any recoil that affects aim.
Also the BFG is so powerful that the orbital cannon equivalent, is literally just an attachment that amplifies and focuses the BFG's already ridiculous power, and Hell itself fears it in his hands.
There probably isn't a weapon in 40K that compares to the BFG, where, in the right hands, Chaos itself shits a collective brick by the mere thought of it.
"Rip and tear until it is done" is really the only tactic Doomguy needs.
@@Slimurgical 950. Caliber*
also, don't forget that the Doom Slayer usually works on his own against overwhelming numbers. So tactics would (in his eyes) probably just be a waste of time
While the Astartes usually works in unison with other Astartes, so tactics are more vital
@@erwinhilgers5574 true ... plus is not like brutality is gonna make demons scared and flee either even the Baron of hell has no sense of self preservation so the Doom slayer just does whats gonna kill them faster , he doesn't strategies bcuz he doesn't need them
I'd like to point out that the UAC did stress tests in the Doomsayer's armor and they couldn't determine it's durability because literally nothing they could do to it did any damage.
This was Slayer vs a loyalist space marine, how much easier would he find a chaos space marine with all their warp corruption etc.?
No two CSM are alike. So it's hard to say. Depends on how the fickle ruinous powers feel.
Yup.. warp corruption can be a boon as much as a curse. For exemple plague marines have all that insane durability, but are rather sluggish compared to loyalist space marines, letting themselves get hit a lot more often than a normal marine would allow. The most gifted make anyone around them feel like they are moving in molasses as a way to further make up for it, but its not something the baseline plague marine has access to.
Overall though, what chaos marines gain in raw power, they tend to lose in sanity, tactics and the quality of their teamwork
Well I'd say it would probably be easier as the slayer might probably be resistant to their daemonic weapons
@@BrotherCairus that's another interesting point to add in, plaguemarines may count as demons and heal DG when he kills them, plague bearers definitely will.

Unless the Doom Slayer has the BFG, there is no way he would survive the caliber of the Bolter for very long. This is coming from a massive doom fan. He gets ripped apart by demons without weapons, so I think a gun would kill him pretty fast. Im new to the Warhammer genre, but I think I have enough knowledge. Doom Slayer's armor is built to survive hell's weapons and plasma, not full on actual projectiles.
well, didnt doomslayer get turned into a god? and doesnt he actually getb stronger with each kill of a demon he does? i would think throwing him in the warp is a horrifying idea as its literally an xp farm for him lol. im not too well versed with 40k so dont take me too seriously, but isnt there a realm in 40k much like hell where it's whole point is constant slaughter for this one god? and wouldnt doomslayer eventually be able to kill said god due to the exponential curve of power increase from an infinite power source for him?
@@m3rasmus Most demon attacks use Argent which is the only thing that can breach his suit. Unless the marines start using Argent infused Bolter rounds they won't do shit.
@@m3rasmus He got shot out of a railgun into a reinforced wall of a building. That aint hell energy chief, that is pure physical damage we talk about. Its hard to judge, because you cant take a games simple difficulty mechanics that makes a game challenging as a test of durability on him or his armor. I doubt that a bolter would do much on his armor, maybe stagger him if he gets completely sprayed. Mind you, it took the demons to collapse a whole fucking city on his ass to merely stun him for just long enough to put a spell on him.
This is so wrong in so many levels.
As a Warhammer fan i can easily say Doomslayer would absolutely demolish any Space Marine with his bare fists alone, while being completely naked.
Fun fact: Doomslayer uses guns because he thinks they are fun and not because he actually needs them.
Yes Space Marines are awesome and extremely potent in their own rights, but they are not on the same level as an being, that rivals deities.
Doomslayer literally killed the Devil/God of his universe and fucked hell by himself.
So what makes people think, that an mere Astartes could even remotely pose a threat to this guy.
You would need the top dogs of the Warhammer Universe, like the Primarchs to even give this guy a proper battle, let alone kill him.
Even Khorne would probaly start sweating, when Doomslayer enters the throne room, while the Emperor would jerk off like crazy to the massarce of the Deamons of the Warp, that the Doomslayer starts by himself.
I think he was talking about the gameplay Slayer and not the lore Slayer
that last statement had me on the floor my guy. top tier
plus in Doom 2016 it is said that no Human Weapon which would probably mean stuff a lot stronger than a Bolter can harm the praetor suit
I swear Doom slayer is just a alternative version of the emperor
Hate to admit it but yes Doom Slayercan easily take down a space marine even few with just his blade and bare hands. Seen too many space marines die easily in the hands of ordinary enemies. Have seen space marines died from single shot and stab. Even the primarchs don't stand a chance. Just compare the enemies they fought and killed, you get the idea.
It should be noted that dodging a BFG shot doesn't really work. At least not normally. Remember that the main projectile is only half of it, the plasma ball shoots out tendrils of Argent plasma at every enemy in line of sight of it. Meaning the only way to avoid a BFG shot is to take cover.
You need to stay out of LOS to the projectile, a marine's armor would give him a decent shot at realizing that in time to survive, but he'll be pretty cooked reguardless.

Astartes aren't the grandsons of a god. At the time they were created, prior to the Emperor's internment on the Golden Throne, he was an extremely powerful Psyker perpetual but he was very much so still human. Thus Astartes are completely mortal, just very heavily augmented super soldiers.
However, the Divinity Machine, as its name implies, actually made the Doomslayer Divinity. In other words a deity or a god. So, even if the Astartes WERE the grandsons of a god that wouldn't mean _shit_ to the Doomslayer since he actually _is_ a god and is not just distantly related to one.

Nerfing himself with guns a myth probably made up by a RUclipsr.
Doom Slayer thinks in practical terms and wants the demons dead as quickly and as efficiently as possible, it wouldn’t make sense for him to have fun when he doesn’t care.
In a developer stream, they stated “YES” to Doom Slayer powering up his firearms in a similar way to the quad damage. Or think of how Dante from Devil May Cry puts energy into his guns. It’s like that.
@@CollegeBallYouknow It's not. The slayer likes guns because he was a marine stationed on Mars who's training revolved around using weapons, like real life marines. After his run through hell and hell on earth, he landed in an alternate universe and was with the night sentinels who used a variety of weapons and mostly unarmed combat. It's stated several times by the lore books, in game archives and even developers that the slayer uses guns only because he likes them. The in game berserker buff where you lose your guns and glory kill 1 shot every demon with your melee attack has been stated by devs to be how strong Canon doom slayer would be, literally bare handedly 1 shotting demons that take several clips and explosives to the face to kill.
@@CollegeBallYouknow that not exactly true, look at when we uses the rage power up. He one shots ANY demon he sees. Even barons of hell, which are a a lot stronger than bloodletters imo. I mean a blood letter is like 8 feet tall and kind of scrawny, when a Baron of hell is 15ish feet and made of pure muscle and hatred. And honestly, their weapons are pretty equal in power. @@JohnDJ08 you obviously don’t know doom lore so let me fill you in. the doom slayer is a primevil, a creation of god who has been around since the dawn of time. the seraphim then bestowed even greater power unto him through use of the divinity machine. he can literally consume dimensions and destroy the multiverse and all of creation if he wanted to. he’s eternal, immortal, unstoppable. the only reason he couldn’t kill the titans is because the titans are also immortal. sealing them is the only option. also he does NOT need argent energy in any capacity to thrive. argent energy is more of a game mechanic than anything else, used to upgrade the slayers suit in doom 2016. it’s not about him “beating the standard space marine”. you could throw 1,000 astartes at him it’s not going to matter. the hell energy used by demons is hotter than the surface of the sun and it bounces off of the doom slayer. that’s not a being warhammer 40k can compete with.
Also Doomguy wouldn't attack a human, unless the human deserved it.
He's human after all
Yes becuase humans don't kill humans. Flawless logic.
@@gabzsy4924 Well, Doomslayer is pretty much just out for revenge, if you don’t know, by the Lore, the reason the doom guy/slayer is killing the demons, is because they killed his pet rabbit Daisy. This man got so angry that he became immortal just because his pet Rabbit died, something else to note, the DOOM games and Wolfenstein games take place in the same time lines, specifically DOOM 3 I know for sure, but this basically means Doom Guy/Slayer had a family member who fought and killed all kinds of Nazis. So knowing this, he does have a military background for sure, and odds are he’d kill a human only if they deserve it.

Trump, somehow, was closer to unifying the planet then anyone except a certain person (Better know his name by my reference.) who goes nuke happy in Civilization due to a bug when he chooses democracy, I was born in 2002. . . Even still I know that for a fact, even before I was born long there was always a war going on, sure World War One ended, but right after world war 2 started, sure it ended, but right after, the Cold War, after that, Vietnam, and so on. . . All I’ve ever known within my life span is war. . . It was one of the things that was included in the “Death, taxes, and (Insert thing here) are always certain in life” jokes for me. But once Trump came, I didn’t hear about any wars starting, infact wars had started to end, countries like North Korea who were constantly testing nukes and threatening to blow up people stopped with the threats, there was more peace then ever, and how did the Democrats react? They called Trump Hitler, they said “He’s gonna start world war 3!” They did everything they could to get him out of office. . . And all the while my family who under the Democrats rule, we were constantly moving in and out of houses, before being forced to live with my grandmother, things were hard, when Trump came in prices on things started to drop, we could actually afford things, things seemed great, but. . . Then the pandemic hit, Trump had done so much good, only for him to be forced to be put the country on lock down, did this stop him from trying to still help the country? No. Instead he said “Anyone capable of it, work on a cure, who ever can make a working vaccine first, I’ll pay you how ever much you want, just get the vaccine made ASAP.” He was having companies with the parts for ventilators who weren’t making money, he told them to start making ventilators and he’d pay them in return, just start mass producing them, he had even sent a naval vessel to New York to act as a extra hospital for COVID patients. . . But what do the democrats do? Do they unite, and try to help him? No. Of course not, he’s Republican, he’s views don’t align with what they want. They fought him every step of the way, tried to prevent him from getting anything done, they did it ever since he was elected, and the riots? He had so much thrown at him at once, he had to deal with the virus, deal with the riots, he was getting harassed by democrats 24/7, and he still kept trying to serve the people, not the government, not himself, but the citizens. He even made sure that the children at the border, he made sure they’d be taught, kept safe, fed, and eventually reunited with they’re parents, all while this was happening, and when he got infected by the virus what did he do? He refused to show weakness, instead of taking advice to get himself treated, he stood strong, to ensure the country remained safe, how did democrats respond when they learned he was infected? “Good I hope he dies!” That was one of the many democrats who hoped he would die. And yet Trump survived. . . But he didn’t get re-elected. Biden has, and already, prices have risen again, 2 wars have already started again, one of which Biden’s considered getting us involved in against Russia, and Chinas threaten to invade Taiwan, Japan coming to Taiwan’s defense. . . What are the democrats saying? Nothing, they’re praising Biden! Just goes to show how bad things are in life at times. And how we won’t ever be united as a species.

See, this one is a bit confusing. Because there's TWO dead titans, apparently killed by him--one in Titan's Realm in 2016, and the other in Taras Nabad in Eternal. The codex entries make it seem like they're supposed to be the same one, but that's unsure. The one in Taras Nabad was definitely killed AFTER he got his powers from the Seraphim, the Titan appearing being the very reason the Seraphim used such a desperate measure.
The Slayer Testament in 2016 MIGHT line up to the story in Eternal, but it also might be another one. It's entirely possible that the Slayer killed another titan before he arrived in Argent D'Nur, or after being betrayed and trapped in Hell by the Deag Priests.

He could actually destroy the emperors presence within the warp and all four chaos gods. He's so overpowered that he even puts mui goku to shame.
Hypothetically if Doom Slayer suddenly just teleported into 40K universe, he could channel all Chaos god simultaneously without being corrupted at all. In 40K universe Doom Slayer would be potentially even stronger than in his own universe due to all of the death across the setting.
Mortal weapons can't even hurt him, so he could easily just drop down to Holy Terra, walk the hallways of the Imperial Palace while pimp slapping the Custodes from his way to the Golden throne where he would toss the emperor to the corner and take a seat.
There's lore that says the Doomslayer spent "eons" in hell fighting demons without eat, sleep, or repairs. I know there are some Primarchs with similar energy, but they couldn't single handedly storm a chaos-god's dimension, kick in the door and split their skull with one hand.

Never before have there existed words that were more true than this...
Doomguy was extremely nerfed here, we all know that it would be over in an instant if the space marine heard the music.
He was nerfed because of cinematic purposes. Here's a few issues I've noted. Doom guy, despite his rage, does still have martial training, and while he may be immune to demonic weapons... It's also proven that he is highly resistant to normal firearms, considering the demonic marines that he has to kill not blowing his armor off. Those, were human firearms. And yet, little damage. Second, putting a space marine at "strongest strength" without considering their average cannon means giving them the plot armor some less popular writers wrote. Plot armor up the arse, in other words. The metal that makes up their armor is also, quite aptly, torn apart by their own weaponry. I'd figure that doom slayers arsenal, being both from a futuristic earth, and the BFG quite literally capable of reducing larger foes to splatter, as well as, well, hitting them behind cover as long as it can reach out by arc, would have hit just as hard as a boltor, rather than a god damn peashooter. simply removing the one hit wonder, the bfg, from the equation would actually balance the encounter. Another thing to note, is the Marine holding up against strikes four times his own theoretical maximum strength. His arm would have been, well, fucked, much earlier from trading blows like that, and at most, a parry was possible. Not to mention the quality of power swords versus a crucible. The later, having slayed creatures that make arch angels worry. The former, sometimes failing to hurt one infernal boi. Sure, the former has more charge, but considering its output, it's safe to say the higher density weapon would cleave through it like butter pretty aptly. And as much as I love the bait that the marine pulled... When did that ever happen in warhammer? For the 'genius level intellect' of the marines, they hardly ever seem to use strategy... Especially in singular combat. Cover, sure, but that is hardly genius in streagem or planning. Not to mention, explosions would make quick work of cover. Making the concept of a marine taking cover well... Pointless. As an added note, how the hell do you 'dodge' something you can see whilst behind cover? You can argue he looked over, be you never aim the BFG directly at anything anywho. The marine would assume the guy missed. But, I digress, this is an internet debate, and I'm getting dick hurt over this.

@@damienmccuinn1956 it's not just the suit, it's also the power the seraphim gave him. The Khan Makyr specifically addressed him as "you, once a mortal", clearly stating in no uncertain terms that he isn't one any longer. Of course, immortal doesn't necessarily mean invulnerable, but he has proven time and again that he's able to take a hell of a lot of punishment and shrug it off like it's nothing. The demons couldn't even kill him without his armour.
Frankly, the Doom slayer is ridiculously strong and tough, as well as a fully trained marine, and then trained all over again by the night sentinels (the thing about him having no tactics is ridiculous). Are there things that can match him in the 40k universe? Obviously. But not one standard space marine. Mind you, the entire fight's a huge stretch anyway since the Doom slayer isn't hostile to humans and isn't stupid enough not to recognise one. They'd charge at the daemons of the warp side by side and rip and tear like the bosses they are.
You really think a space marine can hold his own against a guy who literally beat a Titan bigger than skyscraper to a pulp with his bare hands? Also, the space marine sword cannot parry the crucible, Doomguy can literally just slice through the space marine’s sword.
No and yes the sword of the space Marines are a funny Thing but the sword of the doom Slayer too so it could be possible that this could be a normal sword fight

@@lonestar6709 Are you really comparing gameplay to lore?
@@lonestar6709 In gameplay maybe. In the lore The praetor suit was never penetrated even under test conditions. The reason why doom slayer makes these fights unfun if you take his lore context is he is in canon invincible. He's immortal and doesn't stop. These 1v1s are a pretty weighted scale when one side can't actually lose. I wouldn't say he's unstoppable, he's been stopped, but it took a fair bit of effort and coordination with a lot of demons and a bit of magic. Even then though it didn't kill him.
@@lonestar6709 The other guys already said it- but it's dumb to try to use the gameplay as your argument, after all, the Doom Slayer has to be weakened in the game or else the game wouldn't be challenging. After all, what type of challenge would the gameplay be if the enemies couldn't damage you?
My original comment stated that slayer was a dangerous foe that could got toe to toe with the strongest space marines. But after *the ancient gods* DLC i have amended my comment. Just for context, I originally posted this comment as a reply to another comment, but I thought it would be worth posting as its own comment so more people would see it since there seems to be a LOT of people who are SEVERELY underestimating just how unbelievably dangerous the Doom Slayer really is.
He survived Vega's core exploding which opened a portal to Hell and was a far bigger and more powerful explosion. From what I understand, those grenades do something similar but instead of sending you to Hell they send you to the Warp. He would shrug that off like nothing and be pissed that he was suddenly somewhere else without any prior warning.
Also, cannonically speaking he is unkillable and his armor is indestructible. The first bit of evidence for his armor is that the UAC used a laser as hot as the sun on it for hours but it was completely unharmed. The second bit of evidence for not just his armor but himself as well is the fact that in Doom Eternal, he literally shoots himself out of a rail gun (meaning a LOT faster then a standard bullet) through space (meaning there was little to no atmosphere to slow him down in any way shape or form) and punched through the side of a ship and both he and his armor were in perfect condition.
I don't know about you but I'm pretty sure that neither a Space Marine nor their armor could survive being shot out of a rail gun and into the side of a ship without taking quite a bit of damage.
As for the Doomslayer himself well...
I have already said this as a reply to another reply on a different comment on this video but I'll copy and paste it here.
Two words: Divinity machine.
Now, with those two words out of the way, let me explain exactly what they mean and why they are relevant. As its name would imply, that machine granted him divinity. That means that he is either a God, assuming it made him fully divine, or a Demigod, assuming it made him only half divine. Certain things seem to imply that he's a full on God rather than a demigod, but I'll get to that later. Either way, he's effectively immortal and his armor is effectively indestructible.
However, that doesn't mean he's invincible. He has been "beaten" before, when he had a massive temple dropped on his head stunning him long enough that the demons could strip him of his armor and throw him into a cursed sarcophagus.
Another thing to note is that when his sarcophagus was opened up by the UAC in Doom 2016, he did not wake up immediately. He was still unconscious or in stasis for at _least_ a few seconds before waking up and immediately breaking the chains that were binding him to his sarcophagus. Otherwise at the very beginning of Doom (2016) we would have watched a cutscene starting with the lid of the sarcophagus being opened rather then him waking up with it already open.
As such, the demons would have had time to open the sarcophagus and unleash a massive attack in an attempt to destroy him before he actually woke up. The fact that they COULD NOT kill him despite having him trapped in that sarcophagus goes to show how far his immortality extends. If they could have killed him then they sure as "Hell" would have, but they didn't which is highly indicative of the fact that they literally _couldn't_ kill him no matter what they threw at him.
Another thing to note is that there are apparently actual _Gods_ of Hell, meaning that even literal Gods were completely incapable of killing him, suggesting that the Divinity Machine probably made him quite a bit more then _just_ a demigod, thus implying that he himself is a full on God who is at bare _minimum_ on par with the Dark Gods of Hell. Plus, in Doom Eternal apparently people start worshiping him as a God and form a religion of sorts dedicated to him.
This all means that while he very much so _can_ be defeated, he very much so can not be killed.
Also, to the idiots saying that either he or his armor can be damaged by Argent Energy, just stop. You clearly have no idea what you are talking about. It's very clearly stated in the Codex that his armor *ABSORBES* Argent Energy to empower the Slayer even further, not that it is damaged by it! The Praetor Suit being damaged by Argent Energy would be completely contradictory according to the canonical ability to *ABSORBE* it! Throwing Argent Energy at the Doom Slayer would just make him stronger not hurt him! Stop being stupid!
Furthermore the same could be said about psykers and their abilities. This is because Argent Energy is essentially just people's souls and in W40k people's souls are made up of Warp energy which is what Psykers use for pretty much everything. As such Argent Energy and Warp Energy are effectively direct equivalents to eachother, meaning that the Praetor Suit would absorb the Warp Energy of any abilities a psyker could ever use on him just like it absorbs Argent Energy. Thus Psyker abilities would just make him stronger due to his and his armor's canonical abilities! Thus he is immune to psykers!
Cannonically it is also DIRECTLY STATED in the Slayer Testaments that he's also completely *incorruptible* so no he would never fall to Khorn, Nurgal, Slaneesh, nor Tzeentch either!
Furthermore, in Doom Eternal it is directly stated that as it grows stronger the Icon of Sin becomes not just a planetary threat, nor is it even a galactic threat, but it is a *universal* threat, which is something that absolutely NOTHING in Warhammer 40k can match. Everything there is just Galactic level at worst. Not to mention the fact that there are litteral GODS of Hell that are supposed to be more powerful than the Icon of Sin but *STILL* couldn't kill the Doom Slayer when he was trapped unconscious in a fucking Sarcophagus for who the fuck knows how long!
Continuing on that note, while we don't fight the Icon at its maximum capabilities, I personally believe that it is safe to assume that it is at least somewhere around city to continental level during the boss fight. However, due to Doom Eternal's gameplay format ID Software probably couldn't accurately display its power without resorting to the Doom Slayer fighting it in a cutscene or something which would have sucked all the fun out of it, thus they nerfed it for gameplay reasons. Developers do the exact same crap in other games! In God of War for example, they sure as Hell don't portray Kratos or any of the other Gods in a way that is accurate to their cannon abilities, so don't give me _any_ crap about grasping at straws or making excuses.
Either way, cannonically speaking in the lore, while he may not have any magical powers that we know of, the Doom Slayer is an unkillable God who can fight skyscraper sized Titan demons with nothing but a sword, a shield, and his classic armor and not just win, but rip them to pieces, as we can clearly see from the Slayer Testaments and the Titan's corpse in Doom (2016)!
Oh, and let's not forget that the BFG 10,000 was the POWER SOURCE of the cannon that shot a hole straight through to the core of Mars, which we see firing off into space dozens of times before we actually reach it. That means it either contains or is capable of PRODUCING enough energy to blow holes into the cores of planets not just once but multiple times.
Since the BFG 10,000 is the POWER SOURCE the larger cannon is probably only needed to focus the energy produced by the BFG 10,000 so it doesn't actually destroy itself and whoever is using it whenever it fires at maximum capacity. As such, it's limited ammo in the game has to be just gameplay mechanics as it should be fully capable of shooting hundreds of millions of those little green spheres it fires AT BARE MINIMUM before it starts getting even close to running out of energy, meaning it effectively has unlimited ammo. Further more, a single direct hit from the projectile it fires should completely obliterate a Space Marine, and he should be able to fire who the fuck knows how many!
Tl;dr A single Space Marine would be completely destroyed in a fight against the Doom Slayer, and that's all there is to it. Period. End of fucking story.

i hope u realize the doom slayer is essentially angry jesus. its actually quite comical how stupidly powerful the doom slayer is in lore and this video really nerfs him a ton. i love 40k and doom, but the doom slayer would make legions of astartes his bitches with how hilariously powerful he and his weapons are. think about it like this: he killed a titan, which could probably give a knight from 40k a run for its money, without his armor, and just the crucible. now what would he do against an astartes WITH all his weapons and armor. i mean as far as we know, in lore, he cannot die, as he fought literally nonstop for 10 years and wasnt even harmed when he was completely incapacitated at the mercy of hell and heaven.
Ravenlord4711 on top of that the doom slayer alone made hell desperate, the realm that conquers universes to add to the demonic horde became desperate, just imagine the amount of enemies he killed, years of experience and training from the knight sentinels, and given the power of the divinity machine, the machine capable of seeing the future and the doom slayer has its power, possibly making him a demigod or an actual god, plus the demonic crucible is pure untamed argent energy, it would absolutely destroy almost every blade the 40k universe has because remember how argent energy can power entire city blocks and would go straight through the astartes blade

Pretty good take, however, you seemed to ignore the Doomslayer's massively superior strength when they began their duel/brawl. You also ignored the Doomslayer's vast experience by saying the SM was unlike any foe he'd faced, which I beg to differ. Even though the Doomslayer hasn't faced SMs before, he has fought against plenty of ranged, and close ranged foes nearly nonstop for thousands of years, and Demon's are not always mindless.
Also, haven't the fireballs/fire attacks of Doom demons been calculated to be as hot as the surface of the sun? I think it's somewhat dishonest conjecture to assume the reason Doomslayer can withstand that kind of firepower is because of specific hell resistance that doesn't apply in any other scenario. It feels cheap and more than a little biased. Not to mentiom, the Doomslayer has much better feats for strength considering he was able to break the unknown metal chains in the first game, after being sealed away for a tremendous amount of time. Not to mention the fact that the Doomslayer was able to kill a titan without his gear, I'm pretty sure that's a feat no space marine, save a chapter master or top tier librarian could manage. Of course, I realize you could interpret these feats as outliers due to gameplay being somewhat inconsistent in comparison, but that just comes with the territory of comparing a game to a tabletop/books.
I wouldn't say i ignored his strength at all - he blocked a two handed downward swipe from the Space Marines Power Sword with only one hand on his blade plus the sword fight had actually broken the bones in the space marines hand
@@majorkill ah I hadn't heard the broken bone part. The blocking scene seemed to be the only instance where the Doomslayer was able to demonstrate his superior strength. A good example is when the SM picked the Doomslayer up, which makes some sense because he may be lighter, but the Doomslayer does nothing, he just lets the SM pick him up and ragdoll him. More likely is that would've turned into a wrestle of sorts, which the Doomslayer would've handily won. Anyways, I still stand by my other points. It was a good video though.
@@majorkill, the issue is the armor imo, UAC made tests, one which was using a laser cannon with laser temperature reaching core of sun temperatures (that's very hot) for hours, the suit didn't have a scratch...
Plus it should be noted that the Slayer is more of a Run n Gun person, he can tank a few hits, but he prefers to keep hits to a minimum and use his experience with shooting on the move to hit his foes or keep them suppressed...
Should be noted that no demon was strong enough to stun or daze the Slayerz he only got a brief Stun period when the demons dropped a temple the size of a large city on top of him (that's heavy enough to put him close to some middle tier high end superheroes), so it's doubtful an Astartes punch would be strong enough to get the Slayer to flinch
@@andrehashimoto8056 It's silly to compare WH40K where stuff is OP but everything is OP, and everyone has a weakness, and than doomguy who is "incorruptible" and has "invincible" armor (except the 3 things from his lore that can hurt him).. it's a stupid debate from the beginning, it's like trying to debate Doomguy vs Dr. Manhattan from Watchman who can twist time and reality in any way and could disintegrate Doomguy on a molecular level with a mere thought. Things from different universes shouldn't be debated unless they're built in a similar fashion, and this is not it.
Space marines are super soldiers but in no way the "heroes" of the WH40k universe as they are largely expendable and are used as a tool of the Imperium, some make it to legendary status via plot but most are no names who get murked, while Doomguy is the main protagonist/hero that fights hell and succeeds in the lore and that's why he has to have plot armor that he is so and so.
Even if you compared Doomguy from someone who could be considered important in the lore for WH40K, for example the Primarch Vulkan, who can't be killed no matter how bad you mutilate/disintegrate him (since he is a Perpetual being), you just get another stupid debate as they're simply not meant to exist in the same universe.

@@95goa >It's silly to compare WH40K where stuff is OP but everything is OP, and everyone has a weakness, and than doomguy who is "incorruptible"
Except it's not. The entire Malodrax book was exactly about the tests of a Space Marine's will and how indomitable it is against forces of temptation, exactly like Doomguy against the forces of Hell for a thousand years. The comparison is entirely apt to make.
Additionally, the Praetor suit isn't actually impenetrable, but it is supported by an energy field to dissipate plasma (which may or may not also factor against pure physical trauma) and is obviously very resistant to anything a-la ceramite but far more consistent, if the impact compensation system and stress tests the UAC did are anything to go by (and despite what Mr. Hashimoto said, the UAC did not, in fact, use a laser against the suit, otherwise it would be ruined before Doomguy got to wear it. I can not imagine where he got that from).
>[Space Marine's] are largely expendable
No. Besides a scant few stories, Space Marine casualties never exceed a dozen, and very rarely reach that number. Hell, they haven't been expendable since the Codex Astartes went into print.
>while Doomguy is the main protagonist/hero that fights hell and succeeds in the lore and that's why he has to have plot armor
Like Space Marines aren't the main protagonists of their own stories? Like there even _is_ a coherent, overarching story in 40k with clear, definable actors and a protagonist who you can pit against Doom Slayer? Because there sure as Hell isn't, and even if you tried the closest you'd get is the gods of bullfuckery or God-Emperor Trump. You're being arbitrary about what qualifies a character to be pitted against another in meta-fictional death battles, when in fact anything goes: be it GM's against Gunbuster, Doctor Doom vs Doomguy or even a Ceph grunt facing a whole Space Marine company.
>WH40K got it's own rules and beings, Doom has it's own, both are cool, leave it at that.
You severely underestimate the powers of autistic power scaling, and even so that's not a suitable argument as to why the two shouldn't be compared. That's like saying we shouldn't compare Dragon Ball to Naruto because the average Dragon Ball character can destroy planets on their own, on a whim, no questions asked, while the most Naruto has done is blow up a mountain.
You wrote the title wrong let me correct it for you “can a space marine survive the doom slayer”
While I find it cool that he did the math going by feats and lore, the DS canonically killed a being that warps universes, summons black holes, meteors, etc and actual gods. A standard space marine is jack against that. Also survived being blasted out of an orbital cannon, a weapon compare to a nuke and having meteors dropped on him without being phased.
And he didn't need demonic energy to do so. Also, saying he had not tactical prowess makes no sense considering he was the head general of the Knight Sentinels, which requires such a mind. Not to mention he was also a Seargent in the Military which in their world is like a century or more beyond our current. He was both considered a deadly tactician and monstrous force.
Also, he's not short lmao. He towers everyone he comes across and according to the Canon is 6'8? I believe? That's almost 7 feet so their height isn't far off.
He also killed the titan with his bare hands and no suit, meaning none of the weapons the Marine has would really bother him. And even then his suit was able to tolerate the heat of a star after years if no power being in it.
Kinda felt like blatant fanboyism in regards to war hammer suggesting they'd have much of a chance let alone not get ripped in two by The Slayer. The guy can walk through nukes, withstand having trillions of tons if not more dropped on him and only stagger, and handle forces capable of cracking planets.
There's no way in Hell a standard Space Marine stands a chance beyond more than the first few seconds.
And now the Doomslayer literally punched the Seraphim, *GOD'S SERVANT* to near death.

here's the thing, the Doom marine is supposed to be player's extension in the game. he is as powerful as a character can be, and not meant for his feats to be taken literally, all the weakness are just meant for the game to be balanced. It's like when people try to make "Would Saitama be able to defeat X" from One Punch Man, He is meant to be unbeatable and a parody of the superhero trope, and I think the same applies to the Doom marine. The devs designed him to be unbeatable in the story to give the ultimate power fantasy.
Indeed. He was quite literally meant to be an unbeatable killing machine, able to accomplish any feat the game requires regardless of situation or opponent.
Meanwhile, standard space marines are simply something the Imperium needs to not get their asses instantly kicked by literally every other species. Space marines do not compare and easily die to millions of things in the 40k universe, they are simply meant to be supersoldiers. Doom slayer is meant to be a vessel for the player, unkillable in nature (in the sense of reaching the end of the story. In the timeline that he makes it, there aren't any restarts or respawns, he makes it in one go)
So transfer that into the 40K universe and doom slayer would basically just eventually be unleashed on the warp either by the imperium to minimise chaos's physical presence or by a certain chaos god that feeds off of conflict, turning doom slayer into a battery. grey knights are 9 ft tall and they are psykers i dont think he is so perfect but he will settle for space midgets xd
@Benjyy X Any gray knight would annihilate the doom slayer. They are psykers after all.
Demons: it’s over! He’s dying! It’s finally over!
Daemonette: imma taunt him in glory kill range!
Demons: wut
Demons: aight imma head out your own this time
Space Marine: *has a Armor that is not penetrable by legit anything known to the Warhammer Universe*
Doom Slayer: *laughs in Crucible Sword*
Not exactly but kinda... no normal man can kill break them but other astartes and other things have been known to do this
Are we forgetting how he just easily strips the armor of a heavily armored Cyber Mancubus with just one punch?
@@antondavidovic3996 true i also think that the doom slayer could rip atleast some parts out considering that he just ripped off a horn from a demon which was (its too long ago to remember correctly) approx the same size as himself after he "just" woke up
@@sammarino7357 ik i exaggerated on that one
@@Azriel4789 You talking about the Baron of Hell? That thing is way bigger than the Slayer i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/001/300/518/f19.jpg
The doom slayer is so powerful he gets his own boss music.
The space marine would have a flaming meathook embedded in his chest followed by a SSG ballista combo faster than you can say “heresy!”
Just gonna put this here:
Doom Slayer outsmarted, out-fought, out-lasted, out-maneuvered, and out-gunned literally everything in his universe... Before he even MET the Sentinels. He, a human, literally EXILED himself TO HELL before even the GODS OF THE UNIVERSE knew it existed and then continued to LIVE and THRIVE there for MILLENNIA annihilating everything in his past with a blind thirst for rage before he was finally discovered battered up but STILL FRIGGIN FIGHTIN. ALL THAT BEFORE DOOM ETERNAL EVEN STARTS, before he even gets GOD powers. Christ almighty the fuckin' man was just Deadpool for masochists/sadists! And then, AND THEN, he is given the powers of immortality by who I can only assume was someone secretly above even the gods of his universe, at which point he continues to BLAST HIS INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY TWENTY NEW ASSHOLES.
The dudes power most certainly would carry over to Warhammer 40k's universe AND intellectual property, even if his tech wouldn't. He could literally fight any average Astartes in nothing but a cotton headband with his MASSIVE MARINE WRECKINGBALLS hanging out and annihilate them completely. Even the God Emperor wasn't fully immortal to be fair, meaning that technically he's on slightly uneven ground (even if I think that a battle like that would be FAR too complicated to ever properly understand.
But I think we're all missing the real point here. Slayer's innate immortality and abilities carry over, but his tech does not (aside from those with ammunition/energy that he could build himself). You know what this means, right?
Our boy, Primearch Slayer, clad in CUSTOM POWER-ARMOR and gifted the ability to use it, wielding his VERY OWN chainsword and equipped with anything he wants to store in his pocket dimension. Bolter? He'll have it. Lasgun? Heavy Flamer? Check. TURBOLASER FUCKIN' DESTRUCTOR? He'll be whipping that bad boy out like a squeeze-bottle of ketchup at the hot-dog stand!
Best part, since technically the humans aren't really arguing against the inquisitors (aside from heretics) Slayer is probably just gonna suit up and ride off into the warp to wage infinite war for them anyway! Win/Win. What a wonderful crossover that would be.
Need me a Doom Slayer clad in terminator armor ASAP
If you add up all your caps words you get ILLUMINATI CONFIRMED
Oat lord delete that right now before I make your house disappear 👽
asian lee He’s still gonna haul a fuck TLD around I guarantee it. Shock value 🤣
asian lee “Well... That’s one spicy Chaos Ship now.”
Doomslayer is at least Sanguinius level, he took out his universes equiv of a titan in close quarters combat. And his universes equiv of a titan is actually a lot bigger than 40ks titans, which is saying something.
Very much depends on the titan we're talking about though, an emperor class would clap hell titan cheeks for days... millennia even
Err not at all Sanguinius' equivalent unless you have feats for him throwing hundreds of tonnes like cardboard and flying faster than the speed of sound and seeing laser move in slow motion
Not just any titan, the most powerful titan in hell, which is an infinite dimension.
This is just difficult to say, sure he killed an being that is basicly the devil, but hell in Doom and Hell (warp) in 40k is very different. If you are going just by feats everyone has then no his not Sanguinius level. He can probably be at that level if a writer wrote him to be but his not at that level by any means because the demons in DOOM are not all that scary compared to Demons in 40k which by lore literally regenerates or can not be hurt by physcial/plasma weapons. Demons in doom are just another physical being that can bleed. I think we should not compare people, Doom guy is a bad ass in his universe, and space marines are bad asses in their universe.
well bigger does not mean stronger)
I like to think that if they meet somewhere in warp they probably nod to one a other and continue killing demons together
Imagine if all the primarchs and the doomsayer decided to team up and start a murder competition...
Darth pal Palzang
Khorne would love it.
@@darthpalpalzang7914 if that would be the case , Doomslayer would just sent them all back and kill demons alone , fuck that shit , all power for him to take down Khorne.
