Bought my A45s 4 months ago and it still brings a smile to my face everyday. The comfort seats ARE indeed comfortable! In terms of the overall package, (daily usability, performance, tech) it trumps it's rivals quite easily.
I owned a 2021 CLA 45 for the last 3 years until I traded it for a 2025 CLE (in the pipeline for production) My CLA had the Renntech engine mapping that boosted things to 456 HP and 384 LB-FT. It was so insane but in the end, the whole car was just too hardcore for my needs and tastes. Excellent review guys!
B58 in an M240i or M340i is: 1. Cheaper 2. More reliable. 3. More tuning potential. 4. Provides better fuel economy. 5. Sounds much better. That being said, 416hp from a 2 liter 4cylinder off the showroom floor is wild.

That is indeed the ECU stuck to the top of the air Intake box. I have the GLA45 version of this and the ECU placement makes changing the air filter a pain in the ass!
Just took delivery of mine on Saturday! In black with the aero plus pack. It’s a little supercar and by far one of the most exciting products Mercedes makes, at ANY price point. The sound it makes is genuinely incredible. The little engine that could 🥹

As the driver of the car in the MBUSA video, I can assure you we didn't change tires or adjust tire pressures. It was pouring rain when we arrived at the track and filmed. Several hours later it had dried up and was sunny so we reshot everything we previously filmed in the rain. Tough day at the office 😂

audi dealers are saying the RS3 is launching in Canada around May this year so hopefully we will get a review between now and then. I think we are getting the Golf R refresh around then as well with the updated/less shitty infotainment and some other changes. Much more interested in those, personally. This is just too much money. They might be good value used after a few years of depreciation, though.
In terms of the bucket seats, I notice that those with full leather say they’re comfortable, but those with the alcantara says the seats are hard and stiff. I’m guessing it’s the material and the stuffing inside the different seats? And the reason why I say this is because I have sat in the alcantara normal seats and they were hard and stiff too, and ive seen people with those seats saying the same thing. Perhaps it’s a difference in materials, not the seat style itself, given that these seats were in the old C63, AMG GT, etc, and nobody ever complained.
I still have my 2015 Audi S3 Prestige (2.0 liter turbo) that I bought in 2018 with about 15K miles on it. I paid $28K for it, immediately upgraded the intake, engine hardware & Stage 2+ tune, exhaust, transmission hardware & tune, suspension, brakes, minor appearance stuff, etc. for about $7K in parts and tuning costs (I did all the work). So, I was all in at about $35K for a great handling and braking car with 400+ HP which does 0-60 in the low 3's, etc. It currently has about 56K miles on it now, and it has been a problem-free dream for every one of the 6+ years I've owned it. I'm not implying that it's the best car in the world, but it definitely makes me think that spending $80K+ for a new CLA 45s is ludicrous.
Dont hammer it when the engine is cold, maintain it Well and give it the beans from time to time. It will last a long time. In my country this is regarded as a reliable amg (engine wise I mean).

never found the appeal of the cla, cle, or cls in any nature, but its definitely growing on me if you want something light, fast, and practical. idk about how much it would be compared to other manufacturers
0 to 60 3.6 sec ... plenty quick off the line. The dual clutch and gearing on this car is as good as any. Very fun car to drive. They are right about seats. Get the standard seats ... far more comfortable.
I have an EU 2024 CLA45S and I'm 44. This car is far from being uncomfortable to drive, truth to be told I have the standard seats that are much comfy than the AMG performance ones but not even once me nor my wife thought the ride was too firm or hurting your back. Coming from a GLC43 AMG we thought this car would be much more uncomfortable to drive but we're happy we were so wrong. Huge plus, my daughter loves race start!
The GLC43 AMG has poor ride quality, so I don't think it's a good comparison. I think the reason you believe the it's not uncomfortable is because you're not used to comfortable, lol

Hi, I'm from south korea and I’ve put down deposits on both models and I’m still undecided. The CLA 45 S is available for immediate delivery, but I’m waiting for the matte grey one that’s arriving in March. The RS3, on the other hand, probably won’t be here until the end of the year. I’ve already test-driven the CLA 45 S since there’s a demo car available, but there are no RS3 units on display or for test drives here in Korea. That makes the decision even harder. If you were in my shoes, which one would you guys go for? The base price of the CLA 45 S is ₩88,800,000, but with the matte gray finish and red pepper seats, it comes to ₩94,300,000. In U.S. dollars, that’s approximately $65,400. As for the RS3, I don’t know the current price yet. Last year’s model was ₩77,700,000, which is about $53,900, but I can’t estimate how much the facelifted model’s price has increased this year.
It’s a shame that the front seats are so uncomfortable for the short period of time both of you have spent in the car. That is going to be a deal breaker given that this vehicle will be a daily driver for the purchaser.
The 2026 CLA is going to a 1.5 liter hybrid for the base engine but I imagine they will carry over this engine. Interesting is the CLA EV will have 375 horsepower which I imagine will make it pretty fast.
I traded in a cla 45 2023 for an ftype r75. I enjoyed the cla for a while, but I grew out of it- the speaker droning is annoying even on its lowest mode. After driving the ftype I understand what the amg speaker theatrics is trying to replicate.
I was waiting for yall to say it wasn’t a comfortable car. Other reviews have said the same. CLA 35 is better from what I’ve seen. It’s the goldilocks version. Entry is the CLA 250 I believe.
i have this car. The only thing i don't like about it is when you are playing music, it's hard to listen to your music. The engine/exhaust just over powers the music. I just wish the car was insulated better.
AMG CLA 45s is the best use of a 2.0L engine that Marcedes has done, and looks quite good too :) But for me, the king of this super hothatch class is still AUDI RS3 Saloon ;)

Both engines bays are filled with plastic garbage fittings used for various components

This car is extremely quick and throttle response is so good. Never had so much fun shifting an automatic. This dual clutch is one of the best.
You're wrong about the rear seats. They all fold down. The unlocking mechanism is operated from the trunk and is visible in your trunk shot.

The CLA250 is also a lot of fun to drive for us commoners. Very underrated. Wish it was rwd. The power-weight ratio is awesome.

These are the optional race seats. The regular seats are much more comfortable.

Nahhh I’m on my second CLA35 and it’s definitely not better.. it’s slower and you don’t get features like race mode, track pace, and launch control.

Ive driven these cars, extremely fun in roads under 120km/hr because it is very punchy. However the price does not justify the lack of interior quality of an entry level mercedes
