Oh! how i remember the early sixties with the Polaroid camera.beautiful beaches and landscapes capture it's beauty instantly,I thought it was real magic.Lindsay brings her "magic" on paper and instantly transform it into a masterpiece of talented work.Thank you Lindsay for sharing.🌄👍😊👌❤😃🏆
My first Polaroid land camera was called The Swinger. I could only use black and white film cartridges in it. My second was The Big Swinger. I could get color cartridges for it. It was fun to use. Actually, both cameras were fun to use. The reason that these cameras were Swingers is because they each had wrist straps, which allowed a person to carry them without holding on to the camera. In essence, the camera was swinging from the person's wrist with each step. The only thing that the person was holding onto was the wrist strap.
This is wonderful for beginners, but fun for times when we only have a few minutes to paint. Thanks Lindsay! I have friends with kids doing remote learning I’ll be sure to share this with them.
I’d love to see you do more of this size in watercolor! Postcard size is cheap to mail, not so involved for beginners like me. Nice to have for a quick note to mail, when you just want to say a quick Hi to someone! Please do more of this!
LOVE THESE! Also perfect for when we have a few minutes and want to produce something satisfying and adorable. You teach in such a calm and understandable way. I always pick up a new tip and I am grateful for your videos. Have a great day, Lindsay!
What a cute idea to do them like little polaroids! Excellent! And it is interesting to see how many inexpensive paints (and other art media!) are available these days!
Thanks Lindsay. Peninsula, Headland, six of one half a dozen of the other. These might be good for the kids for their school year. If we get quarantined again. But I have a 36 color student grade tube set collecting dust they can use. In school they request markers and colored pencils. 😉👍💙
This is a wonderful video! You’re always so encouraging to beginners & I hope that inspires many people. I’m a long-time watercolor artist and I still enjoy watching your videos. Thanks so much for sharing your ideas and your upbeat inspiration!
Thanks for the video ! You are the best ! Seascapes are my favorite . I don’t buy cards anymore, I make small paintings and use them as greeting cards .I watched this video and already painted the first one .
Love this project! It reminds me of a cityscape sunset I did when I was in high school, I may have to try these little polaroid sizes. I recently pick up some JD things at Tuesday Morning and am wanting to learn more artsy mediums.
I am a beginner water painter. I love to try, but I find I am better with my water color pencils. Just doing card stamped images or digital images. But I plan on trying these. You continue to amaze me with your tutorials.
These are so much fun the first two! I got down pat but the last one. I know it’s hard to show your work while your hands in front of it, I will have to say my trees are pretty crappy without step by step... my trees look like blobs.
These are so pretty! What a great idea! I thought I'd like to stick one of these inside a card for someone, so they can hang a piece of art on their fridge! Adorable! Thanks Lindsay! 😊❤
I looked at the set and see the picture shows a set of brushes. And you got a set. But apparently only a water brush is included, according to the description and to some buyers who responded to my question about it. So I thought folks might want to look into that before buying.
So gorgeous! My problem is, whenever I try to cover the edges of the paper with tape the surface of the paper will tear off when I remove the tape. I tried washi tape, painters tape, I tried to first dab the tape on my hands and on fabric to get it less sticky... Nothing has helped so far. Any tipps?
Thanks for this teaching tutorial learnt a lot. You do a lot with qouache so I asked my art teacher about water colour qouache the best to get here in NZ, she said it’s poster paint don’t waste my time with it, sigh I want to try can you point me in the direction of a good qouache for a beginner/intermediate like me that is water colour base?
She probably had a bad experience. Poster paint is similar but it is more watery like tempera. Look for the himi gouache. I think its available in Australia. Or arteza is nice, the 24 set is great, the 60 color set is more than you will need because it mixes so well. Good luck! I love gouache! Oh, holbein is supposed to he really good and it might be cheaper for you over there.

How fun! We just moved into our new house and I am almost finished getting my studio together. This will be a great project to get me settled in.
'Mini' anything plus creative painting equals inspiration. Thank you!

Wow, thats a nice variety of brushes it comes with!

This looks like a great way to practice!
I love these, so cute, this I'm definitely trying, they turned out fantastic.
Beautiful landscape paintings
I own these watercolors, and they are great for beginners like me. I feel like I got a lot of bang for my buck with these.
Fun project to do! I really relied on RUclips email notifications, and was lucky to catch this one today.
I'm glad you did:)
Love this!
That looked easy butttt I must try

Where to store the sheets after painting is done, mine is getting white patches on it and the whole painting is getting ruined😭Please reply

Try heating it!
Great price for this set! How good are the brushes? How do they compare with, say, your Aqualon brushes?
They are fine, just on the small size
Hey Lindsay, are Reeves watercolors in tubes a good buy for cheap paints? A little curious about them.
They are ok, a step down from cotman I'd say
@@thefrugalcrafter thanks Lindsay! 💜
Lol....I read the headline as paranoids instead of Polaroids.
😄
Haha:)
