I just noticed this is the low end, low memory model with no DSP, that's why it sounds and performs the way it does. At minimum in this modern age you need 3GB ram bare min, but highly recommend 4GB ram and up with DSP. The built in DSP is the difference maker!
For sure! Built in DSP would definitely make it a little more desirable...my only thing is that without that RAM, it would be of no use. This thing has a BUNCH of features...it just doesn't have the memory to take advantage of them
Another video! 👊🏾 There's probably another adaptor cable to get sounds for the rears. (I experienced this when I bought my head unit. Either it was a seperate piece to purchase or whoever packed my radio didn't put it in.) In any event I had to pay the shipping costs for the seller to ship it out to me.😝 But by that time I already found the pin outs for the rear channels and rigged something up but that's annoying asf. Anyone buying units like this be sure to ask the seller for all connections.
Yea there was an unused plug on the back too...IDK if it just didn't come with that feature or if it got left out of the package (I don't even know what it was for, but some of the other ones I saw online come with mics). But even if it had the adapter...naaaah lol

You're not being harsh in your judgment, the low end is just what it is. I wouldn't expect anything great from a sub 100 dollar unit. I love Android head units and am currently on my third. You really can't skimp on the specs and expect performance. I'm surprised you couldn't get that unit mounted flush. The form factor looks similar to my Mekede M600s and I was able to mount that flush without the brackets. I sent you pics how I did mine; that didn't work out for you with this unit? (Not that it matters anyway cause that HU is 🗑️)
Yea good technology is cheaper nowadays than it was before, but there is definitely still a limit to what you gonna get for that price. And honestly I probably could have messed with it and got it to go in a lil more flush (and with the trim), but I didn't feel like the results would have been worth the effort. Like it definitely wasn't impossible, but since I didn't like the performance there was no reason.
Nice heads up on this because i would've been p'd off getting this and the volume only goes to 40 smh and it sounds like the treble is all the way down lol 👍🏻

Used to have one similar and the volume buttons stopped working or would be sticky like volume would go all the way up or down and i switched to a ds18 floating screen 🔥

OK don't know much about this brand but all these things are pretty much the same. I've seen a couple of the higher end models that were decent and lasted a while. The cheaper end always… And I mean always had problems with the processors. I haven't seen many go past 6 to 8 months without having Some kind of issue that made them unusable. I've even seen a few that didn't have any frequency response below around 800 Hz! It was the weirdest thing and took a while to figure out but I eventually grabbed a pioneer off the shelf and plugged it in and boom fixed it. Had customers bring me these things and I always did the big disclaimer, if this thing don't work it ain't my fault!
Yea I was looking around on Amazon and they all seem like the same BS (they didn't even have a brand on the unit itself, so you know it's some white label shit). My homie has one that is actually pretty decent, but yea in general they seem to be really high in potential, but really low in execution. And damn 800?? that's not even a decent roll off for midrange! I'd be pretty upset I'm stickin with my Pioneer!
@@DaBadNewz yes stay with Pioneer, so pioneer for years and never had one come back with a problem except for when the customer would spill something on them or punch them 😂 I remember one that came back and he said the screen just quit working and I went out to the car to look at it and you could visibly see the knuckle marks in the screen.

it looks similar to my teyes but mine came with a replacement trim for my van so it looks stock the eq looks better and it comes with 360 cameras so there’s definitely better chips and processors going in some of these chinese units.
Oh for sure! Some of them are really nice, my homie installed one that was very similar in his Mazda3 and it’s been great to him. It’s just one of those things your really have to be careful about. Sounds like you got a really nice one though! I kinda figured this one wouldn’t be all that. It sells for $80, and while I know there are deals out there, there are also limitations on power per $.
