The real nostalgia here was from that kid... I can't imagine many of us don't have some memory of being stuck sitting somewhere bored out of our minds while our parents did something boringly stupid...
I had a few of the Star Wars minirigs, they were fun to play with and bulked out a Star Wars force quite nicely - my favourite one was CAP-2, it was a robot vehicle with hook hands that could grab a character, suction cup feet that stuck on to windows and smooth tabletops, and a grasping claw assembly on the back that could hold a captured prisoner. It was pretty sweet!
CoyPowers Eternia has on hell of a transportation authority. Large cats, tanks with oblong wheels, and a chair traversing dragon thing. Everyone’s teeth must have rattled right out of their head.
I love the Dragon Walker too! And let's be honest, whoever had the idea to make a vehicle from an Attak Trak's tank tread tilted by 90 degrees deserves a Nobel prize 😂
That orange and brown ‘sentinel’ vehicle was my stand in for an autobot ship, usually out of scale as a capital ship but occasionally with a minibot inside. The CAP-2 Captivator with the suction cups was my favourite by far.
The mini rigs were mostly good but some of the mini rigs were proper toys for example the snow trooper cannon from empire strikes back was one along with the droid repair set the only one I didn’t like was the asp the imperial one that was marketed as vehicle you fitted in the atat
Actually, Spider-Man could totally use a helicopter, once he's out of the city he's kind of screwed for web-slinging. Even Thanos has found use for a helicopter before.
Great vid as always! My brother and I had about half the list and wanted the other half, lol. These definitely bring back memories and I would gladly take any one in a heartbeat. The meet and greet looked like a lot of fun. Keep up the awesome work!
I love the disclaimer at the beginning about 'being unable to connect with the fans' towards the audience and then the several moments awaiting laughter after a joke. Dear people at TG, your humor is way too subtle to always get big laughs, which is a quality that still can make for some good, wholesome entertainment. Sounds like you had a good time, and were connecting all the same.
And finally, I thought at least an honorable mention would go to Superman's ship from super friends and BAM you hit on the even more ridiculous. Great video...wish I could have been there. Time to take the show on the road! P.S.: cruddy playsets next?
The E in magnetron is unstressed as there is a double consonant between the E and the O, so the O doesn't affect the E like it does when there is only one consonant between the E and O like in Magneto. Magn-uh-tron and Magn-ee-to.
I'm proud to say I made the Cobra POGO work. Granted not as it was intended. Certainly not as a command vehicle for Cobra Commamder. However stick an Astro-Viper in the cockpit and imagine dozens of POGOs attached to the outer hull of my imaginary Cobra Space Station and you've got a fully functioning space battle vehicle. I even imagined some the POGOs were performing maintenance on the outside of the station.
one of the best videos! it's cool to have the follwers/subscribers as an audience during your top countdowns! enjoyed it a lot as much as the guys at the back.
......hey, hey, HEY, I never had an action figure vehicle that was a disappointment, they WILL be used, even if not as intended. Oh, by the way, didn't you receive the 70's memo about exposed operator vehicles ALWAYS having an undisclosed hidden force field generator??? gee whiz,...... wonderful job dear Sir, BRAVO and PEACE.
Really enjoyed this video! Dan, you're a natural at doing the video live! I hope I get to be part of a meetup and a live taping someday! As for the video, yeah that jogging vehicle was ridiculous. So glad you pointed out the box art! Superman did NOT look like he wanted to endorse that particular product! LOL. And I'm kind of sad that the Star Wars mini-rigs made the list, but yeah they were pretty bad. I have a soft spot for the INT-4. I had that one, and I always thought it looked the best out of the bunch.
Ah the cobra battle ball. Dr Mindbender was on the magic mushrooms and listening to his Velvet Underground albums the night he came up with that one. :)
Great episode guys! Excellent job!👍 Very cool doing a live show! Thought it went very well. Wish I lived close enough to have went.😢 Glad you guys had a good turn out.👍
I can understand all of them ..but tbh i used the cobra pogo as a moon vehicle with the astro vipers which made loads of sense with its design...on earth none whatsoever lol
Fantastic countdown! Congratulations on the live audience and meet up success. I wish I could have made it, but I'm a bit far. I had a number of those bad vehicles as a kid. Even as a kid, I didn't understand the Wolverine face on the motorcycle.
I feel real bad now that I liked 3 of the SW mini vehicles. The fighter that could fit in the AtAT is sweet... And yes, we were thrifty, but more vehicles on the battlefield is more realism darnit!!
Just found out about your channel...as a kid I used to buy “ToyFare” magazine...your channel reminds me of a live action issue of ToyFare...keep up the good work and thank you for reminding me of what it was to be young..
Haha... This is absolutely brilliant! It is as if Dan was doing live stand up instead of a live review 😂 Ok jokes aside (no pun intended), I seriously think you should do more of this kind of review, which is in front of a live audience. And maybe after that you can add some audio at the end of your video, stating that this was recorded in front of a live studio audience. You know just like back in the day where they used to say that at the end of a comedy sitcom such as Three's Company, Alf, Family Ties, Who's the Boss?, Charles in Charge and much much more.
wow you sound a little nervous there bud lol. you shouldnt be, it turned out great. as a trained and professional teacher, i couldnt help but notice the subtle booger pick n eat at 4:50
Live Toy Galaxy! Excellent idea. I always enjoy the list shows. I think the next poll should be for fans to decide - Regular Dan or Beard Power Dan! Which one should ride the Justice Jogger into the next video
I always clipped a few pieces of wide flat rubber bands, laid them over the slots, then wedged the legs in with the scraps of rubber band. It always helped. I have the ugly gold, black, and green Star Brigade version, too.
See, I told Producer Greg could work magic and fyi, the Justice Walker was made for Superman so he wouldn’t step on Kryptonite legos 😁 Great video Mr Larson, Producer Greg 👍🏽✌🏽
Daaaaamn, kid! That shallow focus is so crisp those real people look like a green screen drop-in. Give Producer Greg a hug, unless he might lint-up that clean sports jacket
Awesome show. But what's with the Bashosaurus bashing (pun intended)? I love that one. He's on display right now with Ram Man riding him (you know, the guy who bashes stuff anyway).
Nice job performing “in front of a live studio audience”. 👍🏻 The funniest jokes are the ones where the audience has no idea what is going on, or how to respond. Producer Greg needed to hold up cue cards telling them when to laugh, or clap. I think it was a neat idea, and look forward to more of these.
As soon as I saw the title, I knew the Dragon Walker had to be in there somewhere. What a weird-ass concept. As for the #1 spot: I like to think Supes is kickin’ his legs back and forth, going all “doop-dee-doo” while the jogger, erm, jogs. Maybe it’s drying his hair while it does it’s thing too, it looks kinda like one of those salon hair dryer thingies. Kinda.
I had the Spider Copter as a kid, it was actually made more for the 12" action figures/dolls than the 8". I had several 8", including Spider-Man, and they wouldn't have even been able to see over the dashboard. I was not happy when my mother decided to dump it into a giant hole in my uncle's backyard and let it get buried. But, at least I know where it is and shall likely remain for quite a long time.
For the coastal defender, the design seems based on life guard stations in various norther coastal regions in the US where they close up in order to make it a place that isn't exposed to the elements.
I love how careful you are to present the narrative as it's intended to be received. Whether it's for the intended mythology behind a toyline or the logic behind why an item made it onto a WORST LIST EVER list, you always present the case as fairly as you can. I never get the slightest hint that you think a given toyline's mythology is idiotic, for example, or that the voters on a given toy were just flat wrong. Love the channel!
Sorry, commenting as I watch. My mini rig that I received for my birthday was the weird hoth spring loaded roller thing. I loved it and since this was before home video I just assumed I missed it when I watched the movies and it was in there somewhere.
I always pictured the pogo as an anti-air vehicle designed to travel mountainous terrain. Get somewhere that you need climbing gear to reach, take out enemy aircraft, hop somewhere else before they can get to you. If they do get to you there is a small, low calibre gun on the underside.
JWPrimetime I expect a ‘filmed before a live studio audience’ in the intro of EVERY toy galaxy episode now. And a Mary Tyler Moore kitten meowing in Bob Newhart’s voice.
I remember seeing that Spiderman copter at a friend's house long ago. To this day, it stuck with me that the interior of it had a decal of a lever labeled something like "TEAR GAS RELEASE". When would Spidey ever need something like this? Is he called upon to pacify hoardes of rioting New Yorkers?
I got my dad to stop at a Mr Toys so I could buy the Cobra Pogo with my birthday money back in the day. I knew it was a ludicrous concept back then but craziness of it really appealed to me.
Toy Galaxy is filmed before a live studio audience.
You nailed it.
It probably shouldn't be.
tech wise, a very good job
Sit Ubu, sit. Good dog. Woof!
Good one 👍🏻
The real nostalgia here was from that kid... I can't imagine many of us don't have some memory of being stuck sitting somewhere bored out of our minds while our parents did something boringly stupid...
Cobra’s reaction when they see the Coastal Defender in disguise as a box.
“A public toilet with wheels? Shoot it down.”
Despite the other comments, we are all only here for BORED KID ON THE LEFT!
Awesome video, Dan! :D
I feel for her cause the poor kid was like why am I listening to this mom and dad
I knew even at the first minute she was the one to watch as the hope of entertainment began to fade from her eyes
And the eating of the booger @4:42
Saw the title and exclaimed "Ooh. I bet the Justice Jogger made the list!"
I love Toy Galaxy.
*Mentions Zoids
I see. A fellow man of culture.
Please hire that adorable kid to be sitting, bored, in the background of every video
The kid sits in judgement and if she is found wanting, she will send him to the lions.
yeah, you could almost see the moment where she thought "I have to sit here the whole time?!"
I’m willing to help arrange that 😉
She's wondering why she is in a room surrounded by a bunch of adult men talking about toys.
Episode came out great! Producer Greg successfully worked his magic on Dan’s flawless delivery 😎
Glad to have seen it live! 😁
The Dragon Walker is amazing. it's Blasphemy that it's on this list! It could traverse very small gaps in the landscape, if you planned perfectly!
CoyPowers Eternia has on hell of a transportation authority. Large cats, tanks with oblong wheels, and a chair traversing dragon thing. Everyone’s teeth must have rattled right out of their head.
@@keithg1313 I have it on good authority that Mo Larr was head of the Eternian transit committee.
"IF" you planned it perfectly.
ccggenius12 I’m not gonna lie, I had to look that one up. Was not disappointed.
I love the Dragon Walker too! And let's be honest, whoever had the idea to make a vehicle from an Attak Trak's tank tread tilted by 90 degrees deserves a Nobel prize 😂
Guy at 6:47 questioning Dan's use of the word "smished", you're my new hero.
Ahh, the G I Joe Tactical Outhouse, er, i mean Coastal Defender!
I wish I could have been there, it looks like you had great time!
I just love this channel so much.
Same love this channel
Yeah !! Just discovered it. This is awesome. All my childhood toys & to top it off - a great host! Thanks for the videos Toy Galaxy
If you think Magneto's Magnetron is bad, Sean Bean would like to speak with you regarding consistent pronunciation.
Very well behaved little girl. I'm sure she was like, are we gonna stop talking and play with all these toys or what?
Excellent episode👍
Accurate.
Very cool use of a live audience gathering. I hope you do more of them.
Ouch!! I loved my star wars mini rigs especially the orange brown one.
I liked the mini rigs too! Cash grab? Yes. Fun to play with? Hell yes!
That orange and brown ‘sentinel’ vehicle was my stand in for an autobot ship, usually out of scale as a capital ship but occasionally with a minibot inside.
The CAP-2 Captivator with the suction cups was my favourite by far.
Cap-2 was an awesome vehicle. I also like the mini Sand Skiff.
The mini rigs were mostly good but some of the mini rigs were proper toys for example the snow trooper cannon from empire strikes back was one along with the droid repair set the only one I didn’t like was the asp the imperial one that was marketed as vehicle you fitted in the atat
I stand corrected thanks I used to use the sentinel as a cheap a wing because it didn’t come out until a couple of years after jedi
I feel so awkward watching just a group of people looking this way lmao. School speech PTSD kicking in
Actually, Spider-Man could totally use a helicopter, once he's out of the city he's kind of screwed for web-slinging. Even Thanos has found use for a helicopter before.
Great vid as always! My brother and I had about half the list and wanted the other half, lol. These definitely bring back memories and I would gladly take any one in a heartbeat. The meet and greet looked like a lot of fun. Keep up the awesome work!
from half-way across the world, Mr. Dan. I hoped and wished to be there! Thanks for always making videos for all of us!
I love the disclaimer at the beginning about 'being unable to connect with the fans' towards the audience and then the several moments awaiting laughter after a joke. Nice work guys - I don't remember a lot from my childhood but I do remember getting the jogger and said why does superman need this?
My Dragon Walker only walked backwards. He-man was always in a slow retreat.
It's one of those weird toys that would go backward if you put the batteries in backwards, if I recall correctly.
@@CoyPowers interesting! I always assumed it was a manufacturing defect with the motor or gears somehow reversed in assembly
@@CoyPowers I'm glad someone answered that! I read the replies to find this!
The bored child on the left is the real hero.

They should've made a Thanoscopter instead.
Eh. Superman was just feeling lazy that day. There are days I could use something like that.
I mouthed the word "smished" at the exact same time as the guy in the audience with the tan shirt and glasses.
Great video! Hope you do more live shows when you travel to toy shows and meets. Always a good day when I find a new Toy Galaxy video waiting for me.
one of the best videos! it's cool to have the follwers/subscribers as an audience during your top countdowns! enjoyed it a lot as much as the guys at the back.
My inner 10 year old is trying to scream at you through the internet that the Cobra Pogo is awesome.
@13:56 in a sad twist of irony, it would have been useful to superman more than anyone could have imagined less than 10 years later.
The expression on the face at the front of Wolverine's motorcycle looks like he's getting a rectal exam.
Fandom at its best! Excellent video, fellas. This was a lot of fun.

Great episode guys! Excellent job!👍
Very cool doing a live show! Thought it went very well. Wish I lived close enough to have went.😢
Glad you guys had a good turn out.👍
From this day forward, all of TG's top 10 shows MUST be filmed before a live studio audience. This was €@%!*?# awesome... Bravo!
I love this idea of a live studio audience. Please continue this!
I can understand all of them ..but tbh i used the cobra pogo as a moon vehicle with the astro vipers which made loads of sense with its design...on earth none whatsoever lol
Hasbro itself realized it was better as a space vehicle, as it was later recolored and re-released as the Invader.
www.yojoe.com/vehicles/93/invader/
The pogo battle ball is the only one that shouldn’t be on this list
The Buzz Boar should've been on this list over the pogo
Fantastic countdown! Congratulations on the live audience and meet up success. I wish I could have made it, but I'm a bit far. I had a number of those bad vehicles as a kid. Even as a kid, I didn't understand the Wolverine face on the motorcycle.
Oh how the mighty have fallen. Kal-El, the the last son of Krypton, carted around like some hapless rugrat in a robotic Baby Bjorn.
That's nothing. He's got to race the Flash in it next week...
Love it. Great work Toy Galaxy! ⚡️
Am I the only that thought that Child Protective Services was gonna bust in and save that little girl from boredom
A: Loved the Dragon Walker
B: The coastal defender was used as a cargo trailer.
C. That Fn POGO Damn legs wouldn’t stay on
Lol. Those were the three I had too!
I feel real bad now that I liked 3 of the SW mini vehicles. The fighter that could fit in the AtAT is sweet...

Just need to to poach Twisted Mego Theatre from them. Oh. Wait. Matt Seinrich and Seth Green did that, it's called "Robot Chicken".
The Spawnmobile is giving me a nostalgia aneurysm. I had 100% forgotten it existed despite the little Hot Wheels versions being everywhere
I love the channel and all your content. I do have one question though, is that OdinMakes behind you????

How many people want a Superman Jogger now & watched the bored kid more than Dan?
This is nice man ,you guys should do this more often.

Live Toy Galaxy! Excellent idea. I always enjoy the list shows. I think the next poll should be for fans to decide -

That was really quite good. Well Done!👌
Why does Wolverine's bike look like Hot Rod's twin sister??
So I'm not crazy?!?! I thought Hot Rod when I saw it too lol
I have a pogo and played with it a lot. Liked it back then, except for the three legs that kept falling of 🤣
I always clipped a few pieces of wide flat rubber bands, laid them over the slots, then wedged the legs in with the scraps of rubber band. It always helped. I have the ugly gold, black, and green Star Brigade version, too.

Dude. I saw the real-life Spawnmobile at a con in Washington in 1993. They actually had a full-scale replica.
that was a lot of fun! well done.

Amazing channel. I'm from central Connecticut and I truly regret not being able to go.
There will be another one for sure.
As soon as I saw the title, I knew the Dragon Walker had to be in there somewhere. What a weird-ass concept.

Mini rigs? NOOOOOOO! [cries] I still collect those. They had cool designs. Plus, let's face it, the Rebels had hardly any ground vehicles.
The Star Wars Mini-Rigs rocked! Especially the shuttle craft. It was easier to play with than the full sized one.
Great work for your first-ever live audience show!
I love that somebody had their daughter there! I took my daughter to alot of stuff like this over the years
Despite her bored appearance on camera, she was soooo excited to meet Dan. And to get a Dinobot 😀
Gotta love the little girl falling asleep in the front row. Brings back memories of my time going to my mother’s PKU meetups.
There was a Justice Jogger. Goodness that thing was horrible.
Anyway.. This looked fun. Glad you enjoyed it.
I had the Spider Copter as a kid, it was actually made more for the 12" action figures/dolls than the 8". Great idea to have a live video, congrats. Greetings from Mexico.
For the coastal defender, the design seems based on life guard stations in various norther coastal regions in the US where they close up in order to make it a place that isn't exposed to the elements.
This was great! Promote bored kid to sidekick and the series is a go!
I love how careful you are to present the narrative as it's intended to be received. Looked like a fun time. Hope to catch you at retro con!
I'll be there all weekend.

Magneto's Magnetron. Magnetron means microwave here in The Netherlands. I was always confused about it😄
