M.A.S.K has a lot of potential for being an amazing franchise going forward.
Yeah, that "Contemporary Subculture/Youth empowerment" hook worked so well for Jem, I can only imagine how well it'll work for MASK. . . :-/
AtRandom with KeN-K The reboot comic no one wanted to read, or the reboot movie that was made for peanuts and took real quotes out of context to pad the runtime?
It was truly outrageous.
Two thumbs up for Visionaries and Mask. I can't wait to recreate my childhood. 😊
Need to reboot Starcom, transforming space ships, laser beams, and magnets.
Yes. No batteries!!! Lol
No vehicles yet, but there is a 4" line of figures called Hell Screamerz, that have a Starcom vibe, thats coming out this holiday season.

ExoSquad-Starcom crossover please..with a plot like COD Infinite War/Red Faction/The Expanse
Had almost the whole set. best part as a kid was figuring out where guys would stick.
Oh man yes! My brother and I had the usual 80s toys. But man I really loved playing with Starcom. Such a cool line and with Mars missions in the news and Spacex doing its thing now is a prime time for a reboot!
Maaaan... Everybody and their mother remembers Thundercats (land) or Silverhawks (air)... nobody ever mentions Tigersharks (sea).... Sadface.
SRey I LOVED Tigersharks.
Tigersharks kind of crossed a little too far into the uncanny valley, I think.
@Patrick Henry Camp Minimon!
C.O.M.I.C. .... S.T.R.I.P..... Come on take a trip on the Comic Strip!
I liked the Tigersharks series!
Patrick Henry Who can do hip hop better than a frog can STREET FROGS!
Also, Micro Machines would be pretty sweet as well!
Go Joe! Seriously though how do we not have gi joe in this world of 2019? Also dinosaurs, guns, spaceships, and ninjas. Ah the 80s, what a time to be kid!
stormshadow and snake-eyes toys can never get old...
The '80s were the BEST time to be a kid! Totally agree with you on that one :)
I was lucky enough to grow up with a grandfather who worked at Hasbro. I got a lot of awesome toys but sadly all that still remains is my G.I. Joe collection.
You are the luckiest kid EVER!
My mom used to manage a toy store, she’d damage out merchandise, and I got SW, my brother got GI Joe. I see figure values now, I still call and mess with him for playing with the figures and vehicles outside.
hah, reminds me of my uncle working security for local garbage dump site, always called us to be ready when shopping mall waste was coming, good times putting broken toys together (thank you kb toys).
Yes, it was a dangerous scavenger hunt for a child (needles, sharp metals, large broken mirros, etc), would not take my nephew or grandkids on such expeditions.
Exo squad. Goddamn those toys were sssooo freaking amazing, the cartoon was top tier too.
YES!!!
I can't believe they didn't make the cut, maybe the cartoons were too unknown?
@@sixtiviris people never appreciate quality till it's gone
@@TheRavensCaw damn right... it's sad... =0(
Exo Squad was simply the best. So many of the themes in the BSG reboot were in Exo Squad 10 years before. Further, the toys were stellar !!!!
Dan's cosplay game is strong.
Can we just, please, finally get a line of S.W.A.T. Cats figures and vehicles?
C'mon, people!
I believe they had them. I believe I had t.bone back in the day
I know got a fact they had the 2 main characters from the show as toys not sure about vehicles though.
Oh lawd, can you imagine?
I just want to hear the theme song on a regular basis.
They had some back in the 90's. I just want the jet and missile packs.
Great List, but I would love to add C.O.P.S. and Bravestarr to the lineup. And yes, G.I. Joe and M.A.S.K. are a must !
Classic Action Figures how did I forget COPS?! Fighting crime in a future time...
I agree. I was wondering where C.O.P.S. was on the list.
So the MASK reboot could take Fast and Furious to a new level.
Could we make it NC-17, too, so it could be The Fast & The Furious & The Flying & The Fucking?
The FF series keeps getting more over the top. Having vehicles that have guns pop out and doors that turn into wings really would be a practical evolution.
I said the same damned thing
I really miss MASK
How about we just forget about F&F?
Besides of Inhumanoids that was on list EXO Squad also needs reboot.
Exo squad was awesome!
+1 to Exo squad
I sacrificed sleeping in on weekends to watch Exo-Squad
Exo squad and starcom both great toy lines lost
@@fuckgoogle8857 LOVED both those shows. Starcom when I was a kid. I regret getting rid of those toys so much. And Exoxquad used to be on tv when I was getting ready for highschool I'd watch it every day lol
Oh just thought of another hit that needs a remake that had amazing toys.
Ronin Warriors. Oh my Lord the toys were so bad ass that had those crazy articulation systems that were built on heavy duty springs. And the cartoon? Now that was prime anime.
Second that brother please let this come true
Otacon91 Bandai did come out with a line of figures under Samurai troopers back in 2013. They were very similar to what they do with the Saint Seiya figures.
Agreed
Count me in too. The show was awesome
I never got into M.A.S.K.
But Dino Riders and Centurions were my jam!!!
Anyone remember Rock Lords? Transforming rocks. Infinite playability.
Transform to rock, throw at your little sister. Memories.
12:20 Wait a minute... That's not Matt Trakker, that's Herbert West!!!!!
PRODUCER GREG!!!!!!
Haha I was like what??? I don't remember that face sculpt.
Looks more like Stephen Colbert
Here I was thinking Stephen King but kudos to you!
"convert to youth empowerment mode T-Bob"
I'm gonna need at least an honorable mention for exo-squad.
I had completely forgot Visionaries. I had a few of those when I was a kid. Flashback... Thanks for the list!
I want M.A.S.K., along with G.I. Joe. I love Transformers, but I want to see the other 2 come back.
Thank you for honoring Flint with your outfit. Best. Joe. Ever.
It's funny because he was never my favorite as a kid. Didn't own him. It wasn't until the 25th line hit that I really started to appreciate him.
Toy Galaxy Nah. He is my fave. Everybody else is all about Snake Eyes. Flint is my boy!
My favorite was a tie between Snake Eyes and Sci-Fi.
I'm in support of M.A.S.K. only if it has a synth powered theme song again!
No matter how many Transformers shows there are now, G.I. Joe deserves an another chance with an all new reboot TV series much like TF Prime.
They’re going to have to go the Resolute way if they want to get much attention these days.
Renegade was pretty pimp. Too bad Prime overshadowed it.
SJW + PC will destroy any new reboots of GI Joe. Cobra Commander will be in a gay relationship with Zanzibar.
Cmon hasbro...
*Announce that 6 inch G.I. Joe line.*
Update: we got em, boys.
DO IT HASBRO!!! 😠
GI Joe is a playset-centric line. There's no way that they are going to be able to sell enough 1/12 scale vehicles to make it worth it. I'm in for a 1/12 VAMP though.
Yeah, 1/12th scale makes no sense for a property like G.I. Joe. I'd rather they went smaller (like Mega Bloks' surprisingly well-articulated mini-figures) so as to make larger sets (like the U.S.S. Flagg) more practical.
Said it once before...but a lot of 6 inch collectors don't care about vehicles and playsets that much...we just want the characters in 6 inch form. I'd wager most Marvel Legends collectors would jump in a 6 inch GI Joe line...I know I would, and couldn't care less about large vehicles. It would still be pretty easy to release some of the smaller vehicles down the line, like the RAM, CLAW, FANG, etc...
Mark Jorgensen Exactly, I mean Black Series doesn’t have a lot of vehicles and there has been a want for new Joe products
Starcom, using the same magnetic mechanism but with cooler ship designs. my general reboot level is about a 3, and no corny anime style features
Oh yeah! Starcom was a great line!
FINALLY someone mentioned one of my favorite cartoons of the 80's: M. A. S. K. THANK YOU!!!
And here I go on eBay looking at toys I can not afford, lol
Solid list. In addition I would like to see Captain Power, Starcom, and Bionic 6!
How about bionic dinosaurs with magnetic parts..
If they re issued the old battle beasts with no changes I would buy every single one.
Same. I'd love a little extra detail, but even just a straight copy of the originals would pull money out of my wallet without hesitation.
I'd do the same for Starriors and Robotech Robolinks and Robotix. Also Kronoform. Basically I want robots that do stuff and can be made into stuff. Also worn on a wrist. Oh and also the Tomy Robots. I want Omnibot 2000. Except its 2020 now. I don't think it needs a tape drive to load programs now.
Agreed but maybe change up the color scheme of a few. There were some that were perfect and untouchable but others that weren't good. Lion, gorilla, shark, rhino, kangaroo, toad, elephant and fox are perfect as they are.
I would love food fighters with updated features. My dad bought me the whole line because they were in the clearance section. They were my favorite toy
G.I.JOE NEVER DIES.IN 2020 COMES THE MOVIE SNAKE EYES WITH A NEW LINE OF FIGURES.SINCE 1964 g.i.joe is the first action figure and will stay around for ever.
Gi Joe needs to make a comeback and new Saturday morning cartoons need to be aired!
Let’s bring back the 80s toys and cartoons👍 There is nothing on the tv or toy store shelves that will ever match what we had as kids.
Inhumanoids was the shit, I would love to see new designs of the Earth Corps power suits.
isacloboz I completely agree with you. The original Inhumanoids toyline was epic! I would absolutely love a modern reboot of The Inhumanoids. Can you image revamped, redesigned Earthcore battle suits? Not to mention modern interpretations of the villainous Inhumanoids! I think that would be totally rad!
The bad guys were awesome but the heroes sucked. Put the Inhumanoids against the Centurions.
Yay! I voted for M.A.S.K. and Silver Hawks. Lol
Silver hawks all the way baby
High articulation
6inch size
Just genius.
This show is so cleverly written and Dan’s such a great host. Keep it up guys
Exo-Squad needs a reboot. I am ahead of the game with the toy line. Still have half of Able Squad, and a couple of Neosapiens.
ExoSquad-Starcom crossover please..with a plot like COD Infinite War/Red Faction/The Expanse
Watched from 04:00 like 10 times.. so much childhood memories.. saw some clips I have never seen before! Always get that happy childhood feeling when something about Battle Beasts comes along. Greetings from the Netherlands, Europe.
sorry dude I had to stop your video and immediately go and find that dungeons and dragons commercial! my goodness!! that was intense! at this point in my life I'm far too jaded and grizzled to be moved by most things but THAT commercial gave me the warm and fuzzies! Dan, I personally want to thank you for bringing that to my attention! ahem...now back to the list of reboots...
You are so on the point about that program. I did the same. Uni was even in it, I did not expect that. Each time D & D live action movies are released in Hollywood they leave alot to be desired. I did enjoy Beast Master and the two Conan movies as some what substitute for the world of D & D.
@@DominusTecum316 I KNOW RIGHT!!!!!!!!
All those are great and GI Joe is number one for me, but another line I'd like to see reboot of the toy as well as the series it was from is Pirates of Dark Water
Reboot Captain power and the soldiers of future.
wstine79 they’ve been trying to get CP off the ground for several years now google “Captain Power Phoenix Rising”
Captain power can be a good American tokusatsu show tho
YES YES YES YES YES JMS YES!
Wanting that exo-squad reboot
Dungeons and Dragons doesn't need a reboot. It needs an update. I want to know what's been happening to the kids in the Realm this whole time.
They should combine the two. The game had characters never seen on the show and the show had characters never seen in the game. Make an animated series of that.
Always loving your videos! The Flint outfit shows some true dedication.
Definitely hit some of my faves here! Seeing D&D (based on the cartoon) , Visionaries, Silverhawks, and MASK rebooted and with all new toys on the shelves would just blow my mind.
A Gi Joe Crossover line with transformers is a no brainer.
Has Cadillacs & Dinosaurs been covered on TG yet? Great cartoon based on Mark Schultz's Xenozoic Tales comic. Short lived, but it did get a toy line.
Jack "Cadillac" Tenrac, and Hannah Dundee if memory serves...
The most metal intro for a cartoon ever. 👍
@@stephenjwarnecki7367 You are correct sir! I recently just finished collecting the original run of comics. Got the first issue autographed by Schultz a few years ago at a small con in Ohio. Fantastic story, but it remains unfinished to this day.
1985 GI JOE and Transformers toy lines. I'd buy them ALL again right now.
I will never get tired of JMS facts.
I’m just assuming that most people watched this to see G.I.Joe at #1
Spiral-Zone: those badass single-wheeled bikes and vehicles with weapons!
If ever I get to meet Dan and his team, beers are on me.
Ohh Dan, so many comments could be made at any juncture of this. So I'll just keep it to: you had me alternately comtemplating, analyzing, delightedly agreeing, theorizing, and laughing out loud. As usual, it was insightful, intriguing, and goofier than hell. Love it. Thanks.
This channel is one of my favorite lunch watch videos! You have covered two of my most beloved fandoms, Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers and The Mighty Orbots. I’m giddy beyond belief to see what you have to say about my favorite toy/comic franchise, the Micronauts, as that would be my number one for update and reboot.
Really love the channel, even though I don’t collect any action figures (which seems to be 99% of your content), it brings back a lot of memories of my youth. One toy line that I really had a blast with, was Schaper Stompers 4x4 vehicles. Just a relatively cheap (~5 bucks) plastic bodied monster truck powered by a AA battery with working lights, but they were fun. I can remember having a dozen different ones and having several taken away for bringing them to school. All my friends had them and we would have races and customize them. I never was fortunate enough to get the play sets, but who needed one when an encyclopedia or two on your unmade bed was a great off road course. After looking online and seeing how much vintage ones are going for (up to and beyond $100.00), I guess I am not the only one that enjoyed them. Thanks for allowing us to relive our childhoods. BTW, you did inspire me to buy my first action figure, I just ordered a Revoltech Boba Fett Samurai. I am sure it will only lead me down a deep hole of no money and wanting more and more, thanks 😁.
You are dressed as Flint, you mentioned Flint first in your list of Joes... you are a winner and get a subscription from me! Bravo!
Holy cow! This is first 😲 this is the first time all my picks made the list 😃 yeah I know almost everybody wants the same toys I want but let me enjoy this false victory 😅
Great video Mr Larson, Producer Greg 👍🏽✌🏽
Great video Dan! I especially loved the outfit, I was so expecting Lady Jaye to walk into frame and sit beside you.
Mr. Larson your creative control of this channel is stuff of genuine legend! Im from a suburb 10 minutes north of Boston a town called Saugus. Infamous for the bright lights of a highway from a simpler time Rt.#1 with the Big Cactus of The Hilltop or orange dinosaur with a leaning tower or Pizza. Although most of the landmarks of yesteryear are all but gone memories dont fade as fast. Discovering your channel some years ago for a search of my 12 year old self born in (1977) mostly it consisted of He-Man, G.I.Joe, anf WWF Ljn figures i stumbled across your channel! Im grateful to see the wonder of it all come together with 2 close friends and cover everything Toys! Ive watched all of the documentary style history of Saturday Morning cartoons etc. And have always felt the need to write you guys. Especially after seeing you are located in New England i actually thought of going 1980 letter writing on you guys which i still ponder. I guess what im saying is you are doing what my legitimate life long dream was/is ...doing a Show dedicated to everything i loved as a kid and enjoy going to " work" daily. Thank you for being you. I researched what got you started and how so many fans adore your graphics and outstanding theme based episodes that is was so refreshing to know it was just you and your friend behind the camera. Congratulations on all your success
The 40 year anniversary of ARAH will be in 2022.
Just sayin’.
Just hopin’.
Well, Cobra was an American terrorist organization, so the political climate is right.
They didn’t do a thing for the 50th with the 12 inch line... I think until someone who likes the line gets in a position of power at hasbro, it won’t happen... they closed the collector club last month...
Can I just say I love how they leave in some bloopers in these. 😂
Dude, your JMS running gag cracks me up. Always get a chuckle out of it.
I'd love to see XEVOZ make a comeback, only this time without the stupid game element.
They can start by giving us the 5th wave of figures that they teased us with. It's a crime against humanity that those were never released.
Love XEVOZ, even including said stupid game elements. Just adds something a little bit more and special to the figures, even if it sucks harder than a vacuum.
This is one of my favourite toy lines. I only have two left but would love to get more someday.
Haha I still have a few of those.
Still have at least one of every set released, multiples of many ..been considering selling them off, sadly.
Love the costume pick Dan! #1 should be GI Joe but thats just me great video!
Oh man I saw the commercial of Renault car with the live action version of Advance Dungeons and Dragons which used to show in 1980' Saturday morning cartoon on CBS network. Thanks Flint and producer Greg I saw Uni (unicorn), that made my day. Oh the rest of your video was great as always.
Thank you for that Wheeled Warrior mail-in callback :D
It's simple.... mustaches sell figures, duh
Man at Arms: Hmm?
Serve me some Captain Power baby
Darn i can't upvote this one more than once!
I'll take silver hawks, visionary, and centurions!!! Make it happen.
Yes please
This just made me want to watch all the cool shows from my childhood and that M.A.S.K theme song... wooo!
Nice list. Silver hawks and Centurions are definitely needed.
Awesome. So many great lines. Visionaries would be awesome
Hasbro, please please please make a 6" GIJoe figure line
* checks wallet
Hasbro, please please please DO NOT make a 6" GIJoe figure line.
They don't make 3 3/4 inch figure... i know 6 inch figures look good ... but no playset and vehicles+ need a bigger house if they made 6 inch joe
@@alexandremilliard4726 this is what it 6 inch guys cant get through their heads. Vehicles/ playsets.
@@scorchedearthvideos4440 that all i collect in vintage gi joe vehicles and playsets ... 25th anniversary to modern for figures .... but just imagine a 6 inch scale killer whale...where do i put that thing...did you seen the 6 inch scale tie fighter? It's awesome but...wher to put it? For me i'll stand at the 3 3/4 inch scale anyday... i wish hasbro just gives us some multi-packs of existing molds cobra legion style. Cobra trooper - tele viper- viper-crimson guard- bats- eel- strato-viper . Alley-viper range-viper night-creepers . Give me python patrol. I don't want to pay 1000$ for joe con exclusive python patrol box set . Haslab , i wish they give us modular pieces or just offer more products more often a Gi joe cartoon base would be cool
Honestly, most 6 inch collectors like me just want representations of the characters, and don't care that much about vehicles. There is a subset that wants both, but I think more of us just care about the characters.
Same I wish.
...I'd hire you, buddy. Just watched the OTHER top 10 from a few years before this one.
Gotta appreciate the edits...and yes, still M.A.S.K.
Think I've watched 12 hours worth of your content on last few days, thanks y'all!
I need more G.I. Joe. Gotta feed the addiction.
Holy Beardless Wonder!! Imposter! Collecting up my MASK toys now to find a home for someone. Wish they were more complete these days. MASK would be great.
And love my TG Shirt! keep up the work mates.
Another great video, guys. I didn't vote for the simple reason I do not need anymore new lines to collect. It's getting crazy in here.
On a side note, I really appreciate the effort Dan is putting into Flint's lop-sided grin. Good job, Dan!
I loved the Wheeled Warrior vehicles as a kid! Those, and the MAX STEEL ROBO FORCE robots, with the accordion arms.
You guys really know how to grind a joke into the ground. I love this. 🤣🤣🤣
Whoa... lookin good! I definitely "hunger for more".
Speaking of "slipping through cracks..."
Viva la reboot-cion! Generale Dan does it again! I know all my votes will be mailed in from now on...
That's "Generalisimo Dan" to you, Soldier. Fall back in line! (kidding)
I really would love to see M.A.S.K. and Sectaurs come back
ZICA Toys are bringing out new Sectaurs toys at the end of this year/beginning of next.
Super 7 needs to get the licensing rights to do Silver Hawks if there is no reboot plans for it.
As a child of the 80's I firmly believe and KNOW that we NEED a G.I. Joe reboot. The point isn't whether it's good or not, the point is that it even gets made at all. Also M.A.S.K. needs a reboot too... 😎🇨🇦
Remember when "Reboot" was just the name of a CGI cartoon show?
Perpridge Farm remembers.
Excellent list guys! A mask/joe/centurions combined movie would be ideal with them bringing in the mask and centurions as "special teams" weapon systems designed to go up against decepticons after the Joe's get hammered in battle!
Dino Riders? Heck yes! 6" G.I. Joe? Yes, please! M.A.S.K.? that would be amazing! One thing, not on the list, that I think would be amazing... Food Fighters!
Hahaha he dressed like Flint! I love Dan!
MASK!!! Hell yes! (and Thunder Cats ..... and Silver Hawks..... and all the others)
Sooo funny, Dan. Good stuff!
Yeah! Wheeled Warriors made the list!
Omg it’s about time M.A.S.K. takes the number one slot!!!
Woohoo!!!
We need this!
Bro, your crazy, I just want to take you to the good will and tell me all the stories about the abandoned toys on the shelves.
You knowledge about retired toys is just insane.
I would gobble up every frikkin one of those, lol. That whole list was my toy collection when I was little. G.I. Joe, Centurions, Silverhawks, M.A.S.K., Dino-Riders.......Man, Hasbro is sitting on so many properties its crazy.
As always - on point guys.
This list needs more 90s
Where's the call for Toxic Crusaders, Biker Mice from Mars, Street Sharks or Extreme Dinosaurs?
Wow, looking back on it, so many of those were just riding the Tmnt coat tails weren't they?
Hells yeah. Can we next see a “Top 10 Toy lines that have PERFECTED rebooting?”
I used to own the green Centurion, it was one of my favorite toys, I also remember going to my cousin's house to play with his MASK toys, my brother had the brontosaurus Dino Riders
Dan as Flint. I'd watch that.
Now I HAVE to find these toyss....your words alone have made them Uber collectables and worth billions...lol keep up the good work
