Looks great man. I’ve got a big spread and not really any rhyme or reason to what I work on other than what I feel like . Sometimes laying track, always building structures, sometimes feel like doing scenery. This video makes me want to get some more scenery done. It’s nice seeing how other people do things. There are natural things that can be used for scenery too. I’ve found some of those small little fox tail looking weeds that often grow on the shoulders of roads work nice for dry grasses. You can pull tufts out of them and glue them around as just one example.
that mitered corner on the grafiti wall that u were concerened about actually looks really good like that, kind of like the old wall is failing due to mousture freezing in the winter pushing the wall apart
Great video as they all are, thank you for your experience and help. One thing, your videos are all recorded with you voice so low that I have to turn the volume all the way up. That’s not a problem until an ad comes on then their volume is 20x what yours is. It’s not going to stop me from watching, just wanted you to know.
This was very useful. I already use many similar (if not identical) techniques but this really showed me where I can improve, along with great demonstrations of products I should try. Thank you for pulling it all together.
Great video, tips and techniques. Just fyi - your volume is very low on this video I had to turn computer volume to max to hear you. Again, great video!
Very nice presentation Doug'.. My sincere condolences on your better half. May she rest in peace. No more pain...
Been in crazy hobby for fifty years. and I'm still learning new stuff all the time. Thanks Doug!
Always something new to learn! Thx for watching
I love seeing progress on your layout! It’s so inspiring!
That's quite a compliment coming from the most inspiring person in the hobby!
Great video - scenery is my favorite part of building a layout!
No straight lines or measurements!
I have a hard time being random. My brain thinks geometrically.
Dude, your attention to detail is awesome..in my opinion....of all the train stuff, yours looks best...
Thanks!
Doug, great tutorial on scenery. Some great take-aways there.
Thank you for sharing, it looks really good.
Cheers, and stay safe, Michael
Thanks Michael!

It's so much fun to watch a master at work. Thanks.
Great video as always Doug! Those bushes from Martin are great. Definitely need to add those to the scenery materials!

I'm always keeping an eye out for weeds, roots to use. Better stuff out west though, east coast plants not as good. Thx for watching.
Patience, variety and taking your time - "less is sufficient" are all useful modelling hallmarks. Thank you so much for sharing this.
That’s great looking. Thanks for your insight.

Doug nice demonstration/tutorial. I really like the "rawness" of the video. Look forward to the next installment.
Glad you're enjoying it, thx for watching!
Wonderful! And I enjoy your humor. That’s totally how my scenery goes. “Oops, that didn’t work!” Except no one is watching!
Mistakes are the best teacher! Thx for watching

A small screen sifter used in baking would be good for applying the dirt.
I've tried many ways, the cup works best for me but I should revisit the sifter.
Nice scenery tutorial -- TYSM!
Thank you!
You're quite welcome, @@FosScaleModels

... where did you find the rusty ( Studebaker ) truck?
Thanks
top , senssacional , parabens .
What is the spray of isopropyl alcohol for? Thanks. Everything looks great!
Your attention to details is impressive i have the same headache inducing issue! N scale makes it very hard.
Adding acrylic paint to the Sculptamode before applying to the layout prevents white coloring from peaking through due to chipping.
Have you tried goop I use it you don't have to worry about the white showing though.
I have, works great as well. Sometimes I add india ink to Sculptamold , that helps as well.

Will look into that!
