Doug, I had my heart in my mouth when you started pushing the building through the band saw, I had though, "Uh Oh - not good", but it worked out. That street scene is really taking shape and looking great. Thank you for sharing, and cheers, and stay safe, Michael
An insulation knife might have worked but you came out ok. Your kits are so beautiful, I'd die trying to do that especially since I don't have a ban saw.😊
That really came apart nicely, sweating bullets when doing bandsaw but glad it worked out. That’s an awesome reuse of buildings, fits the area really well. Can’t wait to see finished scene.
I like your comment about weighing time to cut it up versus building another one! It can be a tough decision, but in my estimation you made the correct decision. Anything else going under the saw???
Doug, I know that was more painful for you to do than for us to watch. However, I'm glad your work will get showcased on the layout. Also, this clearly will save you some time. Again, thanks for showing us the good, bad, and the ugly. I'm sure you will blend things beautifully.
A truly interesting video ...... great demonstration tat ANY scenery can be "repurposed" successfully if you're willing to take a risk and just do it! 👌👍😎
That was painful for me to watch. Such a nice diorama to get hacked up. Well, you had to do what you felt you had to do. I would have loved that diorama sitting on my shelf!
Nerves of steel! Thanks for showing us that anything is possible, after all it's just wood, paint, glue and foam.
The good news is, the butchery was very worth it! Excellent content, Doug.
Thanks Craig!
10:59 … this is more exciting and intense than any Crime scene series.

Man, you have guts to slice & dice a beautiful diorama. That street scene looks great already.
Thx, it was worth it.

Great episode! Love the terrain and scale buildings that you have on your layout!

You ripped my heart. Amazing piece of art. Good luck wish you all the best.
Your a brave man Doug! Wonderful Job!
This was such an awesome video! It really shows your commitment to building the best layout you possibly can! It certainly is my favorite layout!
Thx Jason - it's FINALLY coming along
Gutsy move but everything is salvageable with some restoration techniques. Nice job Doug!
Thanks 👍

Thanks Mike!
Great video ❤
a decoracao esta fantastica
GAAAA!!!! As a builder of Flatiron, I hated seeing you cut up the diorama! Didn't you have a copy of it, or laser cut a new set???
Weighing the time to build another one, or just cutting this one up - time wins!
I was yelling to stop Do we not have a company that makes kits
I can't bring myself to build the same thing twice...
Cringeworthy to watch - but in the end nice "demo" work - looks like a great fit to the new area
