- The Cricut Mug Press is a SUPER user friendly mug press that lets you make beautiful mugs in minutes. There are no heat or pressure settings to remember and the results are amazing. It’s small, easy-to-use, and works like a champ. Every mug I’ve made has turned out gorgeous. These mugs feel like what you’d buy at Target or wherever -- they’re smooth, shiny, and look super professional. Better than vinyl or screen printing - the ink infuses right into the surface of the mug and the transfer is utterly seamless.

This looks like such a fun project!!!
It really is fun to do!
Love your videos thank you so much for them, they have helped me alot.
You are so welcome, Darlene! Glad you like them! 😍
I observe that you can buy ceramic sublimate mugs wholesale. There is usually a minimum purchase (the one I saw was 100 mugs), so the answer there is to team up with other folks and go in together on the purchase of some mugs.
You CAN buy sublimation mugs in quantities less than 100! Try looking on Amazon, or Cricut.com! 😉🥰
@@JenniferMaker Yes, but probably not at $0.73 each, is what I meant.
This is a really good idea to have people that will share the cost.
@@lindabradford9591 Yes, and you get a better deal per unit, too.
I’d love to see how you make a design in design space to put the same design on both sides of a mug. I think I know how, but would like to see how you do it. Thank you.
Great idea, Ruth! 😍
Happy birthday to your mama we have the same birthday
Well, Happy Birthday to you, too, Sandra!! 🎁
It would help if we could start with what to place first, second, or third on the and in what order when you are cutting this out to have it show correctly on the sticky paper... how do you get the plastic , etc. off of the mug... please advise on this.
This tutorial may help if you are wondering about layering the Infusible Ink sheets. jennifermaker.com/layered-infusible-ink-mugs/
Love this!!!!
😍
I loveeeeee it I can’t wait for one
Not long to wait! March 11th! 🥰
Thank you so much for this great and helpful video!
Glad it was helpful!
Happy Birthday to your momma ❤️❤️
Thanks!
I would love to know what you got into before doing this video. Your hands and nails are red. LOL Great video. Just got my mug press delivered yesterday and immediately ran across the street to Michael's for mugs. Cannot wait to make the Butterfly edge mug. My saying will be "Creativity Is Intelligence Having Fun" ...a quote by Albert Einstein
Have fun! 😃
You are terrific. Thank you.
Happy to help!
Thank you for sharing your Mug Wrap svgs. I made the "Alexa Heart" and the "Alexa Butterflies". They are beautiful! However, the "Alexa Stars" cannot be made on JOY, as the size of project defaults to 5.5" x 12.25". Too big for Joy. It will not let me change the size. Could you help change this pattern? Love the "Alexa Stars" svg. Help, please! I need size to be 4.25" X 10.73". Thanks, you are the BEST!
YOU can change the size of the SVG yourself, Bettie! Just go to this blog post for help! JenniferMaker.com/resize-svg-files-Cricut-design-space/
You can do screen print on the bottom.
The plate on the bottom doesn't get hot enough to the sublimation process.
Thank you for the review. Makes me want one. :)
Glad I could help
omg.. opening from the bottom of the box!! 🤯
What? 😃😊
I like your design “I can’t I’m Crafting today”!
Thank you!
I love your videos
Thank you so much, Sheila! 😍
Can’t wait to order on the 11th.
I can't wait to see what everyone makes!
That my Birthday too
Awesome!😃
Trying to find the cup design that you make with the Infusable ink look like if was from 2021 , can’t find it. Love the beautiful, edging, and.
Which one? Here is the tutorial with links to the mug wraps (#288 in the library) and other designs. jennifermaker.com/cricut-mug-press-ultimate-guide/#get_my_free_svg_files_to_make_cricut_mug_press_projects
In this Video, you mentioned that having the templates, for the dotted monogram you did. I love the look of them. But can’t find the info for the template. Do you have a video on the mug press you did on the Mug for the dotted monogram?
Look at file #293! 💕
I'm sold!!
Yay! I like it too! 😃
Do you have a video that shows you how to make the mugs that you have displayed on here?
Here is a link for you to check out: jennifermaker.com/layered-infusible-ink-mugs/ 💕
You leave no question unanswered.
So cool!
Isn't it?? 🥰
Can you use a tumbler on the mug press?
This is my question as well
It is designed for a straight mug. Your mug must have a poly coating and straight walls. It is important to look for sublimation (poly-coated) mugs. Other mugs will not work. The Cricut Mug Press accommodates mugs in sizes from 11 oz. - 16 oz without any manual adjustment.
So I ruined my 1st mug, I guess I didn't mirror?!? In order to save my mug can I just use a solid sheet of infusible ink, and heat press that over the top of my messed up design? Then can I use pens over the top of that new layer and write on top of the solid color. So in effect it would be heat pressed several times...what do you think?
It is worth a try to see what happens.
Was wondering if you can put an image on the bottom of the mug, and if not, why? I think it would be fun to have a smiley face or winking eye as you lift the mug
You don't seem to be able to, Lori! The bottom does not seem to get hot enough to sublimate the ink. It heats up, but only enough to provide a consistent heat around the perimeter of the mug. That WOULD be fun, though, wouldn't it? 😂
can you use same mug cup if you mass up How Cleanoff infusible ink
We have a tutorial and video about removing sublimation ink from tumblers, the same process should work for mugs. 😊🌻
I saw these really cool coffee to go tumblers will they work in heat press
You can use poly coated tumblers. Here are some different one that we made with the mug press. jennifermaker.com/cricut-mug-press-sublimation-blanks/
How much will it be 🥰💜
$199
😍
The mug press alone is $199.99 on Cricut.com! You can also get bundles there. HOWEVER, the press will not be available for sale until March 11th, so don't even try to buy it until then, if you are interested! 😉🥰
Yay! Very excited and will use your discount code! Thank you so much 💜
I loved the video, thanks. I like the font and was trying to use it for a project but can't find it in my cricut design space. Do you know how I can find it?
Glad it was helpful! That font is available on a few different sites, search Tingler Script.
are the cricut mugs or sublimation mugs microwave and dishwasher save
Yes, they're both dishwasher and microwave safe. 😊🌻
@@JenniferMaker thank you just wanted to make sure i bought the 6 pack of the 12 oz and the 6 pack of 15 oz mugs im so excited to make my first mug
Can you put a cylinder money box in the cricut mug press?
Here are other blanks that we tested. If it fits and is a sublimation blank. jennifermaker.com/cricut-mug-press-sublimation-blanks/
So cool. Wondering if we can print on other items, such as metal water bottles, with the cricut press?
Yes you can but they need to be sublimation and fit the size. Your mug must have a poly coating and straight walls. It is important to look for sublimation (poly-coated) mugs. Other mugs will not work. The Cricut Mug Press accommodates mugs in sizes from 11 oz. - 16 oz without any manual adjustment. jennifermaker.com/cricut-mug-press-sublimation-blanks/
I need this!!!
It is SO cool, Tina! 😍
Thank Jennifer for this video! I can’t wait to order mine first thing on the 11th. I have tried other Mug Presses, Convection ovens etc. This looks light years simpler and I hate when the mugs come out like your first one. I think this will be an amazing investment. I do sublimation products and this will be amazing. Thanks again!!!💕
Thank you so much!
Can I use any random design, like BlackPink, or any celebrity or Star Wars?
You can use any design you like 🥰
Can you put one layer in and then again another layer warming the mug more than once?
That is not recommended but here is the link to my layering infusible ink mug post, jennifermaker.com/layered-infusible-ink-mugs/ 💗
In other mug press videos I've seen, they wrap the design in paper before putting the mug into the press. You did not. Just curious why you didn't They used either butcher paper or regular computer paper.
You certainly can. The carrier sheet is a good protection barrier.
It can get very costly. Nice if you are only going to do a few. Wish you didn't have to buy separate inks, special vinyl and special mugs. so sad I won't be getting one.
This is not for vinyl. Only Infusible Ink.
I'm in trouble, now - I WANT IT!!!
I think many people are going to be in trouble, Cheryl! 😂
where do i find tingler font you mention in this video
The fonts are linked in the notes section of the blog post. 😊🌻
Jennifer, thank you! I finally got it. had to go buy a new blade. i have a question, can you put designs on the inside of the mug?
Not with the Cricut mug press.
Oh cool! I wish Cricut would send me one, we could compare with our bulky mug press.
This little machine could probably make my life a tiny bit easier 😍 Oh well. Someday. YOU... Jennifer, just made me buy a Maker since they were on sale! 😜😏Maybe "made" is a touch strong but it IS your fault I bought it now. If I'd known this was coming, I'd have waited.
😂😂😂😂😂😭🤡😂😂😂😂
LOL! Didn't know I was so influential with you, Suzy Anne! 😂 It's always great to have one more thing to look forward to, and you will NEVER regret buying a Maker! 😍
Having trouble setting , my heat setting.
On the mug press? It sets itself. All you have to do is turn the power on and wait till the light turns green and then place the mug inside. The indicator lights will show the progress and it will beep when it is finished.
Jennifer I find your videos interesting and helpful. I have a question I ordered what I thought was infusible ink for use in my mug press from amazon. What I received was transfer ink sheets. Is this the same as infusible ink?
Jennifer, I love you videos. Thank you for all the details. Does the double cut method work with the cricut maker? Mine did not keep the sticky back intact, just cut through the ink and the backing.
Yes, you might need to only cut it once if it cut all the way through. :)
Jennifer I want to make a soccer mug but I can't work out how to have a soccer design down the side of the mug wrap, can you help please.
You can find a free soccer ball in Design Space and then slice out the edges of my mug wraps and add the soccer balls in place of what you sliced out.
Good afternoon do you have a video on using mug press with Magic Mugs or do we use them like the regular mugs? Thank you in advance for your help.
Magic Mugs? Are you meaning color changing mugs? Or can you clarify? :)
Is there a way to put photos on it?
It is used with Infusible Inks
Perfect!
Isn't it cool? 😍
Jennifer do you use butcher paper with infusible Ink?
Yes
Can you use any blank mug?
No
Your mug must have a poly coating and straight walls. It is important to look for sublimation (poly-coated) mugs. Other mugs will not work. The Cricut Mug Press accommodates mugs in sizes from 11 oz. - 16 oz without any manual adjustment.
I made my first project on the Cricut Mug Press today. Unfortunately, something went horribly wrong. I used infusible ink and my cup is the color of the ink which was supposed to be black but it's a very dark burgundy. I can barely see the word "Believe". What did I do wrong?
Check out jennifermaker.com/sublimation-color-problems 😊🌻
Hi I have just purchased the mug press & mugs. What else do I need to buy to be able to start designing my mugs?
This blog post may help, Maria! jennifermaker.com/cricut-mug-press-ultimate-guide/
How do I save my design to cut with my scan n cut?
I'm not sure, I only use Cricut and Design Space. 😊🌻
I am so getting this LOL
Yay! I'm so glad!
Does the mat come with it? Or does it have to be purchased separate
That mat does need to be purchased separately, Debi! 🥰
Can you make a mug with a wrap design AND a written part with the pens?
You can but it may alter the Infusible Ink wrap design.
Jennifer, thanks for all your videos. I have a question regarding Cricut infusible ink transfer sheets. Do you know if the same infusible ink transfer sheet can be used two times and just give me a very faded shade of the original color on the second press? I want to do a mug with an initial and name but I want a background pattern in the same (faded/lighter) color as the initial so that the initial stands out. Also, if it can be done, what steps would you yourself take to do that? I was thinking of pressing the infusible ink transfer sheet first on a piece of scrap fabric for only a couple of seconds to get some of the ink off and then doing the mug and hopefully getting a faded shade for my background pattern.
Jacqueline, It is not recommended to press it twice. The second press won't look very good due to all of the ink being drawn out of the transfer during the first press.
@@JenniferMaker I want a very faded shade of the original color of the infusible ink sheet as a background (kind of like a watercolor/watermark background is the best I can describe). Do you know if it will do a very faded shade on the second press?
im having trouble getting my cricut to cut the infusible ink without tearing it? help
Infusible material is the only material to use with the mug press
Yes
Hello Jennifer the 2nd and fourth lights are blinking and my mug press shuts off what may be the problem
Sounds like you should contact cricut.com for that.
I am curious to know if this can be used on metal To Go cups or travel water bottles?
I don't know for sure, but we are thinking that as long as the metal is sublimation you would be fine, Audrey! 😊
Hi Jennifer, I missed the live but had a question, not sure if you know the answer but, you mentioned that infusable ink is a chemical and should be used in a well ventilated area, does that mean the design should be kept away from the area we will be putting our lips?
P.S. thanks for all the info 😊
That's correct, Natalie! I would keep it 1/2" or so away from where lips may be touching the mug, just to be safe! You are welcome for all the info - thanks for crafting with us!! 😍
Jennifer, can you use it with 3rd party mugs? Like for example, mugs from dollar tree or even TjMaxx, etc?
You don't have to use Cricut mugs, but you DO need to use sublimation mugs! They have a special coating that will accept the ink! Dollar Tree and other places usually don't hve these kinds of mugs. 😊
Can you do photos with the mug press?
Yes you can! You need printable sublimation paper. 💕
Do you have to have a cricut maker for the cricut mug press
You do not. The mug press works independently. You will need to register the Cricut mug press the first time you use it through cricut.com.
