WOW Alex I have watched so many of these tutorials to make our company cups and could not figure it out! Thank you so much I was able to do it and you made it so easy. I just followed you and put it on pause until I completed the step you did work great! Thank you again
What a great idea! I learned so much just watching this video. I've had my mug press for 2 months and have not used it yet. But I am now inspired. Thank you for sharing.
Hello Alex! I just love all your tutorials! 💗 I know I'm always asking you questions... I would l Iike to know if I can use infusible ink sheets to make a correction on something the was printed on a infusible printer. I don't have the printer. Someone printed it for me. Anyhow...when they did it up for me. They got one number wrong, 357 instead of 356, and it's in black. So I thought maybe I could cut out a 6 with my infusible ink sheet and attach it over the 7. But I wonder if it would show the lump of the infusible ink sheet? I hope you understand what I'm trying to ask. Thank you...😊
Hi Terry! If you try to press another number over your Infusible Ink I believe that will discolor the rest of the design. If I were you, I would start over with a new mug.
Oh I see! The colors may be slightly different, but I think it would work fine to combine Infusible ink with a sublimation print as long as it’s all in the same press.
WOW, you made this look so easy! One day in the near future, I'll have the confidence to try this! Think a different colored star would be my 1st try at layering colors. QUESTION...why use such a large piece of black sublimation paper? Can't it be cut down to conserve & reuse later?
Is it easy! I wanted a piece of heat resistant tape to go all the way around the mug, but if you wanted to you could place the words and the trees individually without one big piece of transfer sheet. But use a simple font so it’s not such a pain! ☺️
So I'm a little confused because I see some people not using a template and just putting their design onto the mug & they dont use butcher paper either unless its made with a marker...whats the right way?
It depends on the design! If the design is small you can just tape it on. If it wraps around, then a template helps size it. But it’s never required! Sublimation ink bleeds through a lot, so I think butcher paper is a good idea so you don’t get any bleeding onto your press. But everyone does things a little differently!
I haven't searched for an answer yet, but any tips on flattening out the Infusible Ink paper before using it? I can't get my letters to weed because it is curled up from being in the box, or the letters will pop off the backing (like when I want the cup to stay white and the letters to be the ink color) I hope this makes sense! I LOVE LOVE LOVE your videos! Thanks so much!
Hello Alex I am having an issue trying to select both the smaller trees to copy them. My views in the maker are a bit different then yours. Every time I click on one it acts as if to resize instead of join. Any suggestions?
Have you heard of TRANSFER MAGIC-Inkjet Transfer Paper. I heard you don’t have to use sublimation Ink just regular Ink please give your opinion or test results thanks in advance
No I haven't. If something says you can sublimate with inkjet ink then it's probably not a good product because that is not possible. You can use printable vinyl, but that is not the same as sublimation.
This was great Alex! I've watched many videos on infusible ink and mug making and yours is by far the best. Thanks so much Alex!
I absolutely LOVE the soft music in the background! It just adds to the vibe of the video
Thank you! ❤️

Yay! I hope you get the time and confidence to try a project! You're welcome!
Great tutorial! I'm going to have to try this now.
You should! It’s so easy!
Great tutorial
Thank you!
VERY clever and well presented. Thank you
Great job!
hi, thanks for a great presentation. I would like to know if I can place a specific logo to be on my mug?
If you can upload the image into cricut design space then you can!
That was great and informative!
Thank you! ☺️
Such a cute design❤️
Thank you!

@@DIYAlex I have not applied to mug yet. I printed out and realized my number mistake.

It can definitely be a pain! Have you tried weeding while it’s stick to the mat? That may help! Thank you so much 💕!
Love this. Where can I get that font?
Thank you! It is called Snow Bunny and it's linked in the video's description.
Loved the video and can't wait to try it but how did you preheat the mug?
I didn’t preheat the mug. I don’t find gosh step necessary ☺️.
Hello Alex

Did you try selecting the layers and clicking duplicate at the top of the layers panel?
Have you heard of TRANSFER MAGIC-Inkjet Transfer Paper. I heard you don’t have to use sublimation Ink just regular Ink please give your opinion or test results thanks in advance

Can you use alcohol pads to clean the mug?
Yes you can
I just picked up the cricut mug press. I'm afraid to break it. Lol
Don't be! This tutorial will help! I have several mug press tutorials if you need more detail!
i didnt know you used shift key to slice
You don't use the shift key to slice. You use it to select multiple layers at once. I hope that helps!
So, I figured out that you need to hit the shift key to join the two images.
Yep! That’s how you select multiple layers. You need to join them by using one of the actions after selecting them.
