Happy BirthdayTelma Louise Hopkins. Born October 28, 1948 An American singer and actress. She rose to prominence as a member of the 1970s pop music group Tony Orlando and Dawn, which had several number one songs May God grant you everlasting happiness, knowledge, love and understanding for many many more years to come🎁🎈🎊🍷🍷🎉🎂!
Used to love watching her as Aunt Rachel on Family Matters!! Laura Winslow???? Na ah, buddy-- the true beauty on the screen was Telma Hopkins as Aunt Rachel!!!!!
What a great song! I love those girls! I had a "HUGE" crush on Joyce Vincent-Wilson I hated that she was married. I really loved how she sings. I did see that Joyce is on the Former Ladies Of The Supremes. Joyce is still a beautiful lady and unbelievable singer… Keep singing Joyce! P.S. I did get this year on iTunes Joyce recorded a Christmas song called: "Christmas In Your Eyes" I did not know about it until I heard it on the radio and mention her name after the song was over what a big surprise I was totally shocked when they said Joyce Vincent of Tony Orlando & Dawn what a wonderful song. what a wonderful Christmas gift to me and too the rest of the world! Check it out..
Thanks for the tip Scotty! I'll check out Christmas In Your Eyes. Joyce does have an amazing voice, as does Telma. Their vocals blend beautifully and were often overlooked when they were with Tony Orlando as they were largely viewed as background singers. Don't get me wrong, I loved Tony Orlando and Dawn as a group, but I'm always happy to hear Telma and Joyce vocals get the credit they deserve in their own right as well.
I totally agree with you! I am truly a Dawn fan. To me Joyce Vincent-Wilson, Telma Hopkins and Joyce's sister Pam Vincent made huge hits with Tony Orlando! Did you get Tony Orlando & Dawn Christmas Reunion CD that came out in 2005? it is a wonderful Christmas CD. What was so good about the CD the girls were more on the CD. Don't get me wrong I love Tony Orlando he has a wonderful singer but the girls really made him shine. Joyce's sister Pam was on of the Tony Orlando & Dawn recordings she did all of the background vocal arrangements and vocals so to me Dawn comprised of three ladies. Pam was not on their TV show because Pam was touring with Aretha Franklin. But when Telma was doing the TV show sitcom Family Matters Pam went on tour with Tony and Joyce as Tony Orlando and Dawn in the late 80's and early 90's.
scottyluvsmusic I do have the Christmas Reunion cd. Not only is it a great Tony Orlando and Dawn album, but it's one of the best Christmas albums I've ever heard. During their heyday, like a lot of fans, I wasn't aware of Pam's participation or influence on the group. It was only later, when the TOAD catalog was reissued that I learned of her. I'm glad she was able to get the credit she deserved on the Christmas cd. I guess it's too much to hope for for them to ever do another album of new music or tour again, but boy, wouldn't it be wonderful if they did!
Check this out add out on RUclips of Joyce, Scherrie and Lynda going to Switzerland. Joyce looks beautiful as ever and so do Lynda and Scherrie. type in on youtube search: "Legends on Stage 2015: The former Ladies of the Supremes"
I always loved when they spotlighted Dawn on the show. No offense to Tony Orlando but they showed that Telma and Joyce were a whole lot more than just backup singers.
im a fan of Telma Hopkins she played Phyllis's on half and half, tv show, and she use to sing with Olando & Dawn, tie a yellow ribbin around the old tree, is one of my favorates.

Love this song! Telma Hopkins, Joyce Vincent should have recorded an album. These ladies can sing and they are so beautiful!
If you could tap the energy in Telma Hopkins smile, you could light up NYC
Great analogy!
Both of these women were beautiful goddesses !!!
Telma still is...she hardly ages!

HBD Joyce Vincent Wilson! ♥
born December 14, 1946
They put out a “sequel “ to this song..it was called “Stink Finger You, Lou”

Wow,this sister really worked hard in that industry and never did she play herself. All the strong black women are really dwindling .
Classic!
I love Telma and Joyce sooooo much!!!

Don't forget Aunt Rachel on Family Matters.
Anne Murray version much better!
Does she sing and dance any better than these talented ladies?

@@xr2863 Actually, she does.
