Love it...they sing it better than anybody!! Been a fan of Tony's since 1973, I was 9 years old!! Beautiful person and entertainer...nobody these days like Tony!!
@avalisme I may be biased. . . but being a child of the 70s, I feel lucky. We had great TV shows (like the ones you mentioned, so well written) and let's not forget The Carol Burnett Show. I also loved the music of the 70s more than any other decade. As kids, we also had the best toys too.
I was 8 years old in 1973, my Mom LOVED Tony so fair to say, I saw this show every week. The 70s really were a different time, it was OK to like this... or maybe I was just young enough not to know 'better'. Man, it was great being young!
The arrangement for Abraham Martin and John was amazing...showcased each beautiful voice. What talent. That is when music was music...not garbage like most of today's
I'm sure like sooo many others.. I had such a Huge crush on Tony O! Was glued to the TV and couldn't take my eyes off his face! SOOO GORGEOUS, and more importantly.. just seemed like a Beautiful Soul and Gentleman. Boy do I miss those days and terribly sometimes~ Still love You Tony.
Tony was for a long time my aunty platonic love, i think she still have the Long Play after all this years. I also came to like Tony and Dawn songs. Knock three times , Candida and Yellow ribon
Wow! I love this group! I am such a "HUGE" fan of "Joyce Vincent" see is just a sweetheart and a wonderful singer. If you look up the word humble you would see Joyce Vincent name beside it that is what makes Joyce stand out and of course her true beauty inside & out! :)
@lexky0521 I agree. I was about the same age when I used to watch the tv show with my folks. It's unfortunatel that these variety shows don't exist any more. Lucio
Mad Greek I tell everyone to get the Tony Orlando and dawn series on DVD.you can see why they had hit after hit.70s tv had tv shows like these.glad I was there to see them.hope you do another special.
Could you please post some of their comedy skits(esp. Lou Effy and Moreen) if you have them? I love the Tony Orlando and Dawn show and I would like to see some of the episodes that aren't on the DVD again. Thanks and God Bless!
How did this guy ever get into showbiz? He was never a good singer! He never had any talent. As for calling himself a born again Christian, he is not a Christian! A Christian does not continue to perform in ungodly places such as Las Vegas and any other ungodly places. All these entertainers such as Pat Boone and Cliff Richard etc. who perform in worldly places have no business calling themselves Christians! The TV show Tony and Dawn had in the 1970's was lame and sappy. None of them had any talent!
RUclips is awesome because I keep coming across these great old videos of songs I'd forgotten in my 77 years.
Always watched this during my years in the Air Force, These 70's music shows were the best!
Agreed
Love it...they sing it better than anybody!! Been a fan of Tony's since 1973, I was 9 years old!! Beautiful person and entertainer...nobody these days like Tony!!
In my personal opinion the 70's was the golden age of television.
