I like the rugged design of the older bb36 more.
New one, jubilee bracelet is mint
TUDOR Smiley is the best!!!😍
Wow, I was a regular WUS contributor many years ago. Don't really do that anymore, but really cool to know you guys are sponsors. Oh yes, back to your question - I'd take either iether and be super content if it were my only watch!
I prefer the looks of the OG (love the smiley).
I'd take the new one Brad: better movement, bracelet and dial. No contest for me! To put this into context, the older model was being offered really cheaply on Montredo recently. They might even have some left...
The old smiling explorer any day of the week. I guess Tudor answered the question some may have had whether this was a tool, or sporty dress watch.
Five link (Jubilee) for sure. I prefer the dial, think the band makes it wear larger, and dressing it works well at that size.
Case, bracelet and face of the new, hands, crown and smile on the old... Either way though they are both great watches
I've seen both in person... the newer one fits and shines like a charm... the diamonds look tasteful as well.
If I could only have one, I would keep the older model, no question. For me, this comes down to dial color and design. Despite the tangible improvements to the movement and bracelet in the newer edition, I much prefer the previous model's matte blue (and the previous silver over the newer champagne dial), along with the classic "smiley" text at the bottom. Is this a case where change for the sake of change went too far?
They need to offer both bracelets on the new model, and no more yellow gold hands and indices.
Looks alone the older model. Better contrast on the dial.
Hi Brent, would the three link bracelet of the old BB36 fit on the new one?
Great question that I don't know without trying. When I'm back in store if they are both still in inventory I'll have our watchmaker give it a go.
5 link with in house movement no doubt, just look at that sun burst on the dial! 😍
Brad I have a question how many jewels has the BB36 (5 link)?
And the BB 54 how many jewel as well?
Both use the MT5400. Quick search appears to be 27 jewels for this movement.
@@brentmillertime8778 36 movement?!
For the blue, new version. For the black, old version. For the silver, I love my old version but with the 5 links bracelet from Unclestrap :D. Is the bracelet interchangeable? And does Tudor sell the bracelet separately?
Good question on interchangeable. Will have to have our watchmaker check that out if both still in stock. You can purchase bracelets separate.
That pre-owned didn’t last long huh? Don’t see it on site.
Admittedly, pre-owned are not always updated quickly. Believe it's still available.
