Man, that OP is just a banger. The Tudor is nice as well, just something about that hour hand throws off the aesthetic for me imo. Would I own both if I could? Hell yea😂
looking at them side by side I have to say the Tudor doesn't have anything to envy the Rolex. Also, the pictures on the Tudor website do not do justice to how the watch looks in person. I have to say, the Tudor takes it for me, only because it's so hard to get a Rolex now a days, but even then the jubilee bracelet on the Tudor looks better on the watch, the lume is better, and its pretty much the same as Rolex.
Great comparison, Brad-I've seriously considered both of these. Seeing them side-by-side (which I've not been able to do) shows how distinctive they are, each with it's own personality, despite their similarities in size and color. The Tudor really holds its own and is definitely an appealing alternative. That said, the Oyster bracelet looks more appropriate here (too bad it lacks the level of adjustment available on the Tudor!), and looking at the profile, the polished case of the Rolex shines. I prefer the Rolex, but it's closer than I would have guessed.
So close in virtually every way. Great video. I wonder about the servicing costs? Would Rolex be more expensive to service over the Tudor? (Tudor Ranger owner here and I love it!)
I know we can send some Rolex models in for servicing being a Tudor AD but I honestly don't know the difference in cost. I'll have to get with our repair coordinator and see if I can determine pricing.
Excellent comparison Brad and interestingly it proves what good value the Tudor is. It easily stands up to the OP and In my opinion with the brands logos removed, looks like the more expensive watch. The OP is definitely not worth double the price of the younger sibling.
Heey great video Brad, this is the sort of video comparison I wanted to see as I own the BB36 but wanted to see it vs a rolex... Tell me about the quality on both do you get satisfaction on the tudor as much as the rolex? Also how about the movement quality on both watches whats it like?
I only spent limited time with the pre-owned Rolex while doing the review but both felt terrific winding and setting. From what I read on the forums most people are happy with both movements from an accuracy, reliability and power reserve perspective. I'll keep "quality" thoughts to myself as I don't want to be biased but both felt great.
It's interesting, if you read Tudor reviews on any site, 97% of all negative ones are all about the snowflake hands. And that's the one thing I love. Its original. And even going back to vintage Subs, I wouldn't own a Tudor without it.
Would love to get hands on with that model as well. Unfortunately we don't carry Longines. From memory my only personal "gripe" was the five star logo didn't quite look right to my eye.
Rolex. The silver is the best of the OP dials IMO. The watch head is so thin and light it can be worn looser than a thicker piece and the Easylink is perfect.
Thanks for your opinion, and I think they're cool too. But if you actually had an Easylink bracelet you would see they're not so amazing. Kinda gimmicky, actually. They serve the same function as any bracelet with a dive extension. But only add 5mm, or the size of one link. You still need a tool for micro adjust at the clasp. But I guess it helps when your bracelet is not sized properly.
@@exvan3571 Ok, you know what, I actually reread my original comment and thought about the definition of arrogance. And this is one of the few times, I kind of think you're right and I can see how my comment could have been read like that. It was not my intention, and I apologize. Take care.
Hi Brad, you have 2 excellent watches there. The OP would protect your investment better, but the Tudor would have less expensive servicing and be less of a magnet for thieves. I would probably choose the Black Bay 39 actually, it fits perfectly and there's no Rolex equivalent at retail.
From the looks I prefer OP, but you cant buy it normally, and on chrono it costs 3x more than Tudor, so id rather buy Tudor and another watch for that price.
A new OP comes with 11 links , 5 at the six o'clock side, 6 at the 12 o'clock side. My OP36 is my favorite watch in my collection. I also love Tudor, but the OP is a better watch.
The Tudor is beautiful while the Rolex just looks boring. It has no highlights. The Tudor, now that it has got rid of the stupidly protruding crown, looks simply exciting. The dial is modern and serious at the same time and it looks even better in person.
Both are greats, this tudor realy similar in size and yes the tudor racelet is nice not like other tudor ..i am sure tudor give the same satisfaction than the rolex and for less money, just a question, this tudor used a in house mouvment or an eta ?
Try to love the bb36, but the snow flake hour hand isn’t a dress watch looking hand, more of a sports style. Also along with that it doesn’t blend in with the circle indices
In world where both exist unfortunately Rolex will hold better value so the difference in price will soon disappear if not that Rolex will be the better decision on the long term.

That OP is a dangerously good fit on you Brad.
I have owned Rolex and now a Tudor. Tudor for me.
That’s how I feel. I have 8 Rolexes and 3 tudors. Tudor a little thicc but it’s as good as the rolex
Me too. Have owned Rolex, now I only want Tudor.
That Silver OP is so gdm beautiful! I need to see my AD for that exact one! I’ve been thinking about it for months XD
Great comparison. Please keep these videos going. Thanks 🙏
Thanks for viewing, if you have suggestions for the brands we carry I'm always happy to oblige.

Hi Brad, now Black bay 39/36 vs Rolex datejust 36/41 😊
If we get pre-owned Rolex trades in stock I certainly will.
@@brentmillertime8778 Thanks man 🙂

Great comparison! Very close indeed. This time I prefer the BB over the OP, even if they were the same price.

@brentmillertime8778 basically the difference between the two you could say its the brand/name?

💯 in agreement. I love the snowflake hands. Guessing we can’t be the only ones.
I have the bb36 and I allways thought I might not like them but I do for the fact that it's easier to read the time with them especially in the dark
Great comparison - Tudor looks so much bigger, 1 mil here or there makes a big difference on the 36’s
I have to agree here. The BB really wears more like a 37-38 in my opinion.
My luxury watch I’m getting is a Tudor Black Bay 41mm Black Dial then a Rolex OP 36 Sliver hopefully in 5 years
Neither:
Look at the Longines Spirit 37mm
When you see the attention to detail and the layers that go into that dial you'll understand.
Would love to get hands on with that model as well. Unfortunately we don't carry Longines. From memory my only personal "gripe" was the five star logo didn't quite look right to my eye.

I though originally they come 12 links standard on oyster bracelet
@@TomxLuk22 36mm OPs come with 11 links from Rolex. 36mm Explorers come with 12 links.
Great comparison 👏👏👏
OP. Really don't like the diamond stick on Tudors. I do like the Jubilee bracelet on it though.
Concur. Diamond stick only works with sports bezels

Tudor is "in house" aka Kenissi movement
@@juanpablocorleone644 ok,so very cool, buying the oyster will be only for afirm social position...
I think the Tudor looks better.
Black Bay 36 for me. Five link bracelet with t-fit slaughters the oyster bracelet and boring clasp.
Tudor all the way.
It's just like an Explorer, only thinner, less pricey and available.
Did I mention the lume ?!
Rolex dial looks more elegant.
I prefer an oyster bracelet to a jubilee style.
I have both. Rolex is better for me
Try to love the bb36, but the snow flake hour hand isn’t a dress watch looking hand, more of a sports style. Also along with that it doesn’t blend in with the circle indices
I feel like you could wear the Tudor in almost any city on earth the Rolex not so much
Make a comparison 41mm, please
and include a Datejust 41
Would love to but unfortunately we are not a Rolex AD. If a used model comes in I'll surely do it.
one looks good, the other not so much
In world where both exist unfortunately Rolex will hold better value so the difference in price will soon disappear if not that Rolex will be the better decision on the long term.
If you sell the watch...
Tudor because of the bracelet.
Rolex is Rolex
Lol same watch different logo.
The Rolex is elegant, the Tudor is clunky
