Is it me or when USC scored their first touchdown you can hear exuberance in the guys calling the game........Haters gonna Hate...! uNDefeated GO IRISH
I think it was more USC playing their freakin' butts off tonight than poor play from ND. Just my thoughts. Many of the players love Helton from what I've heard and probably were "playing for their coach". Plus, ND definitely should be in the playoff. 7 wins over bowl eligible opponents (8 if Virginia Tech wins next week), three wins at least over Top 25 opponents, wins over two division champs (Northwestern and Pitt) and the win over Top 10 Michigan. That's impressive by any measure.
USC definitely butt ND in the mouth earlier. People keep forgetting that ND is playing a talented SC squad lead by an awful coach. Though ND is 12-0, they definitly got exposed tonight. They cannot play like that against Clemson, BAMA, UGA, OU, or OSU. They need to make some serious adjustments before the playoffs. This ND squad is way better than that 2012 squad, hopefully they play like it during playoff time.Minus BAMA, I think ND could stand toe to to with most of the other teams tbh.
@@Irish8625 This was a rivalry game. They're almost always close. Was OSU bad in 2014 for struggling with a 5-7 Michigan team (coached by Brady Hoke)? No they were not. Similar could be true here. Also, as you suggested Clemson looked VERY vulnerable tonight against S. Carolina. Same with OU last night, particularly on defense. If the ND defense gets some stops, that Irish offense would cut through the weak Sooner D like butter. OU is ridiculously weak in that area.
Dame will be in the College playoff since they get a pass from playing a Conf champion game . But they would be dominated by either Oklahoma or Ohio State which one will be left out .
I am of Swiss and German descent living in Switzerland and I have reddish brown hair so everyone thinks I am Irish so congrats to you guys. Good luck in the playoff, ND versus Clemson would be a good match up.
I do think they did as well. But they REALLY did need to make somewhat statement. Not just a win. But an exclamation of sorts. I mean 35-17 would have looked a little better. But it is what it is. I am proud of our boys regardless. I bleed blue & gold. Good or bad I'll always be 🍀 The IrishMarine.
Just will have to wait till the game happens. All years people been talking about how bad this team is but whenever they played top competition they showed everybody just how good they was and none of them was close. Michigan, Stanford, VT, northwestern, and Syracuse .
I think the 8700 miles of travel wore on them a little. It showed last night. USC did show up to play, which wasn't really a shock. But, after a lackluster 1st qtr, they woke up and it was 24-0 until one garbage time TD when ND second string DL was playing.
#1 Strength of schedule and the only team in the FBS to win 12 games against all FBS teams. Notre Dame travels the most out of any school and has wins against a top 10 Michigan team (beat them without Book or dex) #7 Stanford team (They were good at the time and a huge rivalry game) Virginia Tech (Extremely hostile night crowd, prime time game) Now ranked Northwestern team (Beat them at NU prime time night game by double digits) #12 Syracuse (Beat them at Yankee Stadium by 33 points) USC (Beat them for the 2nd straight year) The resume speaks for itself, ND is playoff bound and better than people think like the CUSE coach said.
Michael McGee it means that what Notre Dame did, win all 12 games, is the least likely for any other team to do. If ND played Alabama’s schedule, statistically speaking, Notre Dame would also be undefeated.
@@noahstout3288 I seriously doubt that. How about play a conference championship and then let them in the playoffs. Sorry it's not fair everyone else has to play those and in turn prevents them from possibly going to the playoffs while ND gets a pass. If that's the case. Any 1 lose team should jump ND for the playoffs. Yeah there is that case for Alabama not having to go but Alabama proves time and again to be worth going. Nd hasn't.
Says allot about the IRISH when they can beat a team that's bursting at the seams with furious determination and yet still come out with a win. Great job Notre Dame on your conquest over the city of Troy...
The Trojan defensive intensity is unbalivable in the first quarter and the offensive line looked like defending champions of old. IAM impressed with ND cool reserve, but the Trojan are a very great team to.
You really think Notre Dame have a shot against Bama, Georgia, Clemson or Ohio State? Notre Dame will need a Miracle to beat one of those team. It will be tough.
@Mr. Boss Yeah right, 12-0 and 11-1 for both of those team. Come back to me when you will have valid point, your contribution to this conversation is about High School level...
This game might have been closer than it should have, but I think you guys will be okay. Just need to rest up. It was the last game of a very tough stretch. Congrats on going undefeated in the regular season.
College football fans have such short term memories. How can anyone whine about an undefeated ND team with 3 top 25 wins making the playoffs over a OSU team that got blown out by Purdue and had numerous recent close games against the likes of Maryland or a OU team that plays no defense at all and wins games 55-45 on a regular basis. Teams criticize but ignore the fact that there's no way ND is not a top 4 team when you evaluate the college landscape objectively.
They aren't though. Oklahoma would torch them. They couldn't keep up with their offense. Notre Dame almost lost to Ball State, Michigan's great defense was a result of the bad offensive they played, that win doesn't hold much weight anymore. Notre Dame again barley gets by another trash team. If you think the win over Syracuse was huge win then your crazy because they aren't that good.
@@chuckee_chuck OU almost lost to Tech and actually lost to Texas. You don't need to keep up with their offense. You stop them twice...you win. Their team is 2-3 stops from losing which ND's defense definitely can pull off.
@@MrJlo1017 Dude Texas is a better team than the majority of the team's on Notre Dames schedule. Plus Dame hasn't even played a good offense. They are like Michigan, pretenders because of the weak teams they play
@@chuckee_chuck Texas is better than the majority of team's on ND's schedule but not all. ND has not lost which means they have beaten better teams than Texas which beat OU. That kind of proves my point. ND played a team in Syracuse that was dropping 40 a game and held them to 3. High scoring offenses with bad defenses is not a new concept for ND this year
@L Okay, and when we beat Clemson, you will say the same thing about BAMA. At least we are in the playoffs and that is all that matters you little hater.. We achieved our goal and the rest is just gravy. GO IRISH!
ND fans cannot win, I mean, ND goes 12-0 and are told they are a joke, are told they are the worst team in the playoffs, on and on the insults. So ND completes an undefeated season once again and then all the insults, as if it's the fault of the University of Notre Dame that they are in the playoffs, as if ND cheated or did something to tip the scales in their favor. Regardless that their schedule was no easier than Georgia, or Alabama, or Clemson, and perhaps more difficult than any of them. But are told, "no", ND does not deserve a spot. Really? I do not disagree that Oh State or Oklahoma or LSU would be as good a playoff contender as ND right now and yes there is a chance that ND will lose by a big margin in their first playoff game. But ya know what? Who cares ! Nothing will change the fact that ND went 12 and 0 while those who remain on the outside lost at least one game. We know, we know, many are furious that ND went undefeated and will say anything to stir up controversy. Or others complain that ND has no conference game. Well, here is some advice for you: Rather than stay angry and try as you might (and fail) to convince us that bama or georgia or clemson had a harder schedule, or that there are other teams that deserve the playoffs over ND because other teams play a conference championship, rather than do all of that and waste your breath, write to the people who are in charge of the playoffs and beg them to create an eight team playoff, and while you're at it tell them to do away with the conference championships. Now, this might help you to be less angry and complain less, as you do each year due to your inability to accept the final result of a four team playoff. PS: Good Luck with that letter to the committee for an eight team playoff. But if you cannot help yourself and must complain on RUclips, remember it's better to complain about the system and not the teams that make it in.
Yeah I remember when nd played Alabama in the national championship and nd was a joke. I'll give it too you this season though, your schedule was much higher quality than that year.
Just have nd join a conference... problem solved. Losing a close conference championship looks better for a potential playoff team than not playing one at all. Just saying
@Jason O'Daniel How about you compare UCF to those "ONE" loss teams that are ahead of UCF? Don't compare ND to UCF when both teams are undefeated and ND schedule is way tougher than that of UCF. Go shit on UGA, OU, LSU, OSU, Michigan or any other 1 loss team. UCF schedule is JOKE!!!!!!!!! Once UCF plays a tougher out of conference schedule then can you bring your crying ass baby on here but until then go piss on "MAINE, AUSTIN PEAY, AND SC STATE".. SMH
As a Nd fan USC had a great game plan on both sides of the ball. They played to their strengths early and often by throwing quick passes to the wideouts which neutralized any pass rush of ND. ND got 1 turnover early and one stop to a FG. On defense you could see they were committed to stopping run at all cost and bring a lot blitzes. They played their corners on an island against ND's big 6' 4 wideouts which is a high risk/high reward stragedy. They could do that b/c even though nd's WR's are big they aren't burners who get a lot separation. Only finke who is a shifty slot wr/punt return guy had some success. To me the key play was Gilliam's strip at end of 1sthalf that helped ND weather that storm. USC pass execution was tua like in 1st half. In 2nd half dropping okwara into zone coverage was really smart adjustment b/c passes were to quick for him to hurries anyway. Big sack for him right after book threw int on 3rd and 12. I felt like ND cleaned up a lot mistakes from past weeks by not having stupid dead ball penalties on offense. No complaints until maybe that 15yd on KO after going up 24-10. Sidenote: why is clark lea call 2 blitzs in row on USC last drive when zone coverage makes most since to at least tackle them before the endzone? That would have at least forced USC to use 1 or 2 of their last timeouts. It would have been a real nail biter then id USC recovers onside kick. Finally, I know ND has fans and haters, but they 12-0 and never gave up close to 30 points to anyone. That is impressive and consistent. I'll admit Clemson and bama are more dominant at times, but they have had inconsistencies also. IT will take close to perfect game to beat Clemson. NO one is beating bama unless they beat themselves as long as #13 plays 4 quarters.
USC disappointed me this year but two people talk ass about Notre Dame so Ima go brag about this game if they say they’re ass then pull up last year and pull up what rank we are it’s good to be a ND fan rn
All the ND haters. Just pissed because they have a bigger fan base than anyone. They are like the Pittsburgh Steelers. No matter where they go , they fill the stands
They even said, USC looked like a totally different team, last game of the year, Home game, job on the line, everyone plays Notre dame hard, USC has some if not the best talent in the country. Notre dame did not get crushed by purdue(OSU), they do not let you hang 50+ points on them(OU) they dont play the softest schedule (UCF).........and they never lost 12-0 they will be 3 or 2 depending if clemson wins. But if Georgia beats Alabama then neither OSU or OU is getting in
Good teams find ways to win even when they don't have their A game and that is exactly what N D did in this game, plus USC played very tough. This team is much better overall than the 2012 N D team and they will give anyone they play a good game. Go IRISH!
The usc offence is going to be good in a few years. It’s crazy to think their starting qb is supposed to be a senior in highschool but reclassified and graduated early.
This must have been frustrating for USC fans, the Trojans just couldn't get out of their own way. Right when you thought USC would seize the momentum and use it to their advantage, it was another drive-killing penalty or turnover. The Trojans outplayed the Irish in the first half but only had a three point lead to show for it. Notre Dame remained patient and confidence they would comeback and USC's constant mistakes made it much easier. USC had every chance to win this game.
Sloppy game in the end zone again. It wouldve been 31-17 if book didnt throw that int. However, we still racked up 480 yards of offense and oir defense was stoit after 10 quick points by SC. i have faith BK can fix these mistakes for clemson. Good job SC, you really did play lik a caliber team. Good luck against clemson, i know yall will win GO IRISH!!
People forget other factors, like the 8000+ miles ND traveled in the last month, the wear and tear of playing scrappy opponents who view ND as their Super Bowl time, after time, after time (Pitt, Navy, Northwestern, USC, etc.). The other undefeated teams have fewer strong opponents, and travel locally. Add in that USC was fighting with nothing to lose for bowl eligibility, to redeem a bad season, and to save their coach. This game wasn't close, and in my view was never in doubt. This USC team always scored earlier, but faded, while ND always comes on strong. The 24 unanswered points says a lot.
@@dominicgunderson You must have meant "if ND defenders didn't cause the fumbles". It's not like USC receivers just dropped the ball, those were literally take aways by the Irish D.
I can't take nothing away from Notre Dame, they did their thing. I just don't like how they get to kick back while everyone else is playing a 13th game; which subjects their players to injury.
Too bad. ND plays 12 FBS teams unlike Clemson and Alabama, and Ohio State and OU's schedules are a joke. When your strongest OOC game is against 6-6 TCU and Army, you get no sympathy from me.
PLEASE DON'T PUT THE RESULT IN THE TITLE. Some people aren't able to watch the game live (especially overseas) and want to watch the highlights without knowing who won. For those people watching the highlights who already know who won, they don't need the score or who won in the title.
I hoped that Wimbush would've started this season and was considered for heisman. If only Wimbush could've thrown the football and made smart decisions. But the Book QB change is probably the only reason ND went undefeated. GO IRISH
The ESPN commentary throughout the game was entirely annoying. One guy kept stating his opinion over and over again about what was wrong with USC even though they were ahead at the time. It really spoiled the game. I had to use my mute button every time he talked. Just cover the game. Don't editorialize constantly throughout the game showing extreme bias for your favorite team.
Yes the Irish won but you see, no matter the ranking or how your season is going. N.D. & USC carry tradition. Some of the best college football games come from those 2 universities. They'll be back. I'm proud of my IRISH. Good or bad.
Love the Dog. Speaking of dog; ND played one of the worst games of their season. So much more talent, even in coaching, than that lame USC team, and they just barely won
There is no logic. ND has done better against common opponents compared to other top 10 teams, harder SOS, and a better overall defense than mostly anyone else in the top 10, except for Alabama. Show me irrefutable logic illustrating why ND doesn't deserve a top 4 spot, other than your sheer bias, jealousy, and hatred.
Bear 7453 Yeah I know, this is coming from an ND fan not a hater, but they played like shit, USC had no business even being on the same field as them this year but they let them hang in all game.
@@mitch797 Rivalry game... ND had just finished traveling 8700+ miles for the second half of the season, they were tired. USC showed up to play and it took them a while to wake up. After 10-0, it was basically all Irish. Not sure what game you watched.
Not sure how it was all irish at all that game, USC was a onside recovery away from a very good chance to tie the game, right before that onside they nearly scored on 3 attempts and did on the 3rd. Not sure what game YOU were watching.
In the Playoffs anything can happen , But we have to play smarter and better , , Bama , and Clemson play strong in the last 2 Quarters , like a Cat playing with a mouse , let’s get some well deserved rest and play like Champions
Notre Dame makes a reported $15 million annually with NBC to televise home football games in an agreement that was extended in 2013. The deal runs through 2025. If Notre Dame were to join a conference, a certain amount of money would have to be spread through the conference, something that already happens in basketball and other conference sports. Basically, if Florida State vs Notre Dame is televised on ESPN, Boston College gets part of that money. Notre Dame already plays five ACC opponents per year on a deal which runs through the 2037 season. This bleeds into another issue - scheduling. If the Irish were to strike a deal to move full time to the ACC, they would end up playing eight conference games per season. Think about what this would do to the rest of the schedule. This leaves four open games. The Navy series isn’t going anywhere. I can’t see USC being removed from the schedule, and Stanford likely is staying put. That leaves one open scheduling slot per year. Notre Dame already plays a quality schedule, and it doesn’t show signs of slowing down. Future games are scheduled with Texas A&M, Ohio State, Wisconsin and Alabama, just to name a few. Most of these games wouldn’t fit on the schedule in an ACC world. This also correlates to the original argument - money. Notre Dame is a name brand, and obviously can draw on its own. But it’s a simple fact that a game between the Irish and Alabama or Ohio State will bring in more attention and money than a game between Notre Dame and Syracuse. The best part? Because of the NBC deal, Notre Dame doesn’t have to share that money with anybody. As for the “13th data point,” argument, where a team “needs” a conference title game, that seems to be a non issue. Yes, the Big 12 added a title game, but Oklahoma made the Playoff when the conference didn’t have one. The committee does seem to like that, but at the end of the day, compare schedules and honestly tell me an Oklahoma win over Tulane is more impressive than a Notre Dame win against Michigan. At the end of the day, the best place for the Irish to be - for the program fans alike - is right where they are as an independent. (FANSIDED)
Was at the game and ND didn’t look like a top 4 teams so I’m glad our team didn’t lose too ugly. We didn’t play our butts off, we just showed up in the second half of the game and scored one TD an unusual act considering we usually lead at halftime and then completely vanishes after ... now Helton is staying for another season, sadly all teams will get a free W from us.
Also lets not forget that ND traveled over 8,000 miles in the last 3 weeks of the season and still WON??? Hell there teams that cant even put in over 8,000 miles in a whole yr. Back off haters!!! ND showed that they belong in the playoff! Haters go hump another tree or dig a hole!!! You haters bickering is not gonna change ND from going to the playoff!!!! PEACE OUT!!!!
For all the ND haters saying they played no one. Below is ESPN’s strength of record after 12 games. Notre Dame second after Alabama. 1. Alabama 2. Notre Dame 3. Clemson 4. Georgia 5. OSU 6. OU Notre Dame could easily be #2 or #1. They beat 6 teams who were ranked at some point this season. Two of those are playing in conference championships (Pitt and Northwestern). Michigan has been Top 10 all year and ND won with their back up QB and RB. Syracuse lost to Clemson by 4, but lost to ND by 33. Stanford got smacked by ND, VT got smacked by ND. 7 victories over bowl eligible teams. 2 Conference championship contenders. 2 teams who were top 10 at one point. Never lost. Bama can’t say that, Clemson can’t say that, OSU can’t say that, Georgia can’t say that.
You can tell and show all these dorks the facts and stats but they'll still hate ND because their team isn't anywhere near the top 10. Many here who talk big never even put on football pads since they where seven and eight years old and worse never even graduated from the University they so happily support and it shows. GO IRISH!!! for God and Country!
Everyone saying Notre Dame doesn't deserve to be in because they don't play in a conference or for a conference championship, question!!!! Did you all have they same attitude a couple of years ago when Alabama made it to the national championship game and didn't only, not play in the conference championship, but didn't even win their division. But that was fair right? Or maybe is it because ESPN and Disney own the rights to the SEC, and the SEC has more people on the playoffs committee. And ESPN doesn't like ND because the Irish won't let them have info or allow them to make money off them. ND has their own television station, own licensing and brand without permission from NCAA and other programs. They literally are the only team televised every week without being designated to a conference.
Waw!!!!! Notre Dame is good! Waw!!!!!! Notre Dame has an elite defensive line! Waw!!!!!!! Notre Dame has an elite secondary!!!! Waw!!!!! Waw!!!!!! Waw!!!!! I can’t stop crying!!! Waw!!!!! My team is OSU and we lost to Purdue by 29 points!!! Waw!!!!! Waw!!!!! I don’t know what to do, Notre Dame is good this year with loads with NFL talent!!! Waw!!!!! Waw!!!! Mommy!!!!!!! Notre Dame is better than my team this year!!! Waw!!!!!! Waw!!!!!!!! My team is Oklahoma and we don’t have a defense!!! Waw!!!! Waw!!!!! Waw!!!! Waw!!!!!
Sorry ND fans, but I don't see how you're gonna keep up with Clemson or bama speed. Hell if you played OSU you would get torched with their speed. Impressive record, but you barely beat an overrated Michigan, which was massively exposed for their lack of speed against OSU. It was a good run, but you'll soon show why the committee never favors you. An OSU Clemson style embarrassment is coming your way.
We will neutralize their speed by multiple coverage's and pressure on their qb. We are way better then anyone wants to admit and the world will see when we win it all. #WeAreNotreDame
Why does everyone hate ND? They play a decent schedule every year 12 FBS teams yes they threw in Ball State but still an FBS team. Compared to most SEC teams scheduling 2 to 3 FCS teams I mean who would've thought that Stanford, FSU, VT, USC would all have off years. You can hate on ND all you want, but they went 12-0 with an all FBS schedule.
Everyone hated Notre Dame because it's a Catholic University, and like many protestants they're just pissed that their made up churches are 1500 years to late. Oh yea and maybe because there's no Lutheran or Baptists or what ever make believe religion power house football school.
You honestly think Notre Dame could beat Bama, Clemson, Oklahoma, or Ohio State ? I don't see it happening . I pray the committee makes the right decision and puts the best teams in.
We probably won't beat Alabama but Clemson is very reasonable. They almost lost to Syracuse. If ND even makes it too the championship, all I hope for is a more competitive game than 2012
What makes you think that a Clemson team that struggled to beat Syracuse would win? How about an Oklahoma defense that couldn't stop your grandmother, or an OSU team that lost to Purdue? Yes, I honestly think ND, who has a tougher SOS than all those teams, more top ranked wins than all those teams, and a defense that plays better than all those teams, and held Syracuse to 3 points could beat those teams. Use logic, and not hatred. The salt is strong with you.
The fact that Notre Dame, doesn't have to play, in any Conference Championship game......like the ENTIRE REST OF COLLEGE FOOTBALL......AND, GET AN AUTOMATIC INVITE, INTO THE 4-TEAM PLAYOFF.......IS "SUPER/NUCLEAR" LEVEL UNFAIR......THEY HAVE NO INCENTIVE TO JOIN ANY CONFERENCE, JUST SAYIN !!!!!!!!!!
Name one conference team has a schedule like Notre Dame every year. The play all of the top power five conferences a year. They schedule elite teams every year. The last five years, they played Clemson, Georgia, Texas, Stanford, LSU, Michigan, Oklahoma and more during the regular season, not playoffs only. Name one team in a conference that can say they played that schedule ever?
Yep only in because of the name right? Not because they beat 10 Power 5 opponents and 12 FBS opponents (No team has more wins against FBS teams) They are 12-0 and have the #1 SOR on espn and beat currently ranked Michigan, Northwestern, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, and beat Stanford and Virginia Tech who were ranked this year. Oh did I mention ND beat Michigan with their backup QB and RB and that ND travels the most out of any team in the country which takes a lot of wear and tear on the team, Especially with the stress of passing the strict academic standards of Notre Dame university. Keep hating on ND you 🤡 22-3 last 25 games and you'll think you are a genius if they finally lose although you're another 🤡 that's been wrong each week.
The committee has said time and time again the conference championships dont hold as much weight as having 2 losses. ND traveled around 10000 miles to play this schedule. They didnt complain about shit being unfair. They just went undefeated instead. *side note: people only say "just saying" when theyre bitching about something no one wants to hear.
Assuming the top 3 stay the same: 1. Alabama, 2. Clemson, 3. Notre Dame, and each #4 contender wins next week, who would deserve #4 the most? Georgia, Ohio State, Oklahoma, or UCF?
If Oklahoma wins they will have averaged their only loss while Ohio State lost to a 6 and 6 team and UCF needs to play power 5 teams to even be considered
If Georgia wins, they'd without a doubt be in, but if they lose and the other 3 win, I'm not so sure who I'd pick. I wouldn't be surprised if it were OSU because they have the strongest wins but also the worst loss out of all of them.
Notre dame is my team and always will be however........After watching Alabama today Notre dame doesn’t want to play them. I’m being serious. Alabama is not a college team. They are pro players in disguise. I’ve never seen a team this good.
Hating? USC is bad this year. Washington State got blown out by Washington. Washington State BLEW THE FUCKING DOORS OF OF USC. You guys had all kinds of trouble with them. Now I know it is one game, and teams can come up, and teams can come down any given day, from mental attitudes to more... But it is a trend. Sure, you blew out a lot of teams you should have, but on your biggest games you kept it closer than you should have, and haven't had a lot of great competition; and as we seen Michigan wasn't quite the pedestal it should have been. I don't see them coming close to Alabama this year - Alabama is just so god damn good right now. They would embarrass all of the teams you played and hang 80, and would beat ND with third stringers. And don't worry, this isn't an anti-ND bias, they are a good team this year - compared to 2012 which they were fakes. No, this time, it is that Alabama would embarrass just about any team they throw in the 4 spot. And between them and Clemson, I pick Ala by 14.
@@adrianbundy3249 Clemson struggled with Syracuse, so your point? other game do not matter. I have seen Notre Dame beat Michigan, Michigan beat MSU, and MSU beat ND. So how does one comparable game matter? in 2002 OSU almost lost to Cincinatti but then went on to win the National championship. your "logic" holds no water
'Ohio State almost lost to Cinci but won the title that year'; um to me they lost that title. Miami was robbed of the title that year by the worst call by the refs in history if you recall - it may have been the single most controversial call of all time - where people made videos about it years later. My logic is you aren't looking the part where you needed to - and the ACC is historically weak right now, so blowing out Syracuse just doesn't impress me. Hell, the S&P computer models had them some 20 points lower than the human pundits when you played them - which is a huge discrepancy not normally seen. A lot of inflating vs mediocre teams. My logic isn't that you aren't maybe in the top 4 legitly, it is just #2 Clemson is better than anyone not named Alabama by a good margin - but Alabama is just soo far above everyone and even Clemson by 14 points I feel, that even backups would beat even ND. You aren't getting the fact this isn't me diving at your team. Alabama is consistently far better than ND this year, game after game, game after game. Even that 10 point halftime tie ended up with a 40+ margin of victory, all within the second half. Holy smokes.
I agree with you on that. USC has had the #4 recruiting class for the last two years, so there is no reason for the Trojans to play like they do. No other team (loaded with talent like that) would get away with it.

ND barely won. This SC team isn’t bowl eligible. You know what that means? They suck and ND barely won.
Dame will be in the College playoff since they get a pass from playing a Conf champion game . But they would be dominated by either Oklahoma or Ohio State which one will be left out .
Oklahoma and Ohio State both have 1 loss but they would dominate ND? Did your crystal ball tell you that?

@Robert Lind Here's my prediction of the College Football Playoffs for Norte Dame!?
Clemson Tigers 50 and
Norte Dame 3!!!😁
I think Notre dame played reserve a little to prevent any injuries. I have a feeling that Notre dame will surprise a lot of people come playoff time.
Notre Dame doesnt have an option to be reserved. If they lost this game they would have been out period. USC just came to play... give credit
I think the 8700 miles of travel wore on them a little. It showed last night. USC did show up to play, which wasn't really a shock. But, after a lackluster 1st qtr, they woke up and it was 24-0 until one garbage time TD when ND second string DL was playing.
@Jason O'Daniel STFU, sniveling little jealous prick.

#1 strength of record not strength of schedule

Hope ND wins it all. Ready for some new blood in these playoffs.
@L doubt it but we'll see.
I think ND can beat Clemson, but they'll have to play the game of their lives.
You really think Notre Dame have a shot against Bama, Georgia, Clemson or Ohio State? Notre Dame will need a Miracle to beat one of those team. It will be tough.

@@chuckee_chuck OU can torch ND and STILL lose because they allow everyone to torch them right back.

@@chuckee_chuck Texas is better than the majority of team's on ND's schedule but not all. ND has not lost which means they have beaten better teams than Texas which beat OU. How about my boy Fink. Man amongst boys☘️

Well said brother!
Just have nd join a conference... problem solved. Losing a close conference championship looks better for a potential playoff team than not playing one at all. Just saying

@@SteakSauceIceCream Why join a conferene when you don't have too? Im just saying
The best season for the Irish. They played like champions! They have the luck of the Irish

Usc could have won if they didn't flop again in the second half and didn't fumble the ball twice when they had momentum.

(FANSIDED)
When is USC going to be good again? They have great recruits but seems like they do nothing with all that talent...
Was at the game and ND didn’t look like a top 4 teams so I’m glad our team didn’t lose too ugly. Notre Dame could easily be #2 or #1.

What makes you think that a Clemson team that struggled to beat Syracuse would win? How about an Oklahoma defense that couldn't stop your grandmother, or an OSU team that lost to Purdue?
Did u say that about bama last year and Ohio state the year before that. Committee has made it clear confrence championships aren't that highly valued
Seems like everyone forgets it was a rivalry game..their rivals for a reason. 12-0 ND.
Honestly it doesn't matter which one of them is number 4 cause they would beat nd regardless.
National title will go to the OU or OSU should they get in
I was at that game
Irish wins natty mark it up.
L, I feel even if Alabama started their third stringers, they might still win. Not sure if Clemson would though.
o.O
@@adrianbundy3249 ND would totally win, stop hating man
Holy smokes.
let's go ND! 🍀 fuck all the haters, we comin for that national championship bitches!
clay helton is a horrible coach get him outta here
I agree with you on that. USC has had the #4 recruiting class for the last two years, so there is no reason for the Trojans to play like they do. No other team (loaded with talent like that) would get away with it.
He should get another year. His team was ridiculously young this year.
patrick james that kinda true
@@patrickjames1798 You are absolutely right, Clay Helton is an outstanding coach and I believe that he will turn this program around.
@@Shindler39 yeah he's already won the pac 12 and a rose bowl.
Bye bye USC. No bowl game for y'all.. NotreDame strong baby ✔✔
ND is so overrated. Strugglebus win.
Gold Helmets....Oo Rah =)
Little did they know...
Im just here to see our new QB......
Norte Dame is going to get fucking destroyed in the playoff just like 2012 against Alabama
Notre dame thinks there so good they struggled against USC
Just keep hating while they keep winning and keep saying that they suck because the greatest football team ever assembled pro or college gave up 62
Boy... ND is about to get a beating in the Playoffs
I think it was more USC playing their freakin' butts off than poor play from ND. Just my thoughts. Many of the players love Helton from what I've heard and probably were "playing for their coach".
at least they're IN the playoffs. Who is your team?
@@hawkeyeten2450 nahhhhhhhh. It's cause Notre Dame isn't good lol. They play baby cakes all year long. They almost lost to a few. Michigan doesn't really have a good defense. They would get dominated by most of the top 10. I bet UCF would beat them. It's just sad a mediocre team now can make it into the playoffs because of past success. They won't make it past round one and they will have to join a conference to get in again
@@chuckee_chuck ND has the #1 strength of record, sooooo....nice try. Clemson gave up 600 yards to South Carolina. They also nearly lost to Syracuse, while ND beat them 36-3.
@@chuckee_chuck what a joke lol you haters can eat shit. #ND12-0playoffbound
Feels good
Bama still gonna wreck em
Notre Dame might be the most overrated team in the cfp era, they’ll get blown out in the playoff(I hope I’m wrong cause I’m tired of Bama/Clemson but I don’t think I am)
Probably not spelling this right but galaotete is a fucking monster. Why have they not started him every game. Makes no sense. Get rid of the whole trash usc staff and let's get someone who actually knows something about football.
