I feel like the only way the egg can controled techno is to donate 100$ to him on stream since his chat is canonically his voices so if the egg is another voice it's better not be cheap

I also have a theory for why Techno values his pets so much (Carl, Edward, Steve, Blitz)
He knows that people will betray/use/leave him so he personifies his animals and pets like how Edward wasn't a pet but more of a roommate. He got even lose because Carl, his horse, was captured. He puts too much faith in these animals because they're his only true friends, he even said "You guys are too cowardly to take out your revenge on me so you after my defenseless animals" showing how Techno would do anything for these "roommates" of his; they won't leave him and I think that's Technoblade's true weakness, abandonment.

True. I have a head canon they are from the antartic empire but wilbur and tommy called Techno over so he goes and then Phil follows. Idk what happened to that now.
Yeah I see that as well. They live in the tundra, far away from everyone else. Not to mention that Techno canonically fought in multiple wars with and against Tommy, Wilbur, and Phil during SMPEARTH. Hence, that's how they all know each other.

Techno having experienced the horrors of war caused him to attack all governments, this however turned him into a traitor and made it impossible for him to live peacefully and this cycle of betraying and being betrayed is what makes him the blood god, impossible for him to escape the life of war he set for himself
I mean a lot of veterans sometimes blame the government for what happened to them and hate the government so it's kinda realistic in a way
You forgot techno's first mission ever: killing the ruler of mineplex.
Anarchist from the start
One thing to note about the blood god status is that it's vague and has changed multiple times throughout the years. What I mean by that is Technoblade is considered by some as the apostle/worshipper of the blood god, and by others as the blood god himself.
Due to his nature of calling himself in third person, it's easy to assume that he's referring to himself. But recently, a few months ago in one of his Dream SMP streams, when the chat tells him the origin of his "Blood for the Blood God" quote (from Warhammer 40k), he reacted surprisedly to the name of the blood god.
While I don't remember the exact wording, he said something like this: "I've been worshipping a god named Korn this whole time!?"
That piece of information changes his status tremendously in a subtle way. I do not recall any other time he refers himself as a worshipper, unless you count his initial quote as one.
My opinion on this is that I'm still not sure which one he is. Maybe you could make a video analyzing that?

Slight correction to this month old comment but as a 40k fan I must tell you it's spelt Khorne.
Maybe when he says 'blood for the blood god' he is killing people almost to please the actual blood god-?

@@besro8263 actually you just reminded me of something, in 40k there is a faction called dark eldar, they're souls are bound to be eaten by a god of pain and pleasure they keep the god from doin so by inflicting massive amounts of pain onto others in order to satiate the God temporarily to keep it from eating them, now you may ask why I bring this up?
Well it's to give reason to a silly fanon hypothetical, what if Khorne and techno shared a similar yet very different relationship and techno offers Khorne blood in order to keep Khorne from tugging on his soul with annoying voices that demand blood and spam E?

Techno is definetly my favorite character on the DreamSMP

I think techno making the chat canon was an amazing decision, like whenever techno is about to kill someone the entire chat is spamming blood for the blood god, like when he killed tubbo, at first they were going, “don’t do it” but right before he killed him the chat had started to say blood for the blood god.
The way I see it, It's gotten to a point where Techno could care less about his own happiness. His goal is making a better world for the people he cares about.
Tbh, this really just proves the point of how attachment is the true weakness for most people on the Dream smp, Tommy lost so much because of his attachment to his discs and l’manburg, Wilbur because of his addiction to destruction, and of course techno, who’s only loss by actual fight was because of his attachment to his pets. This is why I think dream is essentially the ultimate cold blooded fighter in since there’s nothing he has to lose.
A personal bit of head cannon I have is I think Techno is under the constant influence of the blood god Khorne. I know 40k lore probably isn't something the dream smp would incorporate, but blood for the blood god is the war cry of the world eaters and every time someone says it I instantly think of 40k

I've always thought there's a different "blood god" he's referring to than the 40k one. I like to see it as the "blood god" being a personification of the voices in his head telling him to commit further violence. He doesn't fight out of his own will, but because of people in his head telling him to do so. This is furthered by the voices always saying "blood for the blood god" whenever there's a moment where Techno has the opportunity to be violent
If you want to consider random unrelated events, Minecraft Mondays are a lot more canon. They are the reason Quackity fears/hates Technoblade so much, even before the Red Festival.
Quackity gets left for dead by Technoblade there. Technoblade doesn't even remember him.
It was a bit some time after Technoblade joined Dream SMP.
I think that techno will have an arc after the egg arc where he will see someone die of old age. Maybe a pet, maybe Phil, who knows. Techno starts to realise that everything he works for is for his friends, but that in the end none of it even matters because not only will he have to watch all his friends die, but he won’t even be able to pass on himself because of his immortality. Techno comes to the sinking, horrific realisation that nothing he does even matters. This could end with techno’s redemption arc where he realises that his friends are alive and he needs to make them happy before they pass on and leave him behind. Maybe that’s how techno’s character ends, with him gaining an appreciation for human life and going off to farm potatoes after the dragon/dream/dreamXD etc is killed
WILBUR IS CANONICALLY 41?! MY BRAIN!!! I know he is Fundy's father, but Fundy is his first, and presumably only, born and is canonically about 14!

My assumption would be that he’s 41 now after the 13.5years of being dead making him 28 predeath which I think is Wilburs real age

This was a really good analysis! I am always bothered when Technoblade is simply treated as a weapon, when his character is so much more than that.
The voices are interesting to me. They’re often depicted as malicious entities, constantly screaming, but I think there’s something more there. Of course, this could be my bias as a resident voice myself. But I think they’re not completely evil. The most obvious example was with the egg, which the voices, in a way, attacked the Egg in Techno’s mind. There’s more instances, but those have debatable canonicity, so I won’t get into it. But it’s not all Blood God this and Blood God that, just the majority of it-

I'd describe the voices as being very protective of Technoblade and the people/animals close to him, but also just very removed from any consequences and the inLore reality. Same as the actual viewers. So when someone in the story seems to be a threat to or even just insults Technoblade (who the voices think of as theirs), they get upset and demand retribution. Even if that retribution is wildly inappropriate or it is a bad moment for it.
That also explains the voices reaction to the egg because he is not for the egg to control. The voices get territorial.
They care about Phil and Ranboo as well as the animals because Technoblade cares and the two of them have shown care and loyalty towards him.
So the voices definitely love Technoblade, but in a somewhat unhealthy/selfish way. They see him as their champion, wanting to see him dominate others, being upset when he is insulted and demanding revenge for any perceived betrayals. They do not care about what is best in the long run.
(this is not a commentary about CC/viewer relationship, even if it could be interpreted that way. My comment solely discusses the inLore voices and my head canon of them)
The way I see it, the voices are just a personification of his own mind. His own experiences in life has lead him to develop a warriors mind of always thinking like he's in a battle, the voices are part of his trauma but they are also his fighting instinct.
I really wish that the tale from the SMP (pig characters) is canon to the techno family
That would be honestly fascinating, because in the Western episode, there's a wanted poster for Sir Billiam, yet the sheriff is also a pig... So if this were correct, the Sheriff would be hunting down a family member.

my only issue w techno is that his commitment to anarchy sometimes leads him to working with tyrants which seems contradictory (for example destroying lmanburg w dream). this isn’t necessarily a bad thing but it might set a dangerous precedent for him
Because dream has treated techno nicely techno said it himself in the it ends today stream plus dream isn’t the president of his country and I don’t see how he’s a tyrant when he doesn’t force anyone in his country to do anything for him

Dream’s goal was to get rid of lmanburg. He doesn’t use much power over his nation. Only later was his plan revealed.
Tbh I dont know why we are even siding with l'manburg. Because in lore everything was peaceful until Tommy caused havoc in the dream smp. Dream was just trying to get Tommy under control and soon everything goes down hill when they made l'manburg.

Techno wants war, no matter how much he tries not to. It's the reason his first reaction to being offered someone to be killed in the name of tyranny is to do it. It would incite a greater war. His first reaction to his ideals being ignored is to explain himself again and destroy everything before his opponents have a chance to react, a chance to think about it. He doesn't want to be understood. He wants to destroy when it makes sense to him. But he's still not a monster, and allies with anyone not his direct enemy. Because he does try to be a better person, but the voices demand blood, just as his enemies do. It's a cycle he cannot escape for as long as he treats himself like a blade.
That's my take at least. I feel that the Red festival and Techno's excuse are overlooked when talking about the character. If we were to take his word though, he wouldn't have been peer pressured by Jschlatt or his guards, but instead by the voices calling for him to do it.
Technoblade's favor to Dream scares me.
If you can't tell by my name my headcanon is the cult theory where people gave their life to techno but I put a twist on it were I think that when the cultist sacrificed themselves for techno this gave him a connection to the nether and mutated him to his pigish form and his body shifts and changes his pig features randomly so it fits with all the animatics styles ranging from just some tusks to being a almost full on pig

I feel like tommy is really just don’t care bc he just can’t even see the good from techno, he only see the gain from him, not him yes he care to his friend but he just think that techno is just someone that is like a robot who doesn’t care about anything and just kills, techno is just good thinking about why he hates government, he just wants to be free and everyone else to be free. The voices are the government that techno sees and wants no one else to feel like that.

My headcanon is that Techno is from a country far away being a knight or something who end up used and betrayed by the governement who throw him away after a battle. This causes him to loose faith in governments and the people that runs them causing him to become an anarchist. They have made minecraft monday canon as seen in the stream with Technos execution so my belief is that was where Techno met Dream for the first time and Dream relised how strong Techno was causing him to want to fight Techno which in turn caused the 100,000 dollar duel. And that this is how they know each other from before.

He's a character introduced in the middle of a huge war with nothing much to show
He's funny and a pretty bad-ass character, but we know nothing about him
I do see him as a more central villain on the Manberg vs. Pogtopia War because Tommy is more in the right
So then after that his character is left up in the air with one question. What now? So we
Take him to the arctic to retire and swear off his violent ways but gives in secretly and also becomes one of the strongest characters because of this too and forms a relationship with Philza who is attacked and robbed
And then his execution. This is how you take Techno from an irredeemable character to a character who seeks good and shows emotion, but has a bad way of showing it. The duel between him and Quackity is so damn good and just amazing because of how these two are polar opposites

Tommy and Techno's relationship is really wholesome and neat because these guys, hate each other, but Techno is given the chance to trust someone again, and he takes it

It shows how Tommy and Techno have distanced themselves and have completely different ideals now, but deep down both care a little for each other

I just realized, since the tale dog the smp are kinda canon, th masquerade had the egg, and demanded blood from sir billiam, and when badboyhalo brought techno to the egg the egg siad something to him which reversed says "do I know you?"
What I mean is, the egg is the blood god techno has been worshipping and making blood for, and maybe at one point he was sir billiam and then he went mad and does not remember, the egg put voices in his head just like how the egg got into foolish g's head

I’d say what will happen next for techno’s character, is that he will break dream out of prison but I feel like there a ton of reasons why.
My theory is that he dislikes gov is cuz hypixel had a gov like the capitol in the hunger games (if you know what I mean)
And the blitz was just for entertainment like the hunger games and he knew it all along but couldn't say anything

I think it's more on the sense of "I have feelings" than being biologically human. The quote is "I'm a person!" btw, I just think people see him as a living weapon. People know he has feelings, but treat him as if he was but a means. Techno agrees to help people under the proposition of "I've got your back, you've got my back", and when people ditch him, being that he's no longer useful, they're essentially backstabbing him, so he pulls out his own knife and brutally frontstabs them in retaliation. The point is I think techno used that more in the sense of "I have feelings" rather than "I am a member of the species homo sapiens"

And how about the history of Bbh, I feel like he is more important in the history of SMP but no one really talks about his origins
Wilbur has said during his writing he imagined Techno was 40-something, Wilbur was 30-something, and Tommy was 20/early twenties. So Techo was 40, not Wilbur
Wilbur's canonical age is mid 40s, including his afterlife, and techno has also been said to be early 20s and 100s of years old, so I don't think we really have a clear age

I personally believe rather than the cult sacrificing themselves, they gave him great wealth and their souls, not through death, but through subscribing, and the wealth? Donations, thats why the chat is all voices, they gave their souls to techno, who keeps them inside himself, which is why he is so strong, he has all their skills, he can think through the power of millions of minds, he is basically Ermac from MK but with one soul supreme

I assumed that the war/battles he had fought in previously where the Antarctic ones, just re skinned a little so as to fit in cannon, which is where he met phil and makes sense why he picked teh snow again since he is either used to it or finds it calming

Oi i have a idea what if the dsmp final ep is the dreamon mask comeing off (dreams face revel) and then someone like quackity picks up the mask and puts it on leading into season 2
I like to think what makes techno so powerful is that it's his determination and will, not the so called power of the blood god or his weapons. It's his sheer willpower to even take on the government, his courage to take on multiple combatants, to keep his violent tendencies in check, to give himself to his friends this in essence gives him his fierce individuality to rebel against these powers that simply don't want him to exist. And to things that have power over others through fear or comtrol, that's the scariest thing in the world.
and also Technoblade has never actually done anything wrong in the Dream SMP he first joined to overthrow a tyrant (schlatt) and when he realised that they were just gonna put another one up (tubbo) (its like the definition of madness trying something again and again and expecting a different result) so he tried to stop that then he completely retired being violent but he was hunted captured threatened his friend (Philza) was arrested but after all the barely escaping with his life he didn't become violent he let the government stay and when someone who was exiled by said government (Tommy) he let him stay (bit bumpy at first) and saved him from someone who hunted them (Dream) and was kind and gave them a home and then finally after all that the first excuse he was betrayed by them and after all that after all the government had done hunted him tried to kill him punished his friends had people he trusted betray him well when Dream said "do you have any Withers?" was there any other options? and after that he's been peaceful and just training (and playing golf) but still he was tricked and imprisoned. Techno is not evil and I will fight anyone who says otherwise.

Technos skin is kinda cannon which makes me think that he was once a king. Perhaps him and Phil were once rulers of a kingdom or something of the like and something with the governmental body caused him and Phil to either lose the kingdom or to be kicked out(which kinda fits with the Theseus origin). This would imply that techno is significantly older than tommy and will, but that’s fine considering how many plot holes there already are.

I like to believe that Techno made a pact with Death herself. Since Death is characterized in the SMP, it’s possible Techno could’ve made an agreement to gather more souls in exchange for sparing his own from passing. Philza is also called an “Angel of Death,” so it’s possible Philza could have met Techno due to the pact.
He keeps getting betrayed by people he thought cared for him like Tommy

I think it would make a lot of sense if SMP Earth was canon in the Dream SMP, because then Techno would already know Tommy, Wilbur, and Phil before the events of the Dream SMP. It is stated in the lore that Techno and Phil were great friends before the Dream SMP, so having them work together in the Antarctic Empire would make sense. I think you could place the events of SMP Earth pretty soon after Techno and Dream had their fight (when Phil found Techno) and then have the winstreak/duel against Hypixel and the Great Potato War after it, which would be the last events in Techno's canon before he joined the SMP.
I always thought of techno's characters has some kind of experience like a piglin able to be in the overworld without zombifying
